The state champs have to compete with all the club and pee wee leagues that give giant rings out weekly all through the year.

The reasoning is by switching sports around you run the risk of winter/spring sports losing two seasons which isn't fair to those kids or coaches. Yes, football is king, but the majority of coaches want to do the right things by the kids and not cause a mutiny on the coaching staffs. No clue. I have just been told that the coaches are very unwilling to make the switch at this point. I don't know their reasoning. -
Sometimes you just gotta fight for your right.

I just saw Raiders with my family at a make shift drive in. As we were driving home after the movie, my 9 yr old daughter said "Dad I have a question about that movie."
I immediately thought of this thread and was prepared to answer the submarine question, but she asked instead "Why was he named Indiana?"
Anybody? -

They teased us for a brief moment when she came out of the tent wrapped in blanket only to reveal her wearing a nightgown underneath.

I was grandfathered into a plan and for years only played 30ish + free hbo, and also bundled our internet and cell phones. Cell phone bill was astronomical (280 for 4 lines plus the 30 bucks a line if we upgraded).
Finally decided to stop being a loyal customer when the TV price went up to 65.
Switched cell phones to Cricket (100 bucks total), got a standalone internet provider (45 for 400 mb), YouTube tv. Even with the price increase, what we have now plus all of our streaming stuff is still a lot cheaper than the Directv/att setup that we had. -
Even with the YouTubeTV price hike it is still only half of what a "value cable" package on 3 televisions would be if I bundled with my current internet provider. I believe I have until the end of August before I get billed the new price so we will see.

Big satellite dishes
Ski trips
Big screen tvs that you had to sit almost directly in front of to see the picture
Houses that had a "sitting room" with no television in it -
Superman III with my kids on HBO Max. The movie doesn't get much love but still contains one of the best superhero scenes ever with bad Superman/good Clark in the junkyard.
-
Cheesy by today's standards, but seeing Superman: The Movie as a kid in theaters and seeing Clark turn into Superman for the first time and save Lois from the falling helicopter is one of my all time favorite scenes.

I tried something similar and could pick up everything but NBC. May look at mounting the antenna to the old directv dish on the roof and see if that helps.
-
The price hike sucks but the DVR features and being able to watch on so many screens at once makes me not want to switch.

You guys with YTTV, switching to Hulu or what would you recommend?

Playing baseball at an old elementary playground, was coming under a high pop fly, and didn't realize how close I was to the rusty backstop. Caught a screw to the face that ripped half my cheek off. I have a nice scar down the left side of my face. A 1/4" or so in the other direction and it would've gotten my eye.

Does this picture help? No, the system is called "click and lock", very similar to tounge and groove, but different in that they lock together without the need of glue or nail. I can't tell without picture, but they usually pop up with they have been installed too tight to the wall, house shifts a bit and they buckle, or it was a poor install to begin with, doesn't take.much to mess up an edge and they don't properly lock in place. Or it could be that moisture got under them
Its a bit of a hassle to fix, but not all that bad, probably the hardest part is finding the floor at various stores, they don't keep the same product long enough. Hopefully you have some leftover, in which case you carefully remove the damaged section and patch in the new. Whats hard about that is finding the end, where you can take out a small section, you can end up chasing it down the hall and clear across a room.
Its been.more than a minute since I've had to deal with that stuff, I'm sure YouTube can help. -
It was installed before we moved in. Appears to be a tongue and groove click system from what I can see.Don’t they normally staple those?
