  1. I'm considering not paying my bills this month, and blowing it on hookers and blow. I did that for Ebola, and it didn't work out very well. Maybe I should hold off another month.
  2. Makes you question all of the supposedly previously infected who are now listed as "Recovered".
  3. Once you have the infection, it could remain dormant and with minimal symptoms, and then you can get an exacerbation if it finds its way into the lungs,” said Philip Tierno Jr., professor of microbiology and pathology at NYU School of Medicine, according to the news organization. The virus can reportedly spread without symptoms showing up, which forces officials to play catch up and makes it far more difficult to manage. Health officials analyzed the implications of a patient testing positive after having an initial recovery. Second positive tests have been reported in China. “I’m not certain that this is not bi-phasic, like anthrax,” Tierno Jr. said in regards to the disease being able to go away before reappearing. https://www.foxnews.com/health/coronavirus-infects-woman-in-japan-for-the-second-time-a-first-in-the-country
  4. I just want to say if true, this may very well be the apocalypse. That truly would be some biblical shit if the Pope gets taken out.
  5. SIAP So, the Pope may have Coronavirus... https://time.com/5791543/pope-francis-cancels-slight-illness/
  6. Austin Coronavirus Free For All Ordinance. Shall I vote Yay or Nay? I can't decide.
  7. Viral Overlords will be my band name in the post-apocolyptic wasteland.
  8. How long y'all think we have until we see what's occuring in Italy and Korea here in the US? And what will be the ramifications?
  9. Yuuuuuge! This and 290 through Oak Hill should've started 20 or 30 years ago. But it looks like they're both finally gonna happen! Better late than never!
  10. Um maybe. I don't know what's going on with China, but unless a miracle has occurred I do not believe those numbers at all. I had been watching their numbers on BNO and the cases, particularly outside Hubei, have changed little if at all for a week or more. Bejing and Shanghai both shot up to over 300 cases, and then no new cases? Seems unlikely.
  11. Yep, I heard you could become infected again after "recovery". I also heard it seems worse the second time. Quite concerning.
  12. Wonderful. You know, if we luck out and this shit fizzles before too much damage is done, I hope some lessons will have been learned at least. If it turns out not so bad, we will be very fortunate because it seems like things should've been handled much differently.
  13. “Rumours about a virus began to circulate in November but no one took them seriously,” said one member, a 28-year-old kindergarten teacher. Damn, I hope this broad didn't infect a bunch of kids.
  14. I'm surprised to hear this. I got attacked in a discord earlier for saying I found it worrying. People by and large still don't seemed phased. Maybe the CDC announcement has turned the light bulbs on for some. Nope. I sent a link to someone earlier regarding the CDC statement, and mentioned I was going to the store to stock up on nonperishables and whatnot. The response? "What's this? That virus in China?"
  15. It's pretty much instantaneous. Go to Academy, pick your firearm, they do a check, if you're not a felon/on a terrorist watchlist/wear a wife beater you're out the door in just a few minutes.
  16. It's concerning to me that the CDC is saying get ready, because this is probably going to get bad while our president is majorly downplaying the situation, and letting everyone know it's no biggie and is under control. WTF?
  17. Let's just hope this doesn't infect 1/3 of the world's population, and kill 50 million like the Spanish Flu did before it becomes less lethal.
  18. Yep, and hopefully it really is all just a big overreaction. But everyday this seems to be getting worse. Everyday it seems to becoming clearer that this is not like anything we've seen for the last 100 years. I pray it really is just being overhyped, but it is not difficult to fathom this being a global catastrophe in the making. Not apocalyptic, but something people will be reading about in history books.
  19. The issue seems to be roughly 20% of cases being serious enough to require hospitalization. If there are 100 million infected, and 20 million need to be in the hospital there will be issues.
  20. If there aren't already cases in Austin by then, SXSW is when it will occur.
  21. Has China just stopped updating their numbers? It seems like their numbers haven't changed recently.
  22. [ALEX]Problem, Reaction, Solution. They have to let it get bad enough here so the NWO can declare Martial Law. America, destroyed by design![JONES]
  23. I hope so, too. But isn't pretty much accepted as fact now this is much more serious than the common flu? The flu has like a .01% kill rate. Only 1-2% of flu cases require hospitalization. Maybe things change, but it seems this virus is 100x more deadly thus far. That's assuming a 1% mortality rate. It also requires vastly more hospitalizations. If this isn't contained, it will be catastrophic. I mentioned it before, but I recommend everyone read up on the Spanish Flu to see what has happened before.
