I guess you think the majority of college fb coaches harbor serial pedophiles

I think the majority of Penn State fans demonstrated that they're okay with it.  And the majority of Nebraska fans were just fine having a serial woman abuser playing for them.  And a majority of OU fans were super cool with having criminals play for them.  And on and on and on.  This analogy isn't going to turn out well.

American Christians have a pretty shittastic tradition, all things considered ("Christian" beliefs and preaching were some of the cornerstone arguments in support of slavery, anti-miscegenation laws, Jim Crow, denying women the right to vote, etc. etc.).  Now that enough Americans are educated just enough to see the shitbaggery.....they're doing what any decent person would do...

But no worries.  The people who wear the label the proudest are carrying the banner of American Christian Shitbaggery proudly through this 21st century.

    Pussies.

I'm definitely at the "I wish a muthafucka would" stage with these cowardly pieces of shit.  Fucking BRING IT.

You know there are 10s of millions of Christians not only not committing those acts, but actively putting food in people’s bellies, clothes on their backs, roofs over their heads, visiting them in their sick rooms and on their deathbeds, comforting the grieving, correct? And not doing these things in a showy or public fashion.  And doing it regardless of the political stance, religious beliefs (or nonbeliefs), race, gender, or sexual orientation of the people in need. Some of those doing so are posters on this forum who share your political views

So kindly fuck off with that bullshit. In Jesus name.

Cool.  They both come at me wearing crosses.  How am I supposed to distinguish between the ones who want to feed us vs. the ones who want to subject my gay family members to brutal conversion therapy?

I am and have been quite involved in Christian faith communities and efforts for a long time.  Still am, actually.  But I gotta tell ya....I fucking loathe "Christians."  The American brand is unquestionably more devoted to hate, cruelty, lies, fraud, and suffering than it is with, you know, the GOSPEL.  American Christianity is dying.  And the cause of death will absolutely be suicide.

Guy in the bottom middle went to the retirement home early and is neck deep in pussy.

Guy on the top right manages to work in, at EVERY single family gathering, his opinion that "I've got nothing against the coloreds, I just wish they'd stick to their own kind," making his niece Becky and her husband Jamaal uncomfortable EVERY.  FUCKING.  TIME.  But does anyone else in the family tell him to cut it out?  No, they just mumble that "arguing with him only makes it worse, just hide the Seagrams so maybe he'll sober up and behave better."

What I love most about this story is that every single one of those chucklefucks looks EXACTLY like you'd expect them to.

And, to a person, the Venn diagram of those chucklefucks and "people that no waiter EVER wants sat in their section" is a single circle.  For example, bottom row, second from left, is well known in Michigan restaurant circles for her tendency to ostentatiously say grace before the meal, then as she opens her eyes from prayer, she looks at her glass of water with a lemon wedge, and then yells at the waiter "I SAID LEMON SLICE, NOT LEMON WEDGE, YOU IDIOT!", supporting the plan she'd had all along to leave under $1 as her tip.

Looks like you’re painting white Christians with broad brush strokes. There are shitty white people and good white people.

"Oh...I didn't mean YOU, Billy Pilgrim....you're one of the GOOD ones."  Ever heard phrasing like that?  I sure as shit have, 'cept it hasn't ever been in reference to a white person.

And of course, nowhere in my post did I say that ALL white people feel that way (I specifically referred to a loud and insane racist movement....not "all white people").  But pretty close to all people who DO feel that way are "white Christians."  Venn diagrams, how do they work?

Juxtaposed to a situation with me last weekend.   Have a neighbor that moved in last year to the house where our back fences meet.  Finally actually met him last weekend and we helped each other cut down a tree limb that was breaking both of our fences.

He moved here from LA.   One of the things he mentioned is the “newsy” stereotypes of TX.    Then he mentioned how in the first months here he saw how many mixed families there were.  Black/white.   Black/Hispanic.   Asian/white.   Asian/black. Etc.

Said it’s sad how some stigmas are just treated as gospel when the realities aren’t such.  That he’d never seen, in 20 years living in LA, the percentage of interracial couples as he’s see. In 1 year in TX.

anecdotal of course, but I know that doesn’t matter for shit here a lot of the time.

I'm gonna suggest to you that how interracial we are, and how many openly interracial couples we have, is precisely WHY we have a loud and insane racist movement.  All those times those good, Christian white folks have to go to the Wal-Mart, and the Raising Canes, and Academy for a new folding chair, and they see some pretty, nice white girl defiling herself and her Christian purity with a colored boy, or they hear the family at the next table talking in that dirty spanish (TALK AMERICAN!), it makes the rage simmer until it boils over.

Well, they aren't faced with such evil when they live in AllWhite-istan.  So, they don't get mad, because all is right in the world.  Every couple at Raising Canes is white, and ain't nobody talking nuthin' but good English.  Whew.  Calms the nerves just typing about that utopia.

Texas has a problem with insane, angry white people precisely BECAUSE we have so many minorities, and mixed race couples, friend groups, etc.  That shit just ain't right, and lord, does it piss them off.

Not to alarm you, but if you're insinuating I'm not happy because I have to think about my race consciously and subconsciously in everyday life and you do not, then you're just further making the claim as to why white privilege is real and Critical Race Theory is an actual thing. You do know that right?

You're talking to the kind of people who genuinely think/believe that when driving past a cop, the average black person's asshole doesn't pucker any tighter than the average white person's asshole.  They live in a fantasy land where while people don't have it easier, and black people have nothing to worry about.

    The DOJ is being weaponized!

I mean.....if you messaged every MAGAt you know this factually accurate messsage: "The Biden DOJ just appointed a special counsel to investigate one of the president's sons!"....they would flip the hell out, and scream about the weaponized DOJ, because they see everything as relating to Trump.  When you told them "actually, it's to investigate Biden," you'll actually be able to see the little hamster wheel in their head screech to a stop.

    Awful.

We are fine. I assume those sleeping in the airport were unable to find a hotel. We've been in an Airbnb in Kihei the past two nights. The host worked with me, very compassionate. Family is on a noon flight, I am on a 2 pm. Not expecting any hiccups but who knows. The resort says they will pack up our things and ship them to us at no cost when it is safe to go back and they have power. Got some cash for my wife and I was able to add my Amex on her phone to Google Pay.

You're rolling with the flow, man.  Good on ya.  Good learning experience for your kids in adaptability, resilience, and compassion.  Glad y'all are all safe.
