I think he's going to take the complete opposite position he had with the California fires.
Mr. President, what about the funds provided by Obama and Biden that were turned down??
What a nasty question. Look, none of that would have helped. We are talking about a 500 year. Maybe never flood. Who are you with? MSDNC? Just horrible

Trump is scheduled to be at camp mystic today. What's the over/under on him praising himself, Noem, and bashing the evil Dems. I also guarantee that he will state that no one could foresee this disaster.
Just now, HenryJames said:Yeah this shit, smiling thumbs up with the orphaned baby after the El Paso shooting. Blaming Dems. It's gonna be a shit show and people aren't going to like it

When the fuck are these large scale raids going to start in Dallas, Austin and Houston? When are they going to start busting farms in Texas? Fuck this shit, spread the wealth

So apparently an important item in the special session is state redistricting
5 hours ago, Evil Bill Obrien said:Yeah not thrilled with that, especially since I've been sitting here with my dick in my hand and no Congressional representation for months in CD18 (thanks hot wheels). Silver lining to this redistricting push from Trump that I have read from several sources is that Texas is pretty much maximally gerrymandered as is, and in order to push it further you will be taking from the safer republican seats and creating an environment where they are more competitive. Could be a bad gambit where in a worst-case scenario for R's they will lose previously safe seats in addition to not gaining any new ones. Here's hoping that's what comes to pass and this whole thing blows up in Trumps face...

Looking ahead, they are going to draw some ridiculous bullshit. It will get challenged in court, but the SC will affirm whatever is drawn up.
Read somewhere that many Texas Reps are actually not in favor of this, because there are grumblings that if Texas does this, then blue states will start pulling the same shit, and they have a lot more to work with. Take it for what it's worth, since that would require Dems taking the gloves off

Thanks for starting this. Awhile back I was between Dungeon Crawler Carl and Spells, Swords and Sheath by Drew Hayes. I ultimately went with SSS by Hayes and I raced through it. It was basically as you describe DCC. They seem like very similar series, but this rec has convinced me to try Dungeon Crawler Carl now
Here's a link to Spells Swords and Sheath if anyone is interested in it

I believe the worst of the Medicare cuts don't phase in until after the 2026 election. GOP is really good at being shitty

Great opportunity to post this RtJ number...
"Hungry for truth but you got screwed and drank the Kool-Aid, there's a line
It end directly at the edge of a mass grave, that's their design
Funny fact about a cage, they're never built for just one group
So when that cage is done with them and you're still poor, it come for you
The newest lowest on the totem, well golly gee, you have been used
You helped to fuel the death machine that down the line will kill you too (oops)"
Also includes one my favorite lines of the past few years...
"Never forget in the story of Jesus, the hero was killed by the state"
RTJ always gets a rep

Yeah, I couldn't get through Insomnia. Of all the connected books, I'd say the most important one is Salem's Lot. Hearts in Atlantis is okay, but it's really just the first book that has any relevance and you'd be fine skipping it. I mean, the Stand is obviously important, but people should read that one just because.
11/22/63 is my favorite, but read IT first, then chase with 11/22/63. It's a great way to spend a few months. The audio books for each of these titles are exceptional.
Wait, no. I agree with most of this, Insomnia was rough, Salem's is most important, 11/22/63 was incredible and definitely has to be read after IT....
Hearts in Atlantis was phenomenal, especially the first part, and it delivers in the Dark Tower series. We all agree that King is best when writing about childhood, and that's Hearts
