My brother has an airedale.  Very smart and very active dog.  They’ve done zero training.

Eli is perfectly crate trained.  Sleeps in there all night and doesn’t make a peep.  We forgot to close the crate door the night before last and he stayed in the crate all night and waited for his release command in the morning to exit the crate.

We are pretty diligent with training with Monroe. Airedales are very smart and can be stubborn, if you don't train them when they are young you are bound for trouble

airedale?  I wanted a welsh terrier for a while, and have always liked Airedales.  I think I'll probably end up with something like a standard poodle next, but I love dogs like that (and the giant schnauzer too).

Yes an airedale, 4.5 months old now. Great dogs, barely shed.

This is my 3rd on my own, my family has had a total of 6.

I saw that a few years back in Key Largo, but haven't seen it in a while. I think it would also only be an issue if you were to spend time on Big Pine with the key deer.

it could be a seasonal thing too. It wasn’t there in June or January but last summer I took my boat down so I wouldn’t know if it a summer issue

  4. Just found this thread. I am in Key West at least twice a year, I live about 4.5 hours away. Here are my random thoughts/suggestions:

    • if you like driving, aren't in a rush the drive down the overseas highway is nice (once) some great restaurants along the way I would recommend the Square Grouper at MM 25
    • if you want to do the drive, fly into MIA or FLL, rent a car there and leave it in key west and fly out of key west. You do not need a car on the island and the drive back sucks
    • the ferry from Fort Myers is a good way to go, takes about 3.5-4 hours, during season you can also catch a ferry out of Marco Island. If you go down on a holiday weekend there are often strippers on the boat heading down
    • strip clubs are hit and miss there, the main ones are Red Garter, bare assets and Teasers
    • I stay at the Hyatt Centric on Front, mainly because I have tons of points that makes it cheap but there are a wide range of places to stay, if you want to hit Duval I would stay in old town, it may be a little more expensive but you will save on cabs
    • great breakfast places - two friends, breakfast club too, moon dog cafe
    • if you are a diver the Vandenberg is a great dive, I use southpoint divers
    • lunch and dinner I usually just eat at the bar I am currently in, but Hogfish is good - it is actually on Stock Island
    • you can do the normal bars Sloppy Joes, Irish Kevins, Captain Tony's etc - tons of good entertainers
    • if you are a microbrew fan, waterfront brewing is pretty good, decent food as well
    • if you need to kill some time during the day away from the bar and do not want to go out on the water, the Key west cemetery is pretty cool - there are more dead people on the island than living people
    • if you are hungover, IVs in the keys is awesome, takes about 45 minutes, re-hydrates you and gets rid of 90% of your hangover
    • Jet ski tour of the island is a good way to see it from the water
    • If you can get a table outside on the rail at Amigos at night the food is meh,  but it is entertaining to watch the drunk people try and throw a quarter in the Grouper's mouth at Captain Tonys
    • If there is a decent concert at the Ampitheater, it is a great venue, built last year - I saw slightly stoopid, matisyahu and tribal seeds there in June. only draw back was there was not a lot of shade from the sun
    • They say the only way to get arrested in Key West is to be an asshole or hassle the chickens

  5. Watched over the weekend, Oklahoma tattoo cop is just a plain dick. It seems every stop he makes is confrontational. He is the common denominator.

I laughed when he had to let the lady go because he did not have probable cause and there was no K9 avaialble. Not saying she was innocent but he was a complete ass to her,

  6. I heard on a pod cast that:

they claim they don't need waivers because they are reporting "live news".

There is a minimum 20 minute delay and the sheriff has last say on what airs

When they say earlier in some city, it may actually be from a previous day, which is why sometimes faces are blurred because it is no longer news.

Regardless, great show to kill time.

Opie, there were two episodes last night, so the speed bump has already been resolved. Won’t spoil it here for you.

Thanks Vito, will need to check my DVR, I just assumed it was done after the hour

Did Mizzou415 make it over to the new site? Because he didn’t believe in “producer manipulation,” but I’m calling “producer manipulation “ on a non-elimination let happening just two legs after another. Powers that be didn’t want the Reilly Sisters going home. Then Janelle was a massive dumbfuck in Africa.

As soon as I saw it was Rachel and sister last I knew it would be a non elimination leg. Next week the speed bump will likely be an easy one to keep them in.

A snail goes in to a car dealership.

Salesman asks, “What can I do for you, sir?”

Snail replies, “I want your fastest sports car with a custom paint job.”

“Well, I’m sure we can make that happen for you. What kind of paint job are you looking for?”

“I want fire engine red, with iridescent S’s painted all around. One on each door, the roof, the rear bumper, and a great big S on the hood.”

“I like your style”, says the salesman. So, he has the showroom floor car taken to the paint shop for the unique paint job.

When the car is finished, the snail slides behind the wheel, hammers down on the gas pedal, and tears off in a cloud of burnt rubber.

Paint shop guy asks, “what the hell was that all about?”

Salesman replies, “Dunno... but look at that S car go!”
