Did Billingsly have a target against ISU? I saw him out there for sure.
I did not see any targets.

So I keep going back and forth about this defense. If given the chance, I would part ways with PK but who would we hire that would be an immediate improvement. Sark should give him the axe only if he has an actual DC that is proven. We’ve seen what changing schemes and coaches constantly does. This defense has issues but we still are holding teams from scoring and that is with major personnel issues. Hutchinson and Noel are damn good WRs and they abused our freshmen CBS in Jordan and Brooks. We still held them to 21 points.
Also, these issues are not just limited to us. Bama has been giving up tons of yards and points. Okie lite who everyone sucks off here recently gave up 43 and blew a double digit 2nd half lead. Baylor looks like shit after winning the conference last year. Kansas all of the sudden looks beatable again. Let’s let these games play out. This is a good conference with good coaches. If PK can get some impact edge players and some CBs that fit his system, we should be even better. With all that said, if we can get someone like Muschamp or Odom… you make that switch immediately. At the same time, not sure I would just fire PK given our improvement and roll the dice on another DC that may not be proven. This team can make a run next year and it’s probably easier to find a few guys in the transfer portal to build on our improvement than to change schemes and start from scratch.
This all misses the point actually. We keep looking at the backend (DBs) because we see pass yards and long completions. But the reality is it all starts on the DL. And that’s regardless of the DC imo.
Bama has this problem because they have 1 elite DL player in Anderson. If you can’t disrupt the LOS and get to the QB consistently with just 4, teams will score. The game is already tilted towards the offense as it is.

We are absolutely lucky that Hutchison dropped what should have been the easiest TD of his career.

Disagree. I liked the call. Doing that every once in a while forces people to take that into consideration on 4th down. And it should have worked, just didn't execute.
Yeah I liked it too. Just happened Quinn was just off on deep balls today. Felt like he was putting way too much air under the ball.

Saban has input but he doesn't run the defense.
Golding is a good DC but nothing special.
Considering it’s his system, yeah he has input lol. Golding adopted Saban’s system

Saban needs new coordinators.
Neither the OC or DC are top 10 coordinators. Probably not even close. When has that been true for Alabama over the years?
I’d say yea for offense, but they also scored 49. Saban runs the defense. I think it’s more that they just don’t have the dominant DL they have seemingly had forever. Controlling Will Anderson controls the defense from what I’ve seen.

now my burning question: how the hell is Tennessee now in a better position than we are, when their last 10 years have made ours look like heaven
Because they started paying like aggie but have a much better offensive coach

Goal post is coming down lol

That's true, it was a complete backend failure. What I noticed the most was safeties crashing at the wrong time and the corners that were in getting crossed up on slant routes. There's a lot to clean up back there
Terry Joseph sucks

99% sure he was yelling at JT Sanders. JT was facing the Iowa St sideline talking a little after the first kneel-down.
Definitely fuck Campbell for that! That’s 5 star immaturity bitchassedness

Is there any doubt that Charlie Strong would have received a 15-yard penalty if he had done what Campbell did today? Vegas wouldn't even put a line on that because a flag would be guaranteed.
Well the ref would bump into him first of course

it's amazing how anyone could watch that play and see both defenders leave Whitt after the ball was thrown and bitch about Ewers missing him.
Exactly. Quinn def looked there pre snap, but as the ISU LB moved to the middle he came off to the single coverage throw.

Is he talking to a player? Sanders was looking towards that sideline. It wouldn’t be a ref..
