I believe I have now joined Team Frank Out. If you're going to sit back and counter, why put Bergvall on the wing?

  • Author

I'm really starting to get there too.

He just seems to not put this team in a defensive structure that does much for them. The defense has regressed a lot since last year and given Ange's track record on that side of the ball - I didn't think it was possible.

That's as clear of a penalty as you will see. He trips VdV. And the trip looks like it's caused by VdV being hit from behind.

WTF is this announcer taking about?

WTF?

  • Author

Like many people these days, I don't know what a foul is anymore. VdV clearly pushed that guy in the box.

Viccario is done. Man, WTF is that goal? Just garbage.

Sack him

I watched on delay all the up until semenyos goal. And was like fuck this. Fast forward to the end

No way Thomas loses to a team that hasn’t won a game since October….

I think that's it for both Frank and Viccario. Viccario had already stated he was interested in Serie A, but he might not leave until the summer window.

Team Frank out. I wanted to give him a chance but this is horrendous

Hearing Kudus not returning until after the March international break. I'm sure we'll use the funds from the BJ sale to find a suitable reinforcement (sarcasm).

The scenes post match yesterday with the away supporters and Porro and Van de Ven were ugly.

I don't recall a bleaker time at the club in the 20 years I've followed them.

Let me clarify, the confrontation with the travelling Spurs supporters away at Bournemouth. Not a good look.

Cuti came out and called out the leadership at the club. Apparently, Frank and others had a conversation about that with him today.

I mean, ok. But really—what’s the fucking point? We have gone through what? Two managers every season for like three years in a row now?

Sure. Let’s fire Frank. And while we’re at it, let’s rearrange some more deck chairs.

So this has been flying around social today from before the game ...

Frank smiles at the Vitality Stadium, holding a small black espresso cup with Arsenal's logo on it

Sackable photo.

Thought it was AI when I first saw it circulating the timeline yesterday. But nope. It’s real.

No it's not. It's just stupid and gives teams/fans (the real people to hate) fodder for jokes.

I don't think anyone is saying there aren't bigger team issues that need to be addressed. And that includes big churn at the HC post.

I think the real question is do you see Thomas as a coach that will get results with Spurs? Watching how he is playing out there - I really don't anymore. It's kind of like Postecoglou, at some point he just failed the eye test. Yes, he got a major trophy, but his style had no long term sustainability, certainly not in a league where you are playing teams again and again and they see you a lot.

I guess a second big question is what have injuries and some big roster losses really meant for him as a coach? Think about it:
Son - transfer
Maddison - long term injury
Kulusevski - long term injury
Solanke - long term injury
I gotta say this team would be far better with 2 of those 3 back.

Make no mistake - I do not like the idea of moving him mid-season because it really doesn't look like the team has a long term goal/vision. Ideally he hangs on, avoids relegation and then we part ways come the off-season.

Well, it is with regret and no small amount of angst that I agree that avoiding relegation has to be Priority 1 at this point. We don’t want to have The Best Goddamned Stadium In Championship.

But that is where we are as a club. A Big Six hoping just to avoid relegation.

This club needs major organizational overhaul.

I thought getting Levy out was the start but this club has seemingly been plagued with injuries for years and years. Being this far down in the table with ANY manager is ridiculous.

  • Author

The overhaul has started. This goes back to the question from a few pages back, is Frank the man for Venkatesham? Does he have trust that Frank is the guy that takes this team back to the top?
