  1. Comes down to mutual aid agreements , plus what you have going on in your district or municipality at the time.
  2. The CG Rescue Swimmer sounds like a team player...👏
  3. Neighbor guys and gals from around the state (especially Martindale and Mabry/ABIA) doing good things...
  4. She was luckily found on that first morning. Unfortunately tomorrow morning will be the reaching of the 72hr/ 3day mark, survivability drops off after that. Most likely won't be made "official" tomorrow, but rescue ops will soon be changing to recovery. Sucks. 😢
  5. The pic you are talking about and those two girls in the Blackhawk were picked up on Saturday... not today.
  6. There is LIVE coverage on Youtube right now from KSAT12 (also another channel from WOAI) , reporting from Seguin now but also covering the hill country.
  7. Live news conference on Youtube right now...27 deceased found so far
  8. I was part of the Wimberley group, and my wife and I went other days as well. Best thing to do is just show up. You can either sign up and be put somewhere or just go help folks on your own. Long Lines and organization can be haphazard so we went out on our own and found an older couple (in their 70-80's ) and helped them all day. Not why we did it but we got an invite to their 4th party a few months later.
  9. It's still a rescue situation and not yet a recovery op. Known victims would be gotten to first with a quick, deliberate flights. What you described above are active search patterns. Finding adults (even harder kids) in brush or trees in flood waters takes time and slow, deliberate, repetitive flight paths.
  10. Reports of blackhawks ( and if so, no doubt the TXTF1 birds out of Austin and SA) along with Travis County STARFlight and TX DPS. Pretty sure this is one of the DPS birds hoisting below...(lower left corner video)
  11. Watched Top Gun Maverick again this afternoon and noticed that Admiral "Iceman" Kasansky's wife was also Uncle Buck's niece Tia Russell,... Jean Louisa Kelly.
  12. Those games did mean more. There was no interleague play back then and free agency hadn't taken full effect yet. players played the same team (or almost) for the entirety of their career. Switching leagues was also not common. The ALL Star game really pitted the best of each league and it was important to show which league ( at least for a night ) had the better players and format ( no DH in NL).... The National League DOMINATED the 60's-'87, losing only 4 games in that span and a streak of 11 straight from '72-82.
  13. Kind of grainy but both of those throws are in the video/ X post in my reply above. Funny how guys thought they could run on Parker. His arm is right up there or above with Clemente, Bo, and Ichiro. Rifleman. RIP Cobra
  14. Went down there this past week to visit the daughter before her and her family move back to Cancun. Great visit with some awesome food and sightseeing the Zocalo, halls of Montezuma, and a sunrise over the pyramids. IMG_3100.m4v
  15. No doubt, she's had that happen before.
  16. Past history. Sean Allen is the pitching coach there.
  17. saw that late last night...
  18. I think it went off his right shoulder or shoulder blade by the way the way it bounced so hard and far away.
  19. Fucking stupid. DVH blew that one.
