Playing the dynasty mode and recruiting your own guys is where I normally found the most fun in this game, so I don’t really get why some of you take a guy deciding to not opt in so personal. Most of those guys are gone by year 3-4 in that mode anyway.

Unpopular opinion, but to me dynasty is WAY more fun in years 4 & onward when your team is all CPU generated recruits or ones you created. I never cared or even wanted to play with “real” players.

I figured just about everybody else thought this way about the game too, which is why I was pissed when it went away since I didn't give a shit about having real players in the game back then, and I still don't. The players can do what they want, I'm just going to cut them in favor of my 6'9 recruits with 4.16 speed anyway.

I don't know how these work, but it seems like a bad idea to blow your budget in one year and not save any money for the next. OTOH, it might just be talk to drive donations.

I'm not sure a sooner is smart enough to manage money or manipulate a donor base. Those efforts would require at least a double digit IQ.

"Coach, why are you so confident that my son will receive a better education at Texas than tech?"

Looked like he was joking around, but he's been exposed to Tech edumucation now so it's hard to tell.

I worked at a store in the mall similar to Gadzooks for part of one summer and Christmas break. We sold those shirts, Oakleys, Raybans, No Fear gear, Mossimo and Stussey. At the fucking time, I was embarrassed when people bought the Big Johnson shirts. I was 17 and questioning their decision making.

I bought one No Fear t shirt. A rooster facing a cat, both sneering at each other and the cat was thinking “chicken” and the rooster was thinking “pussy”. I thought it was funny. Every single time I wore that shirt to class at Texas, a girl approached me about studying together. I wore it 3 times and was 3 for 3. The last girl stole the shirt from me.

Nah they were really in it for that 7.52 40 speed

Definitely a possibility.  Have to see who'd be dumb enough to trade up to 2 in this draft.  IMO, there seems to be some good mid-to-late round players, but not a lot of "wow" players this year.  Maybe Caleb, but he seems like a bit of diva, so there's that.

Well I think 3 or 4 of the guys you listed were acquired by teams trading up for them and they destroyed their drafts to do so, so I bet there'd be takers. There's always a GM floating around with a death wish.

Yeah, because we all know how accurate Mock drafts are.

You're free to do your own mocks, but I did mine as if I was the GM.  No way I'm taking Maye with #2.

I'd much rather build my team on the lines first and then move to the skill positions.  Washington's O-line is god awful and Alt has the pedigree and production to be a Top 5 pick, IMO.

I'd also never pick a WR 2nd.  As great as Calvin Johnson was, the Lions never won their division or even won a playoff game.

History is pretty clear, you don't take a QB #2 unless the team in front of you is stupid and picks a midget with the #1 pick (I'm looking at you Carolina).

Here's the list of QB's (aside from Stroud) taken 2nd over the past 20 years...I think you'll notice a trend.

    2021 - Zach Wilson

    2017 - Mitch Trubisky

    2016 - Carson Wentz

    2015 - Marcus Mariota

    2012 - RGIII

Frankly, Edge would probably be the best bet, but there aren't any worthy of taking that high.

    Trade down

i really really really want to know why they have him wearing what appears to be walmart branded A&M gear at every opportunity. it just looks so cheap.

also it looks like he is wearing dockers purchased at the same walmart. at least can someone get this guy, who is making a base salary of $7 million dollars, some kind of tech pants or the lululemon ABC pants that don't wrinkle at the first opportunity?

this guy is the coaching embodiment of Geoff Ketchum - "how shitty can i look at every opportunity?"

    Not sure if rhetorical.

If he did anything you suggested he wouldn't look as aggy.
