Gordo not a fan of people recording and sharing his streams:

Mike’s vibe the whole time was essentially, “I love you Gordo, you’re my hero and you deserve all the good things you have, but fuck you.”

Ah! My bad. Blue shed Jeff is Jeff Piotrowski I believe. Not Jeff Mangum.

I've been going to South by San Jose for a few years. I rarely recognize any of the bands, but they usually have a few solid performers each day, and I still enjoy the South Congress vibe during SXSW, especially if the weather cooperates.
I'll probably only make the Friday show next week. Houdmouth is playing. I've seen them a couple times and they're pretty good.
Steve Gunn, also playing Friday, is the real deal.

What’s his Surly handle?

Probably wouldn’t be interested but wonder if the Horn have or would think about reaching out to Tyler Coe. Dude was the original surly/shaggy-esque character at the station before BK made it up.

Horns down by Cincy fan is awesome! Love it!

lol Ian is so dug in on Card.
Sark could evaluate Card and Thompson in nothing but practice scenarios for 80 months and still land on Card, but the thing about all that is there's no way to simulate and then know how a QB will respond to the type of environment he faced on Saturday until he actually does. Hall of Fame practice player, and all that...

I guess GG fucked McCarthy's wife or something to have gotten shafted in favor of Rush and Will fucking Grier.
I'll be standing by waiting to hear that we're bringing in Paxton Lynch this afternoon.

Sometimes I wonder if there’s a more chilling truth and that a lot more people have experienced it than we’re aware of and just figure it’s a fact of life so just suck it up and deal with it.

It doesn't excuse Bo, but it does make sense he might've been a victim himself.
If you are hit with a hardship (of any kind) and your way to make it through the subsequent struggle was to "toughen up" and "play through the pain", then you'd probably dole that advice out to others you see going through the same experience you did.

The criminal thing with this video is the coaches knew exactly what was about to happen to that smaller kid. They can deny it, but they knew what they were setting up.

RIP. Some very early memories of my parents watching the LD miniseries when it came out back in the day. Didn't think too much about McMurtry again until being re-exposed to him in Don Graham's (also RIP) excellent Southwest Lit class at UT.

He and the lady Professor were friends and was there to share his novel with her classes. This was a Thursday class so it ran an hour and a half, I stuck around for the next class because the few chapters he read wasn't enough. He did allow for questions afterwards and was engaging with the students, this was all in a classroom that fit no more than 30 students in Flowers Hall. One of the better 3 hour learning blocks in young Al's undergraduate education.
Speaking of SWT, there used to be a really cool collection of Lonesome Dove set pieces, scripts, and other random collectibles on display on the top floor of the library as of about 6-7 years ago. No idea if it's still there or not but seem to think it was a permanent collection.

Texas SUUUUCKS!!! Enjoy that L, baby! Entitled d-bags thinking you own the world. Go ahead and drop millions to fire this coach and hire another one, too. Hahahahahahah
Y’all are hot garbage. Thanks for my entertainment for the night!
Guy's probably just butt hurt about a couple of walk-ons that fucked his girlfriend back in '97 or something I'm guessing.

Anyone have any advice on sprinkler backflow preventer/lines/valves for this upcoming freeze?
Bump.
Was wondering the same thing myself. My backflow preventer is in the ground (appears to be a double check assembly) and this is different from 99% of any youtube sprinkler winterization advice/instructions.

Last time I played it Chance Mock was the default UT starter so obviously the VY sub-in was always a must. Also oddly enough Little Vick was basically a cheat code that year for VT.

Looking really briefly at Keontay's Twitter comments to his announcement and I'm reminded how the type of people who hate on or talk shit directly to an amateur athlete through social media are just an entire special breed of bitch ass cunt.

True Detective Season 2
in Movies and TV

I think this was my impression as well. I was entertained enough to finish the whole season but remember the plot being unnecessarily complicated and there being too many sub-plot loose ends. It was like the writer/creator was feeling himself a little too much based on s1 and so s2 came out as overly complex and beaten down with esoteric bullshit.
