  1. I don't think they're taking 2 RBs in this class, so I think Doerue is off the table for them. They really want Wright, and I assume they'll reserve a spot for him if he chooses to go down that path. To be honest, I think they're going to fuck up and not take two more linebackers (they'll only get one of Harris, Gbenda, Edwards). Of course they're still holding out hope for Nakobe Dean, even though it's clear to level-headed people (of which aggy lacks) that it's a Georgia-Bama battle. Anyway, barring a meltdown and several decommitments, they'll claim that Jimbo is the greatest coach of all time and that the allure of aggy cannot be beaten by the weak sips on the trail.

seems like they're wasting denis leary.

Yeah, it seems like they're building toward him and Smurf eventually meeting. Until then, he'll just continue to kiss Deran's ass and try to avoid Pope.

  3. I thought I'd bump this since I've caught up on season 3. This season has been pretty good and thankfully hasn't been cheesy. My only complaints are that it's been a bit slow to develop and that it's on TNT in the first place. There's still 7 episodes left and is slowly but surely developing, so it should only get better from here on out.

    - Probably won't get Cain with LSU ratcheting up the pressure after losing John Emery. More likely is Glass or the kid from Amarillo.

    - Center could be Chris Akporoghene, plus a swing guy. Don't know if we need a junior college kid on the O-line if Cosmi is what he's cracked up to be.

    - The kid out of Lufkin, Carl Williams, is a DT I hope we offer. Javasia Brunson is another good kid from there. JUCOs are a crapshoot, we can't just assume a Texas-level JUCO will pop up out of nowhere and even if he does we'd have to fight off many other programs for him which is not at all a guarantee.

    - Who knows with LB. Wish we had more clarity on the Gbenda situation.

    - DB looks spot-on. IDK why you have 'late bloomer' at every position that isn't full yet though, it's entirely possible the staff circles back to an existing target they're already familiar with.

I wouldn't give up on Cain with Drayton recruiting him. Especially since LSU is on the downswing with Coach O. I wonder if the staff will ever offer Logan Sagapolu out of Utah for the center spot. I haven't even looked at his film, but it'd be nice to keep building a pipeline into Utah.

Giles is so fucking bad. I mean, he’s one of the laziest, most disconnected pieces of shit to work a phone for a college since Mac McWhorter.

I don't remember well since I've only been following the team since 2004 or so, but when did McWhorter start phoning it in? I could be wrong, but I remember he was a good assistant coach early on under Mack.

  6. Does anyone know when the plans for the south end zone and new arena will be finalized? I think I remember reading that one of them should be finalized in late August, but I can't remember which one or if that's even accurate.

  7. I hope Switzerland wins, but I'm not too confident since Lichtsteiner won't be able to play. Schär is out too, but he's more replaceable than Lichtsteiner. If Yann Sommer and Shaqiri both have great games, then the Swiss will win. If not, Sweden will continue their improbable run.

I don't know how someone with any intellect looks at this graphic and shares Chef Terry's view that A&M has the best business school in the country. They didn't even have enough highly ranked programs for Price to tweet out a graphic that could somehow portray Mays as the best business school in the country. Hell, they put the 12th best public management program on that graphic and the 20th best public business program overall on there. Damn pathetic. I guess that's quintessentially aggy though, so it's appropriate. Mays is a good business school, but McCombs is much better. Mays' reputation is built on sending enough accounting/PPA graduates with inflated grades into the big 4 to stay relevant. Even with that convoluted strategy, McCombs still produces better accounting/MPA graduates, and the salary data shows it.

Expectations are low for this season. But the next season things should take off. When you look at all the other coaches who won National Championships in year two or year three, get ready to add Scott Frost to the list.

I don't expect them to do it that early because I think they just have too much lack of talent to win big that quickly. I could see them winning a NY6 bowl in the 2019 season though. I don't like Nebraska, but Frost is clearly a great coach. I look forward to their games against Wisconsin for the next few years.
