I used to like Cuban Americans but apparently they came out scrong for trump last election therefore they suck. Not sure about the actual Cubans position on trump so I’ll have to defer on the protests for the time being.

This quiet part said out loud includes more information content than any other post in this thread.

I'm just stopping by to say I'm betting BT has uttered the phrase ! Viva la revolucion ! death to the protesters, and has made sure everyone knows he proudly wears his 'Che shirt (in multiple colors) aboot a 1,000x by now.  Peace out !

How sad are you that yet another astroturfed CIA plot in Latin America has failed?

My guess is: Very

Nah, what's sad is you think the people of that nation like being held in destitute, life long, systemic poverty by a mafioso capo regime.  What's more,  you revel in the fact that they're being controlled by a mafioso capo regime, and you think that's true socialism at work.  That you would even think it's sad that their mafioso capo regime would be overturned is more than sad, it's downright fucked up.  That kind of makes you a sadist.

What's the street value of a Che shirt... in crimson ?  I dare to whisper tye dyed crimson, but that's a unicorn reserved for the party faithul members only.

I do?

I support self-determination for every people of every nation, whatever that might be. If they want to be communist, they can be communist. If they want to be capitalist, they can be capitalist.

I vehemently oppose interventionism and imperialism.

You oppose the intervention of the regime controlling the citizens by anyone... including the citizens.  I welcome their overturn by just about any means necessary.

When did I ever express opposition to the protests?

(you will not answer this)

Sure I will. All you've done is talk about the CIA, and imperialist USA being the cause of their suffering (certainly not the present post Fidel regime), and the backer of this protest. You have not even the slightest desire for it to be successful, and if it is you'll simply say it's all the USAs FAULT the the regime was overturned... it had nothing to do with a nations 50 years of pent up frustration with a regime that is exactly what the soviet politburo was, a mafioso capo regime.

You've basically laughed this off in most posts as nothing to see here, and it's the USA/CIA behind all of it.

What would it mean for this protest to be "successful"? Seriously, answer that question honestly.

"Successful" for YOU or for actual Cubans or for what you imagine actual Cubans think/believe?

I have no idea what the masses of Cubans want. I do not pretend to know. I can see evidence with my eyes that they don't have a lot of desire to overthrow their government. Also, I see the Western media desperately trying to make it seem extremely huge when it clearly never was. I have also seen decades and decades of this exact behavior.

So I do what people should do: I mind MY business first. I look at what MY nation does before I start pretending to know what other nations need. You're the neighbor who can't stop peeking through her venetian blinds while her daughter gets railed upstairs and son skins squirrels in the back

Successful in that they overthrow an authoritarian, mafioso regime, and maybe have a chance at actual self governance. That is anathema to you however.

What they want is a life where they can actually feed their families, and maybe prosper. If you don't know they don't have that now you're IQ must be sub Forrest Gump.  If you actually had seen decades, and decades of this behavior you'd know why they're protesting now. So I'm just gonna call BS on your alleged decades, and decades of experience with this kind of protest, and its root causes.

Again. I'll give you top dollar for a Che shirt in the right color of course

What if many/most of them don't see their government as "an authoritarian, mafioso regime"?

Sure, I'm not sure what this means, though, in terms of our conversation.

Are you saying that they believe that if they overthrew their current government they would have more opportunity and prosperity?

Not even gonna debate this with you because you're just being willfully ignorant of the 60 year failed experiment, and the cascade of data, books, interviews, etc. that's come out of the country documenting the average citizens negative, and exasperated feelings about their gov't.

"I'm not even going to argue, I'm just going to hand wave towards a bunch of shit that I believe exists but don't know but I will no longer be talking because I am just saying shit I wish was true and can back none of it up."

How many poor brown people across the world have died because of dumbfuck American jingoists who refuse to take even 30 seconds to scrutinize the propaganda they've deepthroated their entire lives without question?

You have nothing but a desire to have more poor brown people die in bullshit wars. Fuck off.
