Congrats to them on their zero (or 0.5) Big XII championships in that time period.
They got beat by two scores against a team breaking in a new QB just like them. Oregon State put up more points on Ohio State than them.
Maybe TCU beats Texas because our coaching staff is flawed, but I don't need to suck their dick the week leading up to it.
Glad I didn't praise them leading up to this.

Sam moved up in the pocket! Wow. Love this team.

O-line has looked good in the run and the pass. Team looks like it's growing.

The people who complain about the tone of orange might consider that they probably started hating the "new" hue around the same time HD TVs came out.
Or maybe it's the Mandella Effect.

Sucks. I don't think he was playing in a good spot though. Tulsa got a TD last week almost solely because Roach wasn't quick enough to move in from the flats.
I hope he gets healthy and changes position next year. -

You should be more annoyed they they’ve been far and away the best football program in Texas for nearly a decade now.

I get it if you want to say we're going to get killed because of our coaching staff. But the TCU worship in this thread is annoying.

Why would they pick the LJH TD throw as "best throw" instead of the Moore TD throw?
Cuz Moore was overthrown and made a diving grab when he was open.

I feel like we were owed this after the long reign of Gideon and Haines.

Can people quit saying that a 20 year old should still be in high school?

When I'm reading what you write and not looking directly at the avatar, I keep thinking it looks like Gretzky from the mullet era.

North Texas has definitely looked well coached the past couple years.

Serious question re: Titus Swen. On his HUDL page, the pinned highlight is titled "2016 Junior Year Highlights." It was uploaded on February 22, 2017. So if he was a Junior in 2016, how is he a Senior in 2018? I initially thought he was a JUCO kid, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like it was just a typo - he meant Sophomore" - but I wasn't sure and wanted to see if anyone knew. I'm just a little leery of recruiting kids that are a year older than everyone else because they're more likely to be maxed out, but it looks like Swen is the age he's supposed to be.
In any case, he definitely does run nasty. In his more recent highlights, he also looks a lot bigger than the 191 pounds he has listed. I wouldn't mind seeing them circle back to him either.
I'm not. I did hear from an opposing coach that he was suspended the first half of the game, so that fits the mold of a held-back kid. Could be why he's only a 3 star.
Dude is definitely bigger than junior film. Legit carried 6 defenders for 10 yards on one play.

I don't know if Herman gets hair plugs or uses something like Propecia, but maybe he can use one of those as an excuse to the incompetence. He's definitely using something. Dude was balder last year.
-
Was watching film and came across Titus Swen from Eaton. Currently a 3 star with offers from the SMU type schools. This dude looks like the most physical runner I've seen in the DFW area in a while. Brewer couldn't tackle him with 5 guys.
Dude should get late offers and if we miss on Cain, I wouldn't be disappointed with him.

I do really like Ingram. 6+ yards a carry and has the shiftiness to make our line look better than it actually is. I didn't expect him to be this good.
Sterns and Foster look good too. We're getting more from freshmen than we are our senior class. Hager, Omenihu, etc are the most disappointing part of this team.
The offense looks like it should be competent. The pieces are there. It just falls apart, and Beck is terrible whenever we have bad field position.-

There are a lot of high school DCs around the state who are copying Orlando's defense, and for good reason. But when I see those teams face a school that goes under center and uses sweeps or lineman the way Maryland did, they adjust their front.
Orlando never adjusted his front and I think it was cocky. If your defense is built to slow down Oklahoma, you still have to adjust to your non conference opponents. We kind of care about those games here.
-
We're getting gashed outside consistently and it'd be nice if we could adjust away from the 4i for a moment.
-
These blitzes are terrible and they just keep coming. We're handing them 10-15 yard completions at will.

Are you a FSSW sideline reporter? What was the score?
35-14. Just saw that Catalon got hurt though.

I realize Jenks is really good, but how does Legacy get their ass beat that badly with that many D1 players?
-
Rondale kind of proving that just because you go to 200 games to evaluate players doesn't mean you have any clue what to look for.
"He didn't produce in those games." Genius EJ.

I've never liked their colors or seen a design that makes them look close to decent.
That might be the one school that could improve things by trying to Oregon it up or move away from their colors.

The Pats have the best coach in football, and they struggle early almost every season. College football is less forgiving than the NFL, but just because you struggle early in the year doesn't mean you aren't a strong football mind.
Texas improved throughout the year last season, and they improved throughout games. Every week Texas is taking less time to adjust to their opponent.
Gotta finish the season strong, but some good signs.
