I hope the other Kangs are a little more menacing. This one reminded me of Willy Wonka.

Do think that kang might have been miscast. Hopefully the bad kang will be….badder.

This Kang sometimes seemed like he was channeling Bill Cosby and was about to ask if they wanted a pudding pop. Or like Willy Wonka. It was great to see a true believer villain that isn’t a zealot.

of course you think that. no wonder you still love this show. that line is 100% out of Chuck Lorre's greatest hits. the lowest hanging fruit possible. some straight up CBS Young Sheldon, Meet The Black Neighbors type of humor. OMG, THE GIRL SAID SOMETHING AND THEY GAVE THE MEN CREDIT FOR IT!! OMFG THATS SO FUNNY! JUST PERFECT! seriously, if you think that perfect, download the CBS app and spend the rest of your life laughing your ass off at the groundbreaking humor on shows like 2 and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory. HEY, THE INDIAN GUY HAS AN ACCENT! OMFG THATS HILARIOUS! moron.

I’m choosing to interpret this episode as a satirization of the low-hanging fruit. If they’re serious with that “You’re a woman now” shit, well, the show sucks exactly as much as you say it does.

  3. A beautiful, funny ep that advances that narrative. No complaints.

    Spoiler

Killer end credits scene. Not the best, but great. How do you come back from gay dad sex?

And the final solution had me dying. Biggest laugh of the season.

Anything special I should look for in dryers?

Yeah, a clean dryer vent in your home. I went with a cheap set of simple, well-reviewed GEs last year when inventory was super low due to the pandemic. My  14 year-old front-load, Frigidaire washer had died, so I didn't have much choice on the timing or the product; the Maytags I wanted were out-of-stock. While I was waiting for delivery, I bought a dryer vent cleaning kit off Amazon and cleaned my dryer vent. Made a huge difference and it was very easy to use.

Maybe the best R&M post credits ever

The Johnny Carson acid vat ending is still better, but this is close.

It was a very well-written episode. I enjoyed it more than S5:E1, even though it wasn't as funny or, TBH, very funny at all until the end. Like many recent episodes, it sometimes feels like, "Oh great, another new skin for Pocket Mortys. And another. Yep, one more."

Since they have the same variant essence, I'd imagine Enchantress is either somehow his identical twin sister OR a female Loki. Or maybe magic or technology was used to swap genders. Lots of possibilities.

My magic theory is looking better.

well i loved it. i thought it was hilarious, right from the beginning. "what- were we Blades in that one? that's fuckin' tight." this one reminded me of S 1-3.

I'd agree, if only they hadn't already used that clip to death in the trailers. The show is no longer novel, but it seems like they're trying to take it somewhere different. Gives me a Rebecca-replacing-Diane in Cheers vibe.

    Spoiler

The fast-time robots seem like they could be a new big bad, or they could be an homage to the similar aliens in Invincible. Timelord Jessica, Kyle, and Nimbus the "friend" offer some possibilities. It's not a weak or even mediocre opening. They picked an idea, developed it, stuck with it, and didn't abandon it for easy laughs. That's why I'm hopeful.

  9. I’m starting to hope that this series ends with Picard in a medical facility in a suite adjoining Tudor’s. It’s all a dream. Seven has been visiting Tuvok and sometimes Picard. Everyone else is someone who works there. At the end, Picard dies, but his body is transported to the ST equivalent of Avalon by Q and Wesley Crusher. (King Arthur’s death scene, recall the end of Excalibur.) It would take courage to address terminal, degenerative mental conditions in ST so bleakly.

I have a Hario Skerton Pro. It works fine, but I'd like to be able to stop grinding by hand. I bought and returned two Baratza Encores. On the first one, the plastic impellers broke off during manual cleaning after it clogged on the third use. The second one clogged after the first use. I don't believe I overfilled it and I was grinding a Tanzanian peaberry. I'm not sure that's oily enough to cause major problems after a single use. I prefer a finer grind to go with my Aeropress. Any suggestions on a reliable and easy-to-clean burr grinder?
