Sounds like you all were wrapping the brisket in the towels. I've always just put the foil wrapped brisket on a tray in the bottom of the cooler and packed in a few towels loosely to fill the head space. It's always worked well.
Â
More recently, I've been tossing it into a low, wide Crockpot with a warm setting.
Yeah, previously would wrap brisket in towel and then place in cooler. Honestly though even placing towels in top would seem to get them smelling like bbq to the point my wife would probably complain when doing laundry. I think every self respecting Texan has the same dark blue or dark green towel that sits in the garage only to be used for holding bbq lol.
Â
The thing pictured above makes transporting super easy though.  Way easier to carry that around than a cooler, especially if I’m bringing bbq to the office for a potluck or something.Â

That’s partly my point. But it would still have to pass the clearinghouse.Â
I guess I’m failing to understand why anyone would opt out. They can get rev sharing as well as outside corporate NIL deals.Â

What is the likelihood of players opting out of the House Settlement in lieu of more lucrative NIL deals. If they opted out would the clearinghouse process not apply?Â
ÂIs there a possibility of rosters being split between players opting in and receiving revenue share while others opt out and receive big time NIL?Â
Corporate NIL isn’t cappedÂ

That’s what I was hoping to hear. I didn’t realize it was just open like that during the week. They thoroughly enjoyed it.Â

Volunteered to coach my almost 4 year old’s T-ball team without really realizing what I was getting myself into. The difference in the whole team (and my coaching) from week 1 til today was night and day - very cool to see. 3-4 is definitely young for t ball but I could tell the kids had fun. Anyway, champs motha fuckas!Â

Anyone?Â
Have been to Toro once and had a great time - really enjoyed the food and the scene. Not from SA so can’t comment on the others.Â

Louie Mueller BBQ and Country Tavern are similar: old joints that kept doing things the same and have kept things on pretty well. And, as an aside, I know they're proud of those rib$$$, and I know you like that place, but I've never been much of a fan. But, I'm still kind of glad places like it, Y'all's BBQ, and Pat Gee's are out there in this area and still surviving in the era of level-up BBQ, of which Stanley's and Sunbird are the local torch-bearers with a few pretty decent places up north of I20 nobody really knows about outside of the area.
/edit: Really like what Sunbird is doing. I ate Bryan's BBQ at Bodacious before he left. I went by the trailer when it was in White Oak. Unfortunately, I had to take it to go and while I remember its being good, BBQ never is as good after 30 minutes in the car in a Styrofoam container. I need to just make the short drive at this point. I'm so lazy.
… which are? Could always use a daytime activity when up there visiting family.Â

When I got to UT in 1988 the undergrad enrollment was around 50k with a state population of around 16M. The current state population is around 32M and this fall the undergrad enrollment will be around 50k. Combine the lack of enrollment keeping pace with population growth with the fact that kids from places like fucking Muleshoe and Rosebud Lott are getting auto admitted, you are seeing a brain drain from the state. I think top 10% should get you into the System. The Flagship should take the best and brightestÂ
Do you not know how UT admissions work regarding auto admission?

We were saying the same regarding humidity or lack thereof. We drove to Mission Concepcion, and saw some of those electric assist bikes there, so decided we’d rent some and ride down and back to the next closest mission. Whatever it got up to yesterday, it wasn’t bad at all relative to what it would been like in Houston. I wouldn’t have been able to convince my wife to do that in Houston’s humidity.Â

So... My safe brain is telling me to move to SA before Houston has another super flood...Â
Am I going to hate it?Â
I lived in SA for about a year or so almost 30 years ago... I hated it (probably because I commuted to North Austin daily).Â
We can’t for a lot of reasons, but I personally wish I could GTFO Houston for San Antonio. I don’t even dislike Houston, but I think SA is my favorite city in Texas. It’s for sure becoming our quick driveable getaway/long weekend location.Â

What’s the number?

$300 for the two of us after tip. I had a cocktail and a glass of wine, my wife didn’t have anything to drink. Thank god she didn’t or we would’ve ordered a bottle of wine and made it closer to $400

Ended up at Bohanan’s for our 10 year anniversary to “blow it out”, as someone suggested up thread. What an incredible meal, from setting to service to food, just an all around great experience. We both have a bit of “vacation stomach” right now so we didn’t even do a bottle of wine but even still that was an impressive price tag… worth it, but dayum!

Maybe that’s not the right word… maybe “bite” would’ve been more appropriate. It wasn’t mushy, but it was a little too fall off the bone, at least if I am nitpicking.Â
