2024 Hurricane Season thread of DOOM
I hope everyone stays safe. We don’t have hurricanes here, but the tornadoes can be a bitch.

Texas to legalize gambling?
How did you know?

Wrong end of the state. 😂

Texas to legalize gambling?
Nebraska will be 10 years after that. Gambling is a joke. They have powerball, keno, scratch tickets, video machines, etc. but become high and mighty towards card games that actually gives players a chance.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
I’d hate to be the one to clean up that mess. Scott Frost was a terrible, shitty coach but at least the roster wasn’t totally screwed. Next year will be interesting. I’m glad the game is going to be in Lincoln.

The Gun Owner’s thread
I have bought and sold quite a few guns and ammo on Gunbroker. I can definitely recommend it.

PS: I was going to bust your balls about the women bowling picture until I looked at it… No words… Not much NIL money to be made there… see, I got jokes.

Yep. Their egos are so full of themselves that think they created everything. The reason why we’re shitty in football is because we’ve had shitty coaches and shitty ADs. Osborne kept trying to go the easy and cheap route hiring coaches instead of hiring the best available. Nebraska only got 20 more million dollars a year to go to the big10. Now, I think it’s over $50 million a year. The money and conference stability was the reason, it didn’t have anything to do with Texas. But, believe what you want.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
It was most definitely a penalty. I actually thought Travis was out of bounds when he hit him when I watched the game. It was definitely late, but at least he wasn’t trying to hit him in the head.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
I wouldn’t call it a dirty hit. It was more questionable than dirty. The two guys even went to lunch afterwards and hashed it out. Deion was eventually going to get that kid killed. You cannot play that many snaps on both sides of the ball without getting hurt. You should worry more about what Deion is doing to the players than what I’m advocating. He also called too many pass plays and got his own kid’s back broke.

One more, I was looking in the paper one afternoon when I saw a classified ad that was selling a compound bow. I said there is a 50 to 70 pound compound bow for sale. She replied, “isn’t that a little heavy to be carrying around?”

Mrs. ExCorn Whiskey and I were driving out in the country one day when she asked, “Is there any of those horned rabbits around here?

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
I told my coworker that he was going to get Travis Hunter killed by playing him too much. He asked me why I thought that I said because if I were the coach, I would put the biggest baddest MFer on him and tell that player to drive him into the ground on ever play because he is their best player. I only watched a handful of CU games and that’s exactly what happened. I also can’t believe he played him almost the full game after he got out of the hospital.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
I work with a CU fan and this is his exact attitude. He said this year they were already four times better than they were last year. He is just glad that Dieon brings name brand recognition to the college. It is interesting to me seeing the way primetime is doing things his way and Rhule is doing things another way. Rhule is trying to bring in a solid foundation and sprinkling in the transfers. It will be interesting to see who is more successful, but I am betting on Rhule in the long haul.

You’d be amazed what prisoners have access to in prison. Personally, I’ve avoided prison, but know enough people who’ve been there. With his money, he’s probably living like a king in prison. on the Deion front, either way CU will be burnt to the ground when he leaves. If he is fired, the roster management will be shit. If he succeeds, he will take half his players with him, and they will be in the same situation, as if he is fired.

I’ll admit that was an ass whooping. I got lucky and thought the games started at 3. I flipped it on and they were down two set already. I watched half of the third set and switched it over to Bering Sea Gold. Luckily, we got good news on today in recruiting. I’m just glad I didn’t throw a $100 on it with one of you dudes. I was tempted. I figured if I won it’d be tough getting money out of a Texan. Haha I kid.

Hey, I owe you an apology. I talked to my farmer friend and I guess the better corn is like a real thing that farmers argue over whose corn is the best. I just don’t think it’s a state by state thing. I’m also sorry about giving you shit about only having one football championship in 50 years. While I’m at it I will apologize and say that you can keep your 1970s trophy. Let’s just all get along. PS your picture of Pelini pissing his pants was funny. 😆

Tell me about Nebraska
Here is my perspective, and I am not saying it is right, but this is what I know from what I read. Colorado was the first team that was ready to jump ship to the Pac 12 from the big 12. Texas was pushing for the longhorn network instead of Big 12 network. There were rumblings in Nebraska, was trying to do the same, but I am not sure on the details. Basically all the halves were leaving out to have nots. there was also some rumbling about the revenue sharing. Then 6 teams from Texas were flirting with the PAC-12. That’s when Nebraska jumped ship to the Big-10. There were plenty of incentives to go to the Big Ten to the tune of $20 million once they got vested. Nebraska’s downfall was Pelini’s recruiting and plus his brother Carl got a gig down in Florida I do believe. I think Carl was the brains behind the defense not Bo. I have high hopes for Matt Rhule. his coaching this year was a little suspect and I’m not sure about his offensive coordinator. So he seems to be doing everything right. It’s nice to have some actual football conversation.
