  1. They don't even remember last year. 4th of July last year is when Dakorien Moore committed to Oregon.
  2. Yep, and here’s another thing people probably don’t realize. They fill out those “first teams” as entire rosters, not just a starting lineup, there’s like 50 spots. 11 OL made district 3-6A “first team” and Ojo wasn’t one of them. He’s all projection.
  3. The composite has 30 5-stars right now and Turntine is ranked 36th. He's not that far off. This board spent so much time shitting on the kid for not being fatter, people forgot he was still highly ranked
  4. The outrage would've been from other teams/fans. "Texas is ruining college football!!11". People care a lot less when its an irrelevant Texas Tech program.
  5. Ojo's number being that ridiculous is probably a good sign for those that were worried. House settlement or not, Texas was not going to pay 5+ million dollars for Ojo, that is an irresponsible use of funds.
  6. Alright, ain't no way in hell Texas should match that. Ya'll got it Tech, 5 mil on a Tackle that's all potential right now.
  7. Posts like this are so weird because there has been plenty of worrying, whining and gnashing of teeth on this board. What is it that you want? You seem to be upset that it’s just not 100% that.
  8. I assume they didn't get anywhere near what Ojo is being offered and so they would've been more economical. But if they did, then none of this matters, and the incessant whining on this board was actually warranted.
  9. They are just star fucking. They're more interested in "sending a message" than they are actually building a well-rounded class.
  10. This is my thing, if we already knew (or knew of the possibility) that we weren't going to be offering crazy dough because of the house settlement, then we probably should've been going harder at the backup plans. We'll see what happens tomorrow, but if we lose Ojo because Tech or some other team offers him something ridiculous, the mistake wouldn't be not paying for Ojo, the mistake would be not pushing harder on someone like Roseborough or Krempin.
  11. The “hi’s” are stupid. This board knows silent commitments are useless but still gets excited over every “hi”.
  12. Yeah, Xavier Griffin is originally from Alabama, and so is Crowell. that's two 5-stars from Bama that went to Bama. I'm glad we are swinging for the fences, because sometimes it works ( ie Justus Terry last year), but those aren't recruitments that should have ever been considered toss ups. OTF is better than most, but they're still prone to your typical 9.95 cliches. Phrases like "Texas is confident" don't mean anything, they say it about almost everyone.
  13. WR is a position I know will be fine, but the Kaydon Finley/Jalen Lott situations annoy the shit out of me the same way the Brockemeyers did.
  14. Do they not want to play together? or is it just not feasible to pay what both want?
  15. 247 and Rivals rankings are based on cumulative score, so the specialists don’t hurt our ranking, just our avg, which their rankings aren’t based on. I honestly don’t fully understand On3’s ranking system. They have an algorithm that’s based on averages, but it’s weighed to factor in blue chip players more. So the specialists probably are hurting our ranking there, but not by much.
  16. I don't have some huge objection to the "Hi's", but they are very very meaningless.
  17. Wow! This is the type of huge commitment this board was waiting for. Top 25 national player in the On3 industry rankings, top 15 in the 247 composite.
  18. You’ve become a caricature of yourself. Just straight up a cartoon character at this point.
  19. That’s probably the first recruiting loss that actually hurts this cycle. aggy clearly going all in this class. And maybe we miss Tashard Choice a bit.
  20. This whole time I thought this was Chris Stewart’s younger brother, didn’t realize it was his twin.
