  1. Well, first the Earth cooled and then the dinosaurs came.
  2. I had to remove me rep as I premature repped you before I read about your dislike of mushrooms. Mushrooms in all forms are delicious!
  3. He wouldn't hold out the entire year. He would hold out as long as he needed to get the year credit and then pull a hammy in the first game.
  4. Funny that has Chicago in it as I am listening to my second show tonight. Thirty years ago tonight I was at my second show.
  5. He probably would have held out if they weren’t going to extend him. I doubt he goes anywhere with just one year left.
  6. I've been on Shaggy/Surly for 15 years and I had never seen that.
  7. I'm right here with y'all. Cheers!
  8. After a long week on the road was made longer by rain delays, it's nice to have a drink, vape hit, and listen to some Grateful Dead! This show has the Althea and Walking Blues from Without a Net. I think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3gaA4r_07Q
  9. The CFS at Alamo Cafe used to be terrific. Of course, that was 30 years ago. I have no idea if it still is.
  10. More context behind the “LNG” pause and why it isn’t about the environment. https://www.forbes.com/sites/daneberhart/2024/03/04/the-hidden-qatar-backed-influencer-pushing-the-american-lng-pause/amp/
  11. Here is the forecast rainfall amounts for the next several days.
  12. Let me restate…violence against non violent offenders.
  13. Wouldn’t it be implied that if you are willing to grant freedoms to a violent criminal that you are more tolerant of that offender than someone unwilling to grant that freedom? I’ve already said I support prison reform. I’ve been on record on this site and Shaggy that if I were king, all prison sentences for drug possession would immediately be commuted and records expunged. I stated I’m skeptical that rehab would really work for the truly violent.
  14. Thank you for your condescension. It’s always appreciated. I guess it boils down to trusting rehabilitation efforts on someone that has proven to be violent previously. Admittedly, I don’t know anyone that has been to prison for a violent crime and been paroled, so I have no personal experience to base my feelings on. I’ll also admit to not having researched any studies on rehabilitation success for violent criminals. I’ll just say at the very least I skeptical. Now, back to Epstein Island.
  15. You mean outside the walls or inside?
  16. I just don’t have the tolerance for violence that some here seem to have. I’ll admit that my view may be skewed by the news reports of crimes that have multiple violent offenders as the perpetrator. I have absolutely no issue addressing some sort of prison reform to allow for non-violent offenders (read drug offenders) to not be imprisoned so we have more room to store the violent people.
  17. Well, I haven’t been to the wine thread but imo probably just means “in my opinion”.
  18. Maybe if some of the people in prison had abstained from rape and violence when they were free they wouldn’t be subjected to the cruelty of our prisons. Fuck any violent offender. I don’t give a shit how cruel their prison is.
  19. This is the perfect post for this thread…imo.
  20. As both a Cowboys and Texans fan, I have to say that I am infinitely more excited about the Texans than I have been about the Cowboys for a very very long time. I don’t even open that thread anymore. I can’t wait for September!!
  21. Got back into town a little earlier than usual so I hit up Luke for Happy Hour. I have to say that I was a little disappointed given the hype Luke has gotten. I think tomorrow will be Jaque IMO’s.
  22. At least Dak will finally win something.
