It's normal for suburb kids too, they just aren't getting stopped and frisked all the time Slorch. When I got to Texas the white kids were the ones partying the hardest and doing the most drugs. I didn't know kids did cocaine and pills until then. It opened my eyes to a lot of things, but of course in your world those things aren't going on right Slorch?

Absolutely.  Affluent suburban kids have opportunities to really fuck up.  And they'll have more opportunities to fix their lives than poor kids.  Those opportunities don't come out of a vacuum.  It can take generations, or one really luck generation, to get to that point.

If you're a single parent your over riding goal should to give your kid(s) the chance to have a life with more opportunity than you may have had.  And teach them to pass along the same ethic.

Change doesn't happen in a decade.  It takes generations.

Thinking about upgrading to the Google pixel XL from a galaxy S7. What was the final verdict with the pixel?

I have pixel 2 xl and love it EXCEPT in the 8.1 update the proximity sensor is fucked.  About half the time if I'm making a call (doesn't happen using bluetooth) and I pull phone from ear to access anything on the phone the screen remains dark.  Last I saw google should have a fix in a matter of months.

  3. So we're gonna win all our games!!!

Seriously, with the health of our 1st 2 quarterbacks and wanting to keep the freshman's redshirts intact would love to see more RPO and less qb runs.  When Sam inevitably gets hurt the quick, short pass seems to be Shane's strength.

I mean, six inches isn't huge, but it's far from small. I think it's actually above the national average (something like 5.5" I think, last time I happened to see any numbers).

Boyfriend tell ya that?   Surly average is like 11.5.

I went to Maui with my wife and parents in December. It was my first time. We stayed at the Hyatt Residences which was top notch. The concierge was very helpful with reservations and planning.

Paia Fish Market in Lahaina was a great casual spot.

Mama's Fish House is totally worth the price. I agree with others that it's the best place to splurge. Merriman's was also very solid, but I'd go with Mama's if I had to choose between the two.

The Road to Hana is cool and it's a full day. We used the app tour guide which was clutch. I loved the black sand beach at Waianapanapa State Park. We went all the way to the Seven Sacred Pools. In hindsight, I would have headed back after Hamoa Beach. Thank God our Expedition got a flat the first day we were there. They gave us an Explorer which was tight on the Road to Hana but an Expedition would have been terrible.

We did a whale watching tour with open bar (solid). We also did the helicopter tour of Molokai the same day we flew out. I HIGHLY recommend that.

Other than that we went with the flow mostly. The beach right outside your hotel is great so don't forget to reserve a day or two for vegging out. My wife and I are big golfers so our favorite days were playing Kapalua Plantation and Wailea Emerald courses.

Have fun! I enjoyed Hawaii even more than I thought I would.

Get a jeep.  Go topless to Hana.  Drive slow and get out of the way of the locals.  Next time we go we're staying in Hana.

  6. 250 is obscene for a wine suitcase.  I think we may have paid 125 for ours.  Napa lives on shipping wine. The only pain in the ass is having ups deliver with a 21+ year old to sign.  But you can also have routed to walgreens - at least where I live.  Last count we're members of 5 or six little wineries.  Customer service is exceptional for all of them.
