Apple debuted these today.  The mic sends it to an iPhone.  AI translates it and sends it back to the AirPods.

The active nose cancellation also reduces the speaker's voice level so you hear the translation better.  I found that detail pretty cool.  And when you speak you show the other person your phone screen and it translates what you're saying I to their language.

Update for those that provided advice. After another few days of no responses and not being able to reach anyone on the main claim line, I filed a complaint with the TDI. They responded within a day, saying that because it was not my insurance company, they could not investigate or intervene. However, they did forward my complaint to the insurance company, including my request for TDI to investigate them for bad faith practices.

That must have gotten their attention because an assessor was at my house within a day, and the settlement check was fedex'd to me two days later. Unfortunately, they are scumbags and low balled everything in the settlement summary. While I understand that it's up to the repair shop to work the parts and labor costs, I began to get concerned I wouldn't be able to get the proper payment from them to get a quality repair done.  So, I rejected the payment and filed with my insurance.

This whole situation is making me realize that the auto insurance industry is an absolute scam. They operate in a way to basically force you to file with your own insurance, even when it isn't your fault, so that they can all constantly raise rates for "reasons". I also got a sense I was about one person out of a hundred that even tries to not file with their own insurance when it's someone else's fault.  It's almost impossible.  Eff'em.

Does it matter that you didn't get your carrier involved?  Because when you go to renew they ask if you've been involved in any accidents in the previous x years regardless of fault.  So wouldn't they find out then anyway?

Not a Cowboys fan. I have no dog in this fight.

But your post was the entire problem with the drive. They played like the goal was to give the ball back to Philly ASAP and then get the ball back as quickly as possible. They had 3 minutes and 3 time outs, and ran 7 straight passes in hurry up offense.  Just stupid strategy.

I don't mind the hurry up, it prevents them from subbing.  Four straight passes in a row when we've been running it well bothers me.

But they didn't do it because they were preserving clock otherwise they would have snapped it before the 2 min warning. Schottenheimer mishandled that.

@Js1 or others just as informed. I haven't been able to watch either match thus far, but obviously they went well.

Are y'all able to give a rundown on the biggest differences in terms of offensive/defensive strategy, or anything else notable, so far this season vs. last?

    1.) We're passing well.

2.) Our defense, especially our blocking, is much improved. Our backrow defense is also better.

Texas passed a 2.33, but Creighton passed a 2.44 and got swept. We didn’t serve aggressively at all, with only a few errors, and Creighton had a ton of first ball side out kills. But they also hit a ton of balls long and gave us free points.

With who we have on the block I prefer the more conservative approach to serving.  Side outs on service errors grind my gears.

  6. We shop every year for home and auto renewal. We switched this May to a bundled plan with Geico. We've been with Geico before for auto but their home coverage is new to us. Well we've had to file two claims on the hone since May.  We knew Geico didn't actually underwrite their home policies and that they contracted out to Homesite, but I didn't know that Homesite also turned around and contracted out to another company called American Family Insurance.

AFI has been horrible.  Every part of their business other than their adjusters is contracted out. As a result there are multiple layers of approval or bureaucracy to go through for everything you need to do.  Get a contractor out for a rebuild estimate? AFICS has to send a work order out to a group of contractors on your city. Reimbursement? AFICS sends your receipts to another group who goes through them and approves or denies your reimbursement. Book accommodations? Got a wait for another company to call you to set it up for you.  It's a waste of time and I'm convinced it's designed that way to wear you down so you don't fight them.

There are lots of horror stories on Reddit regarding Homesite.  Geico uses them as their home policies unit.  So does Progressive. Star far away.
