Why would anyone want a paper / printed ticket option?  Does anyone really miss leaving the tix on the counter at home, in the parked car, etc.?  Are there that many Army Brats out there?

I am fine with the mobile ticketing.  It's just that I have never had season tickets to anything in my life.  I remember the first year I bought season tickets to Texas Football. I went out to the mailbox and discovered that large envelope with the spiral notebook of tickets that weren't printed on a Dot Matrix printer and had actual pictures of players. I think you could still forward the bar code to a mobile device.

  2. Lastly, CDC was asked about bringing back paper ticket / printed tickets for season tickets holders;  He said that they had checked and couldn't find a vendor for printed tickets.  I find that very hard to believe as a quick search on the world wide internets shows many vendors but okay.

Where are you located?  I have a Tejas smoker that I refurbed, has sat out a bit exposed to the elements, and could benefit from some TLC with a grinder and a fresh coat of paint.  If you are interested in a project that might require a little elbow grease but will land you in a better place than that 1/8th steel nonsense, PM me.

  4. I am in the market for a cheap stick burner.  I was looking at the Old Country Pecos / Wrangler at Academy.  Then I saw that Char Griller has upped their game a bit with the Grand Champ Offset smoker at Home Depot.

Do any of you have any thoughts / opinions on either of these?  I know there is better to be had but the better ones are not in my budget.

Speaking of Hurtado, had a soft opening today at the new Little Elm location.  It is next to Hula Hut.  We got the El Hefe plus an extra 1/2 lb of Brisket and Ribs.  This was outstanding.  Will definitely be going back.

And just like that....................RIP Hurtado BBQ in Little Elm.  Arlington and Fort Worth will continue to operate.

I appreciate the response and I do stream when I can, however, this was just pointing out that Texas doesn't have a radio presence in DFW.  They have had their games on local radio in DFW since I moved here in 1993.

I sometimes have to go radio when I'm driving.  I can usually find in Houston.

    it's supposed to:

    Dallas KBDT 1160 AM

Yeah, that station changed hands about a year ago and is now Radio Saigon / Vietnamese language radio.  I just received a response from Learfield and they confirmed that DFW does not have a station that broadcasts Texas men's basketball.

  8. I realize that broadcast over the air radio is not at the top of everyone's list with streaming and satellite radio.  However, I have been searching for over a month now trying to locate the radio affiliate in the DFW area that carries men's basketball.  It has been a bit unusual for the last several years in that football and basketball were on different stations.  I have emailed Learfield communications and it appears that not a single radio station in the DFW area carries the men's basketball broadcast.

I am surprised that an area of the size of DFW doesn't have the games on local radio.

If this weren’t the Cowboys, I’d say that teams that dominate but let the opponent hang around often end up regretting it. That said, I’d really love a TD here for all the 13-7 halftime “we’re rolling now” vibes.

All the MO is on our side now.  LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!
