EG lost his confidence, but no CP and the firepower just isn't there. If he doesn't do a Willis Reed for G7, the Warriors are NBA champs.  What a shame though, this was Houston's year. Feel bad for the young fans.

Who the fuck even is this?

And obviously he's misinformed in saying that we'd benefit from winning because of conference pride... When the fuck did we ever have confidence pride? Go home barrett, your aggy is showing.

    He’s an SEC homer.

  3. I've watched both seasons, and I'm excited for the third. Thankfully, it looks like Scott Speedman's character (Baz) is going to be phased out sometime during this season. The direction his character was going was painful to watch, and he was a drag on the entire show.

Serious question: Is Barton Simmons the least successful member of his graduating class at Yale?

Paul Allen might be dead, but at least he was a Vice President at Pierce & Pierce.

He might be the least successful, but he sure did outkick his coverage.

  5. I don't know how many of y'all go on r/cfb, but there's a brainwashed high school aggy who is basically aspiring to be the next Looch. I don't go on there much anymore because of how heavily modded it is, but the self-awareness of their fans on there is lower than normal for them.

They're similar in that they're both good academic schools, although I can't imagine they're similar in many other ways. I've been a casual fan of theirs ever since I was a kid, simply because alligators are my favorite animal.

They're down to 3 scholarship QB's at the moment, and they all largely suck. I think Mullen will get the team better though. People forget they've still won the SEC East 2 out of the last 3 years.

Yeah I was not impressed with Franks when I watched one of their games last year.

  7. I've seen a lot of people say that UF is UT's sister school, essentially UT-Gainesville. Do any of all y'all know much about it or follow their team? I'm curious to see how they do under Dan Mullen.

  8. I'll be rooting for Switzerland. I started watching them in 2014, and I've followed them ever since. Their absolute ceiling is a quarterfinal appearance, but I'll be rooting for them nonetheless.

In the 2010 National Championship game we had an OL of Hix, Huey, Hall, Tanner, Ulatoski and Greg Smith at TE.  Tre Newton at TB.  Greg Davis calling plays.  That team won every damn regular season ballgame.  Is Anderson, Vahe, Shack, Rodriguez , Kerstetter and Beck at TE so drastically worse that the 2010 group?  If the light comes on for Ehlinger like it did for Colt we can win a lot of games.

That might be true, but McWhorter>Hand.

There seems to be two school of thoughts in the fanbase regarding Stanford:

    1) Screw Stanford. They can stay the hell out of Texas.

    2) Good for the young man! Stanford is such a wonderful university, best of luck young fella! You can't fault him for taking a free Stanford education.

Last comment I'll make on it:

We need the in state recruits going to Stanford to win again. Look at their roster.

Paulson Abedo, Obi Eboh, Michael Williams, Kaden Smith, and Walker Little would be playing prominent roles on the team had they picked Texas.

If Herman gets the team to consistently win again, then Stanford's academic pitch won't matter. Like you've said, UT is far from an academic slouch, obviously.

You're going to teach them financial modeling on the fly? Without them ever taking calculus or trig? How the f*** does that work?

I'd bet that a good amount of them have at least taken trig or calc in high school. Stanford only offers financial modeling as a graduate course. They have no undergraduate business school and their economics degree is less focused on technical business aspects since it's a BA.
