Hope Hicks has a new job. It seems New York Knicks owner and huge Trump donor James Dolan used facial recognition technology to identify people who were critical of him, people like lawyers working on cases against him, and have them ejected from events at Madison Square Garden. Amid the PR fallout, he hired Hicks to “advise” him.

    Someone say Dolan?

My doctor gave me the choice of pooping in the box or the full colonoscopy. I chose the box for the first go around due to low history in my family and other factors. That'll buy me a couple of years. Haven't heard back on the box, yet.

Negative results. Good to go for three years. I'll do the "gold standard" next time so I don't have to worry about it for ten years.

I admire your back-country spirit.  And sometimes I do wish I never got rid of my F-150.  but two questions:

    1.  Do all 6 of you sleep in that small tent?

    2.  Was the F-150 able to traverse the aggressive topographical undulation I see there in the background?

    1. No - we had the camp trailer for that that we sold. Kids are all older now and that was a trip with BILs. We were shooting and my nephew's dog got scared and clawed holes in my tent to try to get away. I now have a new tent lol.

    2. We really going cross country. Out of the picture is a dirt trail.

A couple more pics from the same trip.

  5. I bought a 2016 F-150 super cab with the 6.5 bed brand new. It basically replaced our Expedition as a tow vehicle for our camp trailer. It just hit 70k miles and I can't see ever getting rid of it. I commute in the winter in it and park it in the summer except for hauling or camping. We don't have the trailer anymore. We have 4 kids and travel out of state to visit family, so that worked great for us. I do hate using it as a commuter as it is big and sucks to park. I ride a motorcycle in the summer so that helps. Someone on the first page, got a GTI for running around which is what I am interested, but kind hard to justify other than I don't like parking the truck at the grocery store.

  6. *Accountant nerd* It's a gift from you so I don't have to declare shit to the IRS or government and then I do what I want.

*Accountant nerd part 2* There is that cash deposit form to complete if I were to deposit it in a bank. I wouldn't care about filling it out. Or I'd open a whole bunch of bank accounts.

  7. Generally speaking, assets transfer from the deceased to beneficiaries tax-free as noted above. The thing I tell people to watch out for are things like IRAs or 401ks that have not yet been taxed. Those will be taxable to the recipient. They usually have designated beneficiaries similar to life insurance and pass to the beneficiaries outside the authority of a will.

From your description, it sounds like you are good.

  8. Idaho lawmaker teaches guns and feminism

Figured this was a good place as any.

    Gun book:

    Quote

The description for the book reads: “In this super fun book for kids, we’ll walk you through how awesome the AR-15 is, how it can be used for good, and why the Gun Grabbing Lefties should focus on something more productive.”

    Feminism book:

    Quote

The book also states that feminists believe a secret group called the patriarchy is lurking around every corner and that they believe there are no differences between women and men. In the book, Lenney writes that feminism hasn’t been needed in the U.S. since women were granted the right to vote “a loooooooong time ago.”

But since gaining that right in 1920, women have fought for equal pay, fought against discrimination on the basis of sex in the workplace, fought for equal education opportunity through Title IX, worked for the passage of the Violence Against Women Act, and gained the right to open a bank account.

In addition to talking about how women can be police officers, astronauts, and engineers, the book mentions how there’s nothing more awesome than coming home to a delicious dinner, how some women like making sandwiches and that there have been lots of women in the White House — “America has had over 45 First Ladies.”

Our neighbor thought this would be a good Halloween decoration in the front yard for some reason. Keep in mind, we are not on acreage or anything. Just a cookie cutter neighborhood. Used said decoration to burn a bunch of junk. The Google car also decided it was a good time to come through and update our street view. So street view has our neighbor burning shit in the burn barrel with a bunch of crazy-ass Halloween decorations.
