Catching up late on this story but I assume there must be seem damning info about this guys belief, if law enforcement is already using domestic terrorist terms.   Of course domestic terrorists have been the main terrorist threat we’ve faced over the last decade but most are unaware of that.

    Last decade?  Try again.

Helluva driving clinic by Pagenaud.  Man what a well-driven race.  Maybe the most deserving run I've seen in 30 years, those last 10 laps he rewrote the book on how to protect a lead.

Been saying it for years. Pagenaud is going to kill someone out there. Never been a fan

If you’re watching at home, here’s what I’d do: sync up your tv (muted) with the radio broadcast. It’s infinitely better than the tv guys. And my friend is the broadcaster in turn 3. Born and bred Indy and his passion (as well as all the radio commenters) carries over. They just do a fantastic job.

Not sure what that's supposed to mean. Paul and Townsend do a great job and have great driver knowledge.

  4. Did bran know the night King was after him? If so, he let thousands die for him.  Was Bran really a good guy? Or just a manipulator like Tyrion and Sansa?  Interesting how they are looked at as the victims, but ended up as the master manipulator the last two seasons.  So nothing changed.  Looking from the outside, that makes the night King look like the Good guy.

I only got through the first episode of this and it was a chore to do that.  The dialogue was so canned and forced, like they were reading.  And all that "we're so in the know" stuff just seemed so juvenile and cheap.  The "clever" lines like "Fun is for suckers. Staring down the barrel of my own mortality always beats fun" felt false and shallow - like they were straight out of a 16-year-old goth girl's notebook.

It takes a couple more episodes to even begin to get to the meat of the show.  Stuff is happening already that is not detectable without context.  Damn good sci fi if you ask me.  Really detailed.

Triple Frontier is pretty good. Nothing flashy. Seems like they left a lot out there because the cast has 4 heavy hitters and one journeyman actor.

I do get tired of movies painting veterans as victims. It seems like Hollywood is still stuck in the Vietnam era. Movies about warriors from other times and civilizations don't have this problem and can even portray a certain nobility. But modern warriors need to be damaged. It seems out of touch.

If you don't know the difference from Vietnam, forward in a contextual sense, I don't know what to tell you.

Almost everything that’s happened here has been pretty abstract to the typical American, with the abstraction helped along by certain organizations and individuals.  Even the Las Vegas shooting.  And it’s easy to be abstract for many, because dipshits on cell phones or drunk drivers kill many more people every year than all mass shootings combined.  Most of us will never know a victim of a mass shooting as well

With that said, Parkland raised the temperature a lot, because you had victims able to speak for themselves, unlike many past shootings, and they were social media-savvy.   Those previously-mentioned organizations and individuals even tried tangling with the Parklamd survivors, trying to downplay their stories or cast doubt on them   And it is still playing out, even now - witness the slowly-growing movement to replace the dipshit Matt Goetz who recently acted like an asshole to the victim’s dad during a Congressional hearing, and tried to change the topic to a fucking border wall.

Whether you view it as a draw, or one side or the other winning, the debate around Parkland grabbed the public’s attention in a way that previous shootings didn’t.

Now go watch the video that’s floating around.

Instead of Muslims being executed on the floor of their mosque, imagine the video is of little kids being executed in the halls of their school.

It’s going to happen   Nobody is addressing the mental health system in this country, and the access to firearms that the mentally ill still have, either through family members,or shoddy record-keeping, or broken communication between the relevant authorities and organizations   Even if the police had taken Trump’s advice and aggressively confiscated guns from at-risk nuts and worried about the courts later, it wouldn’t have slowed a lot of these people down.

Do I worry about my wife (she works in education) or my son who is in kindergarten at a public school?   Not really - some dipshit looking at their cell phone and blowing through a red light or a stop sign is still more of a threat.   Do I think the cops are going to show up at my door because I have a certain type of firearm?  No, we are a long way away from that point, and they don’t have the manpower anyways.

But I do think we are just a school shooting or two away from a massive sea-change (and I think women voters will help drive it).   And I think there is some truth to that whole “national emergency” business that Trump is getting up to - a Democrat will take advantage of it.

Because I remember the Assault Weapons Ban that was in place from 1994-2004 (I was one of those assholes who profited from it).  It was a 52-48 vote in the Senate, and it survived more than a few Constitutional challenges in the courts

Mental Health has become the new buzzword for this stuff.  Some of these people are simply delusional idiots.

Crazy is going to crazy, people trying make these things political are full of shit.  And yes save it for the cloakroom.   No party has any part of any of the shit like this it’s crazy people, this blaming any crime on a party because of their political stance is bs.   Everyone has different views but we don’t kill people for not liking our views.   If you ask me we need a third party now that thinks normal cause this shit has gone Way too right and left too the extreme of views on either side and all they care about is proving the other wrong now.

    sounds like excuses.

Everyplace says the nvidia shield is the best streaming box.  Not wanting to spend $150, I googled nvidia shild alternative.  Of the ones I saw, the Mecool M8S Pro L might be what I'm looking for.  Has wired ethernet and will take a USB external hard drive.

Any experience with Mecool products or ordering from Gearbest

The Shield costs more because it does a lot of things the others can't.  The gaming capabilities alone make it worth the money.

  10. To be honest that looks conceptual to me.  Nothing technical as to what it will look like inside.  I'd go so far as to say, outside of the main stand on the left, the rest of that is just a rendering of the Erwin Center they've jazzed up a little.  Same as with the South Endzone, its hard to get a good hold of what the actual shape will be because that company is just horribad at rendering interiors.

I can't remember Richardson or Pearce ever being worth a shit in football.  They were always nearly as inept as RL Turner or Newman Smith.

Early 90s Richardson Eagles was one of the teams that made me excited about playing football.  They made some deep playoff runs.

Zion is 4th best player on Duke after Barrett, Reddish and Jones.  He is awesome and fun, but a lot of what he is able to do, and will be able to do, will be because of those guys.

    (And yes, McConnell is in)

    No
