Checking out the OT Star Wars. Easily the best home presentation ever. Looks and sounds incredible. 4k HDR and Atmos. On Nvidia Shield.

Working on Nvidia shield w/hdr and Dolby 5.1

If they aren't going to follow the protocol, do we as federal employees get to not do the damn training year? Same training that doesn't qualify reasons for one's identity to be revealed. Brought to you by appointees who are letting several important things in my agency languish....... Again.

Franklin. Consistent, hard missed team. Brats/plays too teams tough with less talent. Winning head coach from a P5,NFL or bust. Anything else, and we aren't serious about football

Like the unis, and the reference to the blood spitting eyes when cornered. Doesn't help or hurt, but something fun for the kids/recruits to get excited about. I get it. UT work clothes, class, don't need that, etc .

Was sent a pic of northaven gardens. Looks completely wiped out.

Bunch of fucking spoilers...
Just binged the entire thing last night. Not a big serial TV show guy so that was rare for me.
While the story gets maybe a little predictable or carried away at times, I think the pacing saves a lot of scenes that would otherwise leave a bad taste, and there are enough decent twists. (I mean the whole plot with "the boys" is just one dues ex after another, but they keep it interesting and avoid cliffhangers.)
The angle of tying a morally corrupt corporation to all of the world's superheros is well done. The marketing guys crack me up, Madeline is a perfect self-involved cunt executive, Homelander is a fantastic anti-hero - I think it raises a lot of good questions and ties into some interesting themes, especially with the reveal that none of the supes were born that way.
The scenes with the politicians seemed a little ham-handed to me. The blackmailing of the okie senator and the complete neutering of the secretary of defense both seemed a little too... easy? I'd tie it into @wild_turkey's point about the supes not being all that super. Seems like the US gov. would have more nuts and wouldn't let one corp push them around like that. Then again, we haven't really seen Homelander's power tested yet (or even Starlight's, really). The viewer also knows a lot more about their weaknesses than the general public might assume.
The Deep is perfect comic relief. I laughed out loud at the dolphin scene. Him being stuck in Ohio is great as well. The scene with the lobster, him shaving his head, him at the therapist's appointment, making the vodka smoothies - all deft comic breaks in the rest of the action. I definitely get a Rogen vibe from his story and the way they handle it on screen.
Looking forward to season 2. Curious to see what they do with Frenchie and the Asian girl's story especially.
Ha!

Perhaps the most comfortable she they've ever made, IMO. Yes, the styling is out there for us older folks, but nothing crazy. React is a great tech also. More form than boost, but better over the length of a day. Easy decision if they actually had my size

Interesting to think a Christian would only believe in part of the Bible because they are so nice..

That one demonstration of forgiveness will go further to change any ingrained thoughts of hate more than 100 years in prison would.
Black people have been praying and forgiving our way to subjugation. Hate to say that as a Christian, but while we forgive, the applicable reality has not followed not had it been reciprocated. Can't even get people to acknowledge racism.

10 years is nothing to sneeze at. It's plenty. Most sentences are too damned long anyway.
If the Balch Springs guy got 15, 10 is appropriate here.
Ten years ain't shit unless you think 15 years was enough for shooting into a car full of teenagers driving away.

A guy wouldn’t forget where his apartment is.
The testimony from this case says otherwise.

Guy cops don't need to panic. They get rage and gun happy. We just had a cop kill a kid in a car driving away. Plenty of video evidence of dude cops fucking up. I have no doubt if it was a side instead, he kills Bo and gets away with it.

I fully believe it's manslaughter now that was put back as an option. the public pressure caused the overcharge.
It's been thoroughly explained why it wasn't an overcharge

It was a horrible accident. How much more profile has it been though due to her being a cop. and then there's the other component...the major driving one.
Yes, she accidently decided to leave her training and police protocol at the door. She accidently pulled the trigger. Accidently forgot how to do cpr. Accidently texted her married love during 911 call. Accidently erased texts. The accidently part ended the moment she claimed to have heard Jean before deciding to go in.

has the forensics report come out? Like where was he shot? What position was he in?

This is where I'm at. Did she majorly fuck up? Yes! Should she ever be a cop again? Fuck no. But I'm just not sure she used this incident as an opportunity to murder a black man. So is that really murder?
Yall have been watching too many movies. Looking like she shot dude for standing up. Pretty sure that's not police procedure. Have we already forgotten about producing weapon? Imminent threat? This after ignoring numerous signs that she was in the wrong place. No, I don't think she was hunting black men for sport or some shit, but Police shoot to kill. Not sure of what circumstance follows their usual reasoning for firing their weapon(again, to kill). And then didn't render aid or show any damn concern for dude. So fuck all the noise. The actions once that door opened were enough. She shot him because he was in his apt.
-
Have they said anything about the layout of her apt? Was her tv and sofa oriented in the same way his was?

I don't know how anyone (besides the dorks around here addicted to star wars cartoons) can keep watching. I wanted to like it for nostalgia reasons, but it just boils down to many, many hours of muppets. Creepy looking muppets.
To each their own. Better show than 95% of the bullshit on Netflix

Enjoying the hell out of Dark Crystal. Just fun and enjoyable and is amazing to look at. Far more involved than I was ever expecting. I wouldn't say game of thrones. More LoTR. I I'm surprised I'm not annoyed by some of the sillier aspects, because they keep it fun.

Preach brotha.....a great book, but starting to look like a good possibility at some point in the not too distant future...
"picture yourself planting radishes and seed potatoes on the fifteenth green of a forgotten golf course. You'll hunt elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center, and dig clams next to the skeleton of the Space Needle leaning at a forty-five degree angle. We'll paint the skyscrapers with huge totem faces and goblin tikis, and every evening what's left of mankind will retreat to empty zoos and lock itself in cages as protection against the bears and big cats and wolves that pace and watch us from outside the cage bars at night."
Nah, this is some conservative American bullshit.

I think they needed to introduce new supes. I'm guessing that is where they will go next season
So impatient. They were halfway into filming the second season when the first season was released. All will be revealed in time.
