Like so many of his talented teammates before him, Texas A&M receiver Evan Stewart has entered the portal. Of course this has the Texas internet abuzz. Correspondingly, our phones have been abuzz.
The other day I mentioned in the Transfer Portal thread that Texas wouldn't pursue him if he entered the portal. I said similar in the Moderator Only thread in the minutes after Stewart was announced in the portal. As I continued investigating I learned players in the locker room, including Johntay Cook, would have no issue with Stewart being pursued or joining the team. That made me pause for a moment and consider that if they're doing that homework then the staff may have legitimate interest. However, my latest intel is on par with my initial intel. I don't think Texas will pursue.
That doesn't mean things can't change, but as of now, I just don't see Stewart in burnt orange when it's all said and done.
In addition, Justin has heard Stewart could end up remaining in College Station. That's now called the Bisontis, after freshman O-lineman Chase Bisontis withdrew his name from the portal earlier tonight.
I believe Texas will take another wide receiver via portal and/or potentially the high school ranks if the right player becomes available or reciprocates.- 1

Their 100-year decision was followed by a decade mistake which they somehow made much worse.

This is why @Mitch Cumsteen is my favorite classy Texas poaster. My problem with what I’ve seen here is that you guys are so fucking arrogant, you take my confidence for trolling because you don’t think there’s any chance lowly Washington could beat mighty Texas. I get it, you didn’t have Bijan last year. News flash, you won’t have him this year either.

You feel that way because we have seen this fuck job before. Texas checked off all the required to do things but the selection committee will find some lame reasoning for not picking them that they will repeat over and over while being unable to logically defend. They already showed this when they ranked Oregon over Texas based on “eye test” despite all metrics favoring Texas. Hope I’m wrong but they already showed their propensity to see only what they want.
Then surely they leave FSU out with this line of reasoning??

Can someone make a plausable argument as to how the fuck we get in over an SEC champion and/or undefeated ACC champion? I’ll hang up and listen but Jesus this committee won’t do us any favors

1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. FSU
4. Texas
That Michigan matchup is mighty tasty to me.

This gnashing of teeth over Oregon is going to seem so silly after Louisville and Georgia win.
