  1. so sick.
  2. last year when arch looked athletic, dynamic, and like someone who might live up to his otherworldly hype, we still never benched quinn even though he couldn’t move the chains against the likes of kentucky, vandy, a&m, and arizona state, and that was with a wildly superior supporting cast. he’s not going to bench arch now with absolutely nobody on the bench or in the pipeline who looks ready to take over. benching quinn would have taken balls. benching arch would take stupidity. it would basically be sark waving the white flag on his career at Texas. it’s not happening.
  3. this is all i was posting in the game thread last night. terrible game plan. tre wisner is our mvp vs OU and we just forget he exists for the first half, and then when we do run the ball, half the time it’s those patented 2nd and 10 runs between the tackles for one yard. our o line can’t protect arch and yet all we were doing was passing and staying in 3rd and long. it was asinine.
  4. you’re a wizard harry!!!
  5. no, i made my position very clear, and you’ve gone and moved the goalposts over to the next town and invented an argument that i never made. you: “there’s literally no downside to benching arch.” me: “of course there’s potential downside.” you: “oh so you think we just have to sacrifice this entire season just in case arch eventually gets good”? straw man.
  6. yeah you’re good. 👌🏼
  7. ok, timmy has chet in round nine as his only keeper.
  8. this is not true. there is a ton of harm in trying, from alienating the best qb on the roster who may not be a lost cause, to sark completely losing his reputation as a great offensive mind and a qb guru. sark is publicly telling us that he’s encouraging arch to take more of a leadership role as the qb even though arch isn’t proven yet, and you think there’s literally no downside to benching that guy? this whole operation, which is years in the works, is based around arch manning being the guy, not just for today, but for next year as well. we are not going to scrap that after 7 games of his first year as a starter, and if you don’t understand the myriad of ways in which our qb guru head coach giving up on the guy he’s built his entire program around after 7 games could turn out to be a bad thing then i don’t know what to tell you. ill just say this: imagine if we did bench arch after 7 whole games as the starter on some jeff fisher/VY shit. imagine that Arch gets replaced, his backup does no better than he did, the team is no better off for it, and next year dia bell is competing with some transfer from Bumfuck State while Arch goes and gets developed at ole miss, or oregon or somewhere else that’s not here. “literally nothing bad could happen from benching him.” sports fans are so short sighted.
  9. this is why i’m not in the camp of “arch is a bust, time to move on.” maybe i've just become old, but back in my day when you brought in a qb with Arch’s pedigree and talent you didn’t just completely give up on him after 9 whole starts. he’s bad, but he’s not the main issue, and he’s still in his first year as a starter, which everyone seems to forget. i’m wondering if some of his inexplicably poor passes to wide open receivers aren’t a product of him feeling pressure that isn’t there due to the fact that he pressure usually *is* there behind this porous o line. you give him a terrible game plan, you have him running for his life every play, you surround him with the worst we’ve had in years supporting cast in years, the third play of every single drive is 3rd and long, and yeah- that’s not exactly ideal conditions for a first year starter to grow. i’d love to see how how much he could grow with better play calling and more help from his teammates, and im not ready to move on and and declare the manning years to be over/a failure.
  10. damn, what an effort, he got up off the ground to make that run for the eventual goal.
  11. mbuemo scores after 60 seconds, man u up 1-0 on liverpool early.
  12. i just fired it up on peacock. i’m not even two minutes in and this is impossibly bad. first off, all of the actors are visibly reading their lines off of cue cards. super distracting. secondly, sabrina carpenter can’t sing. so that didn’t help. but finally, nobody is laughing. it’s been two minutes of silence from the audience despite countless “jokes” where you can tell that they expected people to laugh. if this is what this show is like now, then yikes.
  13. spurs with two huge chances inside the six yard box and they just completely whiff on both.
  14. k, i’ve reached out to timmy; i’ll let you know when he picks another keeper.
  15. that villa goal to go up 2-1 just now was 😍😍😍. 19/20 players play the ball back to emi, but matty cash turns and fires it back against the run of play, where digne has a bergkamp-esque first touch and pass, followed by buendía finishing it beautifully from outside the box. 10/10 goal. just beautiful.
  16. this is infuriating:
  17. @d2o i’m not really keeping up with whose team is whose, but i think rick james bitch said he was keeping mathurin? i don’t know whose roster he was on at the end of the year. @Baboontyme is there any way to check the rosters from the end of last year?
  18. defense and special teams need back surgery and knee replacements from carrying the offense for four hours.
  19. GOAL. LINE. STAND. beastly!!!
  20. we’d better win this early, because sark is as bad as it gets on two point conversions (as well as both 3rd and 4th & 1). it’s the thing he’s worst at.
