JS needs to send a messenger pigeon to mac o grady !

He's been needing to make some major changes for awhile. I have stated this since the Open that he won. Something needs to happen before he goes the way of Duval.

Yeah, they are handles. Was hoping to get a good trade for 2-3 of the bottles, but everyone is offering me crap. Some guy was trying to sell me on Russel's Single Barrel, but that can be found on the shelf. Bunch of assholes on those facebook groups, just looking to take advantage of noobs.

Anyone happen to know what I should charge for a bottle of Col. EHT Single Barrel?

$80.00 give or take $10. $80 to $150 if you post it. Someone is looking for it if they can't get it locally. Make sure the buyer pays for the shipping. You could lose your arse.

all of these are terrible.  armie hammer is hollywood’s biggest joke.  jon hamm is impossible to take seriously; he simply wouldn’t work.

    give me alexander skarsgard.

He could also bond with Robin.

But seriously, Lee Pace would kill it

Unfortunately, that is the going rate these days, unless you can win one and that can be expensive too. Not that long ago. You could see several of these collective dust on a shelf at your favorite liquor store.

i love peacock.  even with the emergence of mchugh out of the pen last year, i view bp as one of our more valuable bullpen weapons.  i was really just trying to anticipate what our front office/hinch are up to.

Fairly certain. Most likely not seeing 2017 Peacock again.

    hope I’m wrong.

For the record - Most reputable stores with strong relationships and decent volume do sell most of their stock at or fairly near MSRP.  It's the independent shops that get lucky and then put a crazy markup on a chase bottle because they may not see it again.

That's what Bert doesn't seem to understand. BT doesn't see a dime over wholesale. A retail store can't build volume on chasers. Their incentive is to tun the middle and bottom shelf over, and halo products in stock for good customers keep traffic high. Your very high end bourbon buyer might only buy one bottle of bourbon a month, but a bottle of midshelf gin or 4-6 bottles of wine every week.

This is the problem. Most of these stores don't exist any longer. Most are marking up to secondary pricing. Spent the last ten years building a couple of Specs relationships and over a year ago they told me all allocated items go into the main system now. My name was in the hundreds. I may get a bottle of Weller 12 in three years.

Thanks to a motivational talk from Brown Water. I went on a seek, buy and drink mission. I have had more luck in the last six months, than in the last 6 years. My buying limit is $299 and I'm a happy man.

I can’t hear you, I’ve got a $109 bottle of Stagg in my ear.

I have one for 109 and another for 299. They taste the same and would do all over again. Is 225 good for a 4 grain. I want to know how in the hell would turn that down. If you would. You are xoxoxixo liar.

edit: not you specific bozo, just in general. You da man

And is the small batch good?

Need to grab any Willett you can get right now (to drink) Not the pot still. Having a feeling most stores are going to be allocating it if they haven’t already.

    Edit: allocation sucks

tucker is in an ideal situation where he can hit near the bottom of the lineup and won't be heavily relied upon for offense.  hopefully we can give him an extended shot and see where he lands.

i know bregman is the recent example of slow starting, but i always think about phil nevin.  i remember hearing terry collins telling a story about nevin bitching about being sent down his rookie year.  he was like, "here nevin is, coming at me, bitching and moaning, and i'm like dude, you're hitting 80 (.080, but he said eighty)."  hopefully tucker ends up more like bregman and less like nevin (with the exception of his steroid breakout in sd).

I just hope he is still eligible for ROY. Because he going to win it. Close 2nd is Whitley. I don't think this will be far off.

    Bring it own.

    https://www.si.com/mlb/2019/02/06/mlb-players-union-discuss-rule-changes

Last month, Major League Baseball made a proposal to the players union suggesting a rule that required pitchers to face a minimum of three batters, reports The Athletic.

Also proposed was using a universal designated hitter.

Even if no deal is reached, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has the power to make rule changes. including the addition of a 20-second pitch clock and All-Star Game changes that would put a runner at second if the game is tied after the 10th inning.

According to the report, other proposals including expansion of rosters to 26 players, a lowering of the mound study, and bringing back the major league contract for two-sport athletes as an incentive to choose baseball.

The Associated Press has already reported that Major League Baseball has proposed a 15-day disabled list and increasing the time optioned players usually must spend in the minor leagues,

possible changes....the universal DH should be a no brain-er, it's time to stop playing two different sports

I really don't see a much of anything wrong with Baseball right now. Some people have to much time on there hands. FTOS.

    Have not cracked it yet.

Regarding Angels Envy finished Rye, I thought everyone loved it but $85 is $85.

That's the only downside, but if you're like me. After a few drinks, who gives a xoxo.

i know we got into this last year when ctj came on the thread to remind us how shitty yuli had been for a corner infielder - basically providing zero pop (injury related?) for a 1b, which is unacceptable (even when the rest of your infield is the best in mlb) - but having yuli hit 7th, instead of 4/5 is a huge difference.

still not sure where the best spot is for brantley.  i think you're correct that they hit him 5th, but his contact rate just seems like a 2-hole guy.  of course you could say that about bregs or altuve as well.  i guess that's what happens when you have a non-traditional leadoff guy.

hoping tucker pushes reddick out of the lineup, and possibly hits 9th.

There's more upside to Brantley to DH, with Tucker playing and Reddick hitting 9th. Let's role with this line-up for four or five weeks. This should help in keeping Brantley healthy.
