    I was looking for a pair of lizard boots, as it’s probably about time to retire my Tony Lama ostrich. I didn’t feel like spending $500, so I figured I’d see if there was anything good on eBay. Ended up on Poshmark, and found these Tomy Lamas for $100. Wasn’t sure what to expect with secondhand boots but these are in very good condition and seem only slightly worn based on the sole and heel.

    Don’t bother with the aquarium unless you’re just going for the rides. The actual aquarium is weak AF. As already mentioned, lots of activities in museum district/the zoo. Knowing what area of the city you plan to stay in would help as far as dining goes.

    FWIW I started 4 week overnight camp at 8-9, I wouldn’t say it’s too long for 1-2 weeks at all. You can get a lot of that as a little kid as far as maturity and independence go. I would say go for it if you think he’s at all up to it.

    Buffalo, mango habanero, and garlic parm wings on the Kamado. Tossing them in some baking powder a couple hours before cooking makes the skin next level. If I hadn’t made them, I’d have believed you if you told me they were fried wings.

    I wanted to mix things up a bit tonight since we’ve gone through gumbo, chili, tortilla soup etc recently and we hadn’t made anything new in a while. I saw this recipe pop up the other day for butternut squash, kale, and farro “risotto” and decided to give it a go… it will definitely be made again.     Just want to drop in to the circle jerk to thank @UTPhil2006 for working my refinance when a lot of the action happened during the last two holiday weeks. We were able to drop a point from when we bought our house over the summer through UWM. Dude is always ahead of the game - very good at walking through the process and letting me know what was coming ahead of time. He was also super patient while explaining things to me like I’m a 5 year old. Thanks dude!

    The temp I got on that was far superior to the prime rib I cooked for Christmas Eve. Love a good prime rib, and it was still very good, but I think lamb will be my move going forward. It was just too good.
