  1. Once again, only their commits and even potential commits are solid. Everyone else’s are still listening to aggy and likely visiting at some unknown time, but their guys “shut it down” when they commit.

Even though they’ve already had at least 2 decommits in the class. Who, coincidentally, are still considering aggy.

  2. The dream is dead. Guy took his off the market when the truck he wanted got sold. I had such a good deal, too.  He was asking what would have been trade in value.  Finding a similar one will cost me at least 5k.

I saw the kid at a 7-11 in Allen 5 years ago and i was too slow on the draw with the phone as he was standing at the door on the way out next to the colored ruler used by the staff to guess the height of robbers.   With a close fro and thick hightops he scraped 5'10".  Scraped.  Barely.  I think he's 5'9".

You think they bring ASTM in to place that ruler tape precisely?

in 2000 i  started sunday one shot back in my club championship.  i made birdie on 17 to take a one shot lead.  last hole was a par 5. i knock it on in two.  the guy who is one back is in my group. he hit it in the shit, chipped out and then missed the green. he now  has a 20 footer far par. i have a 20 footer for eagle.

he makes and i 4 putt.

    i lost the playoff.

I’ve never broken 100, and usually stop counting around the turn and just try to make shots.  So I never have to worry about issues like this. There’s very little pressure in ineptitude.

The sucky teams of Incaviglia, O’Brian, Harrah, Mahorcic, Hough, Correa, Williams, McDowell, Fletcher, Buechele, Slought, and Guzman were far more fun to watch than today’s scrubs, though, that could just be a result of pre-cycnicism Knox.

You left out designated hitter larryyyyyyyyyyyyyy parrish

I've read here (shaggy) that the aggies roster was shit and that they'd only win five games for the past three offseasons, yet they still win 8 every year. Maybe that will be the case this year and I will laugh hysterically if it is, but the broken record has skipped too many times for me to wholeheartedly agree with it..

Same here. There have been so many bad teams on their schedule the past few years. This year may be different with Clemson being good, plus maybe a better arky squad and uk getting better last year with lots of returning starters.

I do think it’s safe to presume they will underperform their fans’ expectations.  So we got that going for us, which is nice.

  7. I’d take new braunfels over San Marcos I think.  Wimberly would be ok as long as you are just outside of town. My folks were in between wimberly and blanco for a while, and had to drive 15 minutes just to get to the limited things those towns provided.

  8. Hi, welcome to rangers fandom.  Questionable trade outcomes and poor drafting, mixed with the occasional international signing all star, like I said before.

But at this point, mazara is no Juan Gonzalez.

Yep.  I’ve been somewhat out of the loop having just moved back from TN.  About 5 years ago, I could have sworn the Rangers were not only good, but had a Top 2 or 3 farm system ranking (prospects).
in the immortal words of Will Ferrel, “WHAT THE F HAPPENED?!?!”

We went all in. Especially in 2016 with the Lucroy and Beltran trade. Also just dumb trades starting in 2012 with Dempster and then Garza in 2013. Our farm system slowly started to deplete. And the guys we did bring up the were not as advertised. Especially the pitchers. Who is the last home grown pitcher we've had worth a damn?

    Kenny Rogers or Kevin brown

Yeah they are.  Most of the ones Ive been in destroyed their small town feel by centering commerce around the nearest highway exit. You don't see that in Europe. A 1000 person town in France will have a bar, bakery, and butcher you can walk to. Don't really need anything else.

Colorado has some good small towns though.

I don’t have an interstate within 90 miles.  Town economy is driven by Yellowstone tourism between memorial and labor days.

  11. Oh, bought a little 17 foot camper today. Pulled it home with the Acadia, but don’t want to be using that to haul it around, so that’s why I’m half ton shopping.
