  1. Great points. Ill bow out of discussion. We should just do the level-headed thing instead. Boycott Christmas.
  2. 100% agree. Exactly the same.
  3. Not everyone should have disposable income. Many people should not. Should work like a bankruptcy case. If you want to take taxpayer money from Government (loan payoffs, welfare, etc...), disclose to the government your financial situation. A trustee/receiver should approve all of your spending requests until you no longer need government $$. No more Starbucks, alcohol, cigarettes, entertainment, hair dos, etc....
  4. What does the nationality say on the Passport? Colombian?
  5. How many people were for and against the correct height?
  6. Looks like this is heating up..... https://www.ktsa.com/texas-trial-lawyer-to-represent-camp-mystic-in-lawsuits-after-deadly-flood/ A well-known Texas trial lawyer is stepping up to represent a Hill Country camp facing lawsuits after a deadly flood on the Fourth of July. In a Tuesday statement, Mikal Watts announced he will be defending Camp Mystic pro bono. “As a result of the investigation, I have agreed to represent the Eastland family and Camp Mystic for free. It is the right thing to do,” said Watts. While some are not happy the camp plans to re-open, Watts has decided the tragedy was caused by the absence of an early flood-warning siren system, which left campers and staff without critical notice in the middle of the night. The July flooding event is considered historic by many experts, and when all was said and done 27 campers and counselors had been killed. Watts is known for leading landmark cases against big pharma, major automakers, and large corporations. He says taking the Camp Mystic case is not just about winning, but but doing what is right for Texas families.
  7. Brentwood, St Austin, St Louis, etc…. For K-8 grade is around $11k. They give away hundreds a of thousands in scholarships (which gets a lot easier when $10k is already covered). You really should go check it out. Adding… they won’t give scholarship money to the rich white kids, so you can rest easy.
  8. That’s fine. This thread, and my comments, are regarding Austin ISD School Consolidation. You want to talk about vouchers for Brownfield, go start a thread. Other states? Austin is a city. Austin has Montessori, charter, magnet, public, private, home, all-girl, etc….school options. Pick your preference.
  9. Wait, AISD is consolidating schools out in Midland and Alpine? I had no idea of their reach. There are many options in Austin for education and the voucher program will make that more accessible for more people. St Andrews is just 1 school.
  10. Really unfortunate that St Andrews is the only private school in Austin. And I’m sure they don’t offer scholarships. Sad state of affairs.
  11. There are only a few things sacred enough to override your personification (football, Christian man...). When your child gets sexually preyed on, its over. No one gets let off the hook for that. Prove me wrong.
