  1. Apologies for the shitty pic, but Grimaldi's pesto pizza is one of my favorite things to eat, anywhere.  Give me that over any neapolitan slice in town about 95/100 times, but I'm a NY style guy.

If the roles had been reversed there they would have called a flagrant foul on Luka.  Hyperbole obv, but you do that to Harden and he's getting the call 100/100.

I was listening to Skin talk about him the other day.  Talked about how confused he is that he's getting the rookie treatment from officials when he's been the best player in the second best league in the world for multiple years.

Doesn't seem that out there to me. Both schools are arms of the state. The annual game was a significant and longstanding piece of Texas' culture, thoroughly enjoyed and anticipated by many citizens of our state. For many people, watching or going to that game is central in their memories of spending Thanksgiving with loved ones. Putting on that game was a benefit these two public universities bestowed on the state for a hundred years, and they stopped doing it over some bruised egos and a few million bucks. I really don't see why it's outrageous at all for the legislature to step in and tell both schools to get over themselves and make with the football already.

The Surly and TexAgs contingents are always against it, but ordinary fans and Texans in general liked the game, they're annoyed it went away and they'd like it to come back. Most people don't give a shit about which side started this slap fight, or whether one team "deserves" to play the other, or who's scared to play or any of that.

Yeah that's totally what he should be doing with his time.  He should have to pay back money for every minute he spent on that.

    Luigi's in Rockwall, FTW

I worked at the one in Lubbock for a while.  The son of one of the Rockwall owners started it.  I read up on him a while back and he was doing a bit for running guns and meth out of another location he'd opened in Longview.

The fishermen who ferried John Chau to the island late on the night of November 14 told police that they anchored their boat about 500 metres from the beach. Early the next day, the American rowed to the island in a canoe he had brought along. He was also carrying a Bible, Andaman & Nicobar Director General of Police (DGP) Dependra Pathak told NDTV. The fishermen saw the Sentinelese shoot arrows at Mr Chau, but he kept going forward.

North Sentinel Island is home to the Sentinelese who reject any contact with the outside world.

That afternoon, Mr Chau returned to the boat with some non-fatal arrow injuries. He applied medicines, had some food, wrote of his first contact with the Sentinelese in his diary and then -- in the dead of night -- set off for the island again in his canoe. That was the last time the fishermen saw him alive.

Early on November 17, the fishermen saw some Sentinelese tribals drag a body resembling that of Mr Chau to the beach and bury it in the sand. Petrified, they returned to Port Blair and gave the diary to a Port Blair resident known only as Mr Alexander.

But how about the folks on power crews who go out even while the storm is still raging to try to keep power running to vital places?

I don't think you could pay me enough money to be a linesman.

You are clearly doing this thread right.

    But hey!  Whoa!  Slow down.....!

Vic's contrarianism would make Skip Bayless blush.  This thread should be named after him.

I was kind of afraid of that, the lady has been suggesting it to try.  I think she saw the view where it overlooks downtown and thinks that is cool and means it's good.  I find it odd that I never hear of any place in the Groves that is a must, shame.

Never eaten at Saint Rocco's, but take Lando's advice with a grain of salt.  He can't enjoy himself knowing all those West Dallas Mexicans are only a few hundred yards away.

The team and organization are one in the same entity. Should have definitely paid with draft picks because that is what would actually punish Cuban who was responsible for allowing that culture to fester for 20 fucking years.

Yeah,  I'm trying to get away from internet stupidity so I'm not going to resort to name-calling, so I'll just say I disagree with you.  And ask what fucking rock you've been living under where the shit described in that SI article seems shocking in the least.
