1. Jordan Clarkson this series - 43 field goal attempts, ZERO assists.

That is legendary.  He'll be the subject of Kobe's ESPN+ show in the near future - this is how you do it kids.

Too busy marketing that Uncle Drew movie

More likely watching the game with his father plotting where they can move to this offseason now that Tatum has taken over Boston.

This was bad, bad offense..... historically bad.  Almost no way Boston could have won.

A lot of that was Lebron.

I've always thought that Lebron is the best defender in the league when he wants to be and in the 2nd half we saw that.  He was contesting everything, flying around on defense, and crowding the Celtics shooters making them generally uncomfortable.  It's just a shame that he can't give that effort because of all the other things that he's asked to do for the team.

That was he was able to give this kind of effort defensively while putting up 35-15-9 and playing 48 minutes in his 100th game of the season is just mind-bottling.

  4. For any other player, Kyrie not being in the building would be just weird.

But then, Myrie oops I mean Kyrie probably gives less than two shits about the Celtics, just as he didn't give shits about the Cavs when he was there.  Kyrie cares about Kyrie.

  5. Actually, the prison population has been dropping for many years, both nationwide and here in Texas - that inconvenient fact is just pretty much ignored by the media.  There are some states where the population is rising, but the most states are not doing business as usual.

    https://www.themarshallproject.org/2018/05/18/maryland-leads-as-prison-populations-continue-to-decline

The one age demographic where the prison population is increasing are those over 55; just as in the non-incarcerated population, people are living longer and all the Baby Boomers getting old is putting a strain on finances.  Those over 55 are the most expensive offenders to house and care for (you wouldn't believe how many offenders in Texas are in wheelchairs, on dialysis, afflicted with dementia/alzheimers, have hep C) and there's no easy answer.  Most of those over 55 are incarcerated because of a heinous offense and should a rapist/child molester/murderer get an early release just because they are old?  Tough question.

What caused a 25-point swing between when I left at halftime and turned the game on a minute ago?

    1) GS started making their 3s and Houston didn't.

    2) The refs also gave GS a little pickup when they needed.  So nice of them to do that.

Supporting cast really came through last night.  They'll have to do the same and more.  Jeff Green needs to have 20... Not looking good for Cleveland.

If JR & Korver can hit about half of their 3s, the Cavs win.  If they don't, they won't.

  8. I feel like there's no way that Lebron's magical postseason ends prematurely.  The basketball gods just can't let it happen.  I know that Celtics fans would disagree and the Lebron-haters who suck at life (we all know who you people are - yeah, I said it - "you people") would also disagree, but watching Lebron do basketball has been an absolute privilege this postseason.  Never in a million years would MJ or KD or Kareem would have been able to do with this supporting cast.  Lebron's performance this post-season just reinforces the MVP as somewhat of a sham award that will this year be given to the latest fake MVP, who shit the bed in Game 5 of his series and whose teammates had to drag his ass across the finish line.

On the other hand, I feel there's no way that the Cavs can go into TD Gardens in a Game 7 and come out with a win.  The supporting cast just isn't good enough, even if Love were available.

  9. Lue was confounded by Semi Ojeleye.

    @DefPenHoops

Ty Lue says the absence of Semi Ojeleye tonight messed up the playing time for his matchup, Kyle Korver. https://t.co/vLvIf7xFjf
Yaya Dubin @JADubin5

Ojeleye had played 12 total minutes when the score was within 10 points one way or the other over the first four games of the series. If this is for real why Korver didn't play it is absolute hot nonsense. https://t.co/MMu2BldC7i
