  1. Lopsided bracket. Aledo had some tough close games to get here. This is going to end up being their easiest game all postseason.
  2. Yes he is, that’s why I said Cedar Hill lost the talent roulette this year. There is enough talent to sustain multiple schools in this area, but not quite enough for all of them, somebody is going to lose out. Suburban parents on the north side ain’t really in a rush to send their kids to South Dallas County, so the talent pool for these schools still comes from a surprisingly limited area, which means they can cannibalize each other. (Note: Duncanville basketball is an exception to this, them boys recruit statewide.) Desoto has a lot of really nice areas too, Cedar Hill’s demographics have not shifted much in the short time since McGuire left, they just lost the talent musical chair game this cycle. 6-10 years ago, Cedar Hill and DeSoto were really good and Duncanville wasn’t. That’s just how it goes.
  3. Malik Muhammad and Billy Walton throwing up the Hook‘em after winning state for second straight year.
  4. He’s mostly been playing RB. SOC needs him there more, they have like 5 other D1 db’s.
  5. That’ll do it. Final: SOC 34 PNG 24. It’s really really hard to win at football in DISD, to do it back to back is a hell of an accomplishment.
  6. #55 is the kid that weighs almost 400 LBs right? There are no football pants that fit him.
  7. Their nondistrict was insane, no one should’ve been bothered by the losses on their record. It’s no coincidence Skyline fell off as soon as Samples left. Cedar Hill was in the state title game just two years ago. Their coach is okay, but he’s no Joey McGuire.
  8. Duncanville is just southwest of Dallas, there’s always a ton of talent in that area, Duncanville, DeSoto, and SOC are all very close to each other and they’re all in state title games. Cedar Hill is the team in the area that lost the talent roulette this year. 3-time state champion, but they were terrible this season. Also Skyline used to be pretty good, but have been awful since Samples left for Duncanville. Yeah, Duncanville is actually like 50% Hispanic and 40% Black. Football team doesn’t quite share those demographics though.
  9. It ended up not mattering, but it was silly. Great play though. SOC came back out on fire after being down double digits early.
  10. SOC’s offense has been suspect all year. If PNG keeps scoring like they are, SOC won’t be able to keep up
  11. Alright time for the big classifications! Thank you to China Spring for the comeback and giving us a great game. Been a lot of clunkers, needed that.
  12. I see you googled tizzy and repeated the first result like a poorly programmed AI. No need to over analyze the word choice, the context was obviously a positive one.
  13. Wish that could’ve been the title game. UIL is largely useless, NCAA-lite. In the bigger classifications shenanigans happen with brand new schools. Katy Paetow won a 5A title last year with an enrollment over 3k.
  14. I sure hope the bigger classifications deliver. 7 championships in and theres only been 1 competitive game.
  15. Carthage is too powerful, even for the curse of Helobius.
  16. Franklin was really holding on to that one pass play for the right moment. I still think they’d be a better team if they mixed in at least a couple of passes per game, but it worked out for them.
  17. On my IPhone, Chrome browser actually works but Safari does not.
  18. They also have 6 players in the top 50 in the On3 consensus Einstein, so pick whichever you want.
  19. The main one. Texas has 6 players in the top 50 of the 247 composite.
