Religious bullshit aside, seek help, immediately. If what a bunch of young men do on a football field has that big of an impact on your life, you’re fucked.

On that same note, we are projecting our own moral and ethical platitudes onto the program to the point that it can't succeed in the arena that it plays in.  Not saying anything about Urban. More addressing the moral and ethical expectations of our fans vs what college football actually is.  We can win, but it's gonna be at the rate we've won the last 30 years when we find a coach that meets all of our criteria including being liked enough by the big donors enough to be morally a little more loose behind the scenes.  Not advocating we go full on dirtbag, rather saying, lower your expectations and the notion that we are a football school if you can't stomach actually playing the game some.

The fact that he had to go through all that work to get an egg then to watch them fuckers slice it open and eat it was funny. How the hell was that egg worth more than all the ship parts/equipment. But then the mini Yoda is in a egg shaped crib and you got to think who ever wants it probably won’t play nice with the mini Yoda. This could be foreshadowing, I dunno really. I saw it on one of the episode reviews via YouTube and thought it was intriguing.

I think the Jawas were punishing him for killing their peeps.  If he didn't die, they get some delicious furry egg. Win-win

  3. Franklin.  Consistent, hard missed team. Brats/plays too teams tough with less talent. Winning head coach from a P5,NFL  or bust. Anything else, and we aren't serious about football

    Bunch of fucking spoilers...

Just binged the entire thing last night. Not a big serial TV show guy so that was rare for me.

While the story gets maybe a little predictable or carried away at times, I think the pacing saves a lot of scenes that would otherwise leave a bad taste, and there are enough decent twists. (I mean the whole plot with "the boys" is just one dues ex after another, but they keep it interesting and avoid cliffhangers.)

The angle of tying a morally corrupt corporation to all of the world's superheros is well done. The marketing guys crack me up, Madeline is a perfect self-involved cunt executive, Homelander is a fantastic anti-hero - I think it raises a lot of good questions and ties into some interesting themes, especially with the reveal that none of the supes were born that way.

The scenes with the politicians seemed a little ham-handed to me. The blackmailing of the okie senator and the complete neutering of the secretary of defense both seemed a little too... easy? I'd tie it into @wild_turkey's point about the supes not being all that super. Seems like the US gov. would have more nuts and wouldn't let one corp push them around like that. Then again, we haven't really seen Homelander's power tested yet (or even Starlight's, really). The viewer also knows a lot more about their weaknesses than the general public might assume.

The Deep is perfect comic relief. I laughed out loud at the dolphin scene. Him being stuck in Ohio is great as well. The scene with the lobster, him shaving his head, him at the therapist's appointment, making the vodka smoothies - all deft comic breaks in the rest of the action. I definitely get a Rogen vibe from his story and the way they handle it on screen.

Looking forward to season 2. Curious to see what they do with Frenchie and the Asian girl's story especially.

Perhaps the most comfortable she they've ever made, IMO.  Yes, the styling is out there for us older folks, but nothing crazy.  React is a great tech also. More form than boost, but better over the length of a day.  Easy decision if they actually had my size

That one demonstration of forgiveness will go further to change any ingrained thoughts of hate more than 100 years in prison would.

Black people have been praying and forgiving our way to subjugation.  Hate to say that as a Christian, but while we forgive, the applicable reality has not followed not had it been reciprocated.  Can't even get people to acknowledge racism.

It was a horrible accident. How much more profile has it been though due to her being a cop. and then there's the other component...the major driving one.

Yes, she accidently decided to leave her training and police protocol at the door.  She accidently pulled the trigger.  Accidently forgot how to do cpr.  Accidently texted her married love during 911 call. Accidently erased texts.  The accidently part ended  the moment she claimed to have heard Jean before deciding to go in.

This is where I'm at. Did she majorly fuck up? Yes! Should she ever be a cop again? Fuck no. But I'm just not sure she used this incident as an opportunity to murder a black man. So is that really murder?

Yall have been watching too many movies. Looking like she shot dude for standing up.  Pretty sure that's not police procedure.  Have we already forgotten about producing weapon?  Imminent threat?  This after ignoring numerous signs that she was in the wrong place.  No, I don't think she was hunting black men for sport or some shit, but Police shoot to kill.  Not sure of what circumstance follows their usual reasoning for firing their weapon(again, to kill).  And then didn't render aid or show any damn concern for dude.  So fuck all the noise.  The actions once that door opened were enough.  She shot him because he was in his apt.

I don't know how anyone (besides the dorks around here addicted to star wars cartoons) can keep watching. I wanted to like it for nostalgia reasons, but it just boils down to many, many hours of muppets. Creepy looking muppets.

To each their own.  Better show than 95% of the bullshit on Netflix
