  1. They both returned to the game after they left with injuries, right?
  2. was talking about the last drive. seemed like a soft zone from what is saw, but since I couldn't watch it on YTTV I couldn't rewind
  3. enough with the same soft zone over and over and over and over when teams are trying to make comebacks. opposing offenses literally just hit seams until the defense overplays it then they hit sidelines and deep passes. pk mix it up a bit sheesh
  4. what is this crap officiating? and we need taaffe back badly to minimize these constant miscommunications and misalignments that keep happening
  5. @Hank_Hill@MuellerHorn@Dahobbsafter thinking about it, I'd like to offer an honest apology to y'all and anyone else bothered by my posts. I tend to post a lot of sarcastic and troll comments that I mean no offense by, because I've never taken places like this very seriously. But that doesn't make it right, nor make it non-offensive. Truth is even though I know a lot of others don't take it very seriously either, some (not necessary any of you in particular) may, and I never know the effect it could have on one of them. Just recently my best friend growing up committed suicide. He battled schizophrenia and some of the seemingly most random insignificant things affected him more deeply than I ever imagined. I'd hate to ever unknowingly affect another person in such a way, even over the internet with people I'll probably never know personally. I'm sure some will not accept this and will continue to think the lowest of me, which is fine. But I just wanted to do better and give a legit apology.
  6. unlike you im here simply for fun and some occasional longhorn chat when im bored with work, not for reputation lol imagine someone getting so tilted they threaten people with negs. calm down already. im not gonna bog this thread down any further with this stupid back and forth. I apologize to others for having already done so thus far.
  7. Yes I'm aware, I've been lurking for years. There are many who post that crap 100% serious too. It's not hard to see who those are.
  8. rofl there's literally a thread titled "caldwell should start" full of people both crapping on arch and trying to convince themselves and others the team would be better off benching arch for caldwell, yet people claim there's supposedly nothing "wild" about caldwell predictions lolololol I don't think you're wrong at all. I just understand peoples apprehension a bit.
  9. They are definitely over ranked, but still a solid squad. They have earned their overranking so far. And yes Texas is by far more talented. But they haven't yet earned confidence in anyone that they can play up to that talent level.
  10. But he has two great passes! One of them he went through progressions! And EXPERIENCE!!! He must be better than Arch! Jokes aside, I hope he plays well and Texas gets the win. And if he has a bad game? All good, because I can see he's a QB given unfair expectations, with very little experience and is simply trying his best. Kinda like the starting QB.
  11. Wasn't talking about you specifically. And yes people absolutely have been saying such things. It takes about 10 seconds of reading through the Arch thread and basically any other platform where people are talking about the Longhorns. Stop being so sensitive.
  12. Also for people claiming Caldwell has so much more experience than Arch, even that's kinda limited in truth. In terms of total CFB experience sure, since he spent time in FCS. But in FBS, Arch actually has almost 100 more pass attempts, and numerous starts against SEC opponents, compared to Caldwell's 2 (albeit very successful) attempts. Again, doesn't mean Caldwell can't have equal or more success than Arch, just that it's a ridiculous measure to use to claim Caldwell will absolutely be superior to Arch.
  13. So it's based on one play made by Caldwell, and assuming that it's going to be better than Arch because Arch has flaws. Got it!
  14. Oh so we know nothing? Exactly my point. Thanks!
  15. Simmer down. Stop taking things so seriously. And you didn't even answer the football related question. Nice job.
  16. Was about to post this exact thing. He senses breakdowns well. I can't imagine what Quinn would look like with this OL.
  17. Based on? Not saying it's impossible for Caldwell to do that, but people keep stating this as a fact. What is it based on?
  18. Oh so your only point was to say that one of the passes may not have been his first read? Nice job, thanks for pointing that out! Great sleuthing, no need to get so mad tho, not that serious. So do you feel Caldwell > Arch on going through progressions? Since you know, that was the conversation at hand. And now you proved there is only one play that serves as "evidence" of that.
  19. Yes, I got corrected that we went from two plays of proof, that it was actually only one. So basically people who think Caldwell > Arch are literally twice as stupid as I thought, and are mad about it. Congrats!
  20. lol imagine taking one play as evidence that one football players is unquestionably superior to another football player in a specific area, then getting bitter over being called out over it
  21. Oh well that changes things! Now instead of using two plays as proof he is superior at progressions then arch, we merely have one play!
  22. What makes you think that about Caldwell? Two passes where Sark called basic one read quick action pass plays? I'm not saying it's impossible for Caldwell to do well, but for people to act like we have some legitimate proof that he processes plays better than Arch is absurd. It's literally two plays.
