Fuck yes! This is a kickstarter I will happily give a generous helping hand. Never understand why this guy hasn’t been more cited for his undeniable influence on post punk guitar playing. It’s about damned time this story was told.

real talk...based on your experience soviet sub hunting, do soviet captains do crazy ivans to the starboard in the bottom half of the hour?
If you’re in a tight spot and need a break, it’s a 50/50 chance.

Before I joined the U.S. submarine force to go do sneaky shit on SSNs, I was in the SOSUS/IUSS world hunting and tracking Soviet submarines. Clancy came to one of our facilities and gave a talk like this, but centered around our world. Super cool and smart guy, even hung out afterward to bullshit with us and sign our books. Very entertaining book and movie, with some laughable liberties taken. Nothing as egregious as Crimson Tide, though.

I still vividly remember the day, 45 years ago, when I checked the mail and received the manilla envelope containing my Dr. Pepper Junior Texas Rangers membership - a certificate, iron on patches with Rangers and Dr. Pepper logos, two white sweat bands with Rangers logo, and signed pictures of Jim Sundberg and Toby Harrah. Then the crush of 2010 and 2011. I thought the window for a title in my lifetime was likely closed. What an incredible team, and so thrilled to see it finally happen for the Texas Rangers! Our World Series Champions.

This will surely garner him a five hour JRE “interview.”

Looking a little better now. That would be a shame to lose the lead because of a cramp. He’s got this.

Still playing down to lesser competition. Not a championship team in this half. Second half will show who Texas is

Texas looks very mechanical. Hope something fires them up

Yeah, that was coming. Despite the circus sideshow atmosphere surrounding mergers and sponsorship changes, it will be cool to see Roglic get to go against Ving, Pogi, Remco, and Ayuso. Also curious to see if Kuss will stick with the new iteration of TJV (Visma-Soudal, Amazon-Visma?), or if he will join Roglic if the opportunity presents itself.

It makes absolutely no sense for Jumbo from any angle I can see
A head scratcher for sure if it is anything more than speculation. It’s not like they will have problems finding another primary sponsor after the Jumbo deal expires.

Just read that a few minutes ago and figured someone would post it over here. What a terrifying prospect for the rest of the UCI World Tours teams. A cycling Death Star.

No TDs allowed for the last six quarters. Make it seven!

Has that magazine ever been about anything else?
No kidding. Surely this is only “news” outside of the music fanatic community.

Getting a little teary eyed here...
No kidding. What a dream come true for Kuss and cycling fans who have been in awe of his selfless service for years. Listening to Geraint Thomas speak on this really helped reinforce that this was not a gifted win and that Sepp ride with a strength that elevated him from domestique level to a legitimate GC champion.

Well timed move and impressive acceleration from Wout. Just enough juice to hold off Remco. Kuss safely inside 3km. We can exhale now.

So far so good for Kuss. The race for the stage should get more interesting when attacks start to go from the breakaway and selections are made. I’m sure Rui Costa will take some long pulls in the front to help their cause.

GC Kuss
Great to hear! Hated to have to miss the stage today. Can’t wait to watch how it went down later.

To be honest, I felt Jonas actually gifted him a bit much today. He just sat in on Primoz and didn't help, then didn't come around for the bonus seconds.
I would say that Roglic and Jonas don't want each other to win way more than anything else.
Same. I was surprised when they were passing 3K to go and Jonas hadn’t attacked. You’re probably right that Roglic and Jonas would rather see Kuss win than each other. If Roglic takes time on Jonas, then we could have a really ugly fight within the team. While Sepp has worked hard for Jonas in the Tour, it’s no secret that he’s Team Primoz. Or it could all be a big nothing burger and they’ll be satisfied with taking all three spots on the podium.
