  1. He’s not in the shitty PAC-12 anymore. Say what you want about the Big 12, but the conference has innovative offenses, and PK clearly doesn’t know what to do with them. This 247 recruiters list is pretty useless FYI. It’s inaccurate all the time.
  2. Not saying I’m disagreeing with anything here, but it needs to be said that our defensive scheme is fucking stupid and does the DL no favors.
  3. No, we’re just not pretending to be know-it-alls after the fact. The take made sense at the time, we weren’t in a position to be picky. That’s a good point, and almost everyone on this board wants Neto, because like back then, we aren’t in a position to be picky.
  4. This is really the only point that matters in this debate. Given our poor recent history recruiting OL, absent legal issues, there was no chance we were going to pass on someone with Johnson’s measurables and potential. It didn’t work out, but this ain’t even top 50 on the long list of things people should be captain hindsighting on with this team.
  5. It’s pretty good insight on how the staff feels about certain players. Coburn was pretty much the only junior listed who actually played. Tells you what a disappointment he’s been, and that they’re ready to give guys like Murphy more run. Conversely, Overshown, Jamison, and Cook were the seniors who were not listed, so those are guys the staff really wants back. (They still have extra covid year eligibility)
  6. JAG=average, you’re not really disagreeing with the person you’re responding to. Id say before the injury Thompson was average, after it he was well below it. With his dad being a pain in the ass, it’s not at all worth keeping him around. As far as Card, the last game was the first game he didn’t completely shit himself all season. He had every opportunity to win this job over a guy we all agree is at best a JAG and he couldn’t come close to doing it. I’d like to move on from both.
  7. I mean, for this last game we don’t really either. But, I’m not seriously advocating for anything, it’s just a fun tidbit. It was only Southern Miss’ second win this season and it was their first against an FBS opponent. They were literally better without a QB.
  8. Southern Miss has gone through like 10 QBs this year, so in their game last week they just said fuck it and released a depth chart with no QBs on it. They put RB Frank Gore Jr. behind center and they won. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . The main point is I don’t want Card or Thompson back.
  9. Well, there’ll be at least one, maybe two incoming freshmen as well. It all depends on what the staff can do in the portal and in recruiting of course. I hope they do well enough that we can move on.
  10. I’d be happy if no QBs on the roster were here next year. Burn that QB room to the ground. Maybe Charles Wright can stay for depth purposes only. BJ isn’t as talented as Sterns, don’t see that working out in the same way for him. “He’s trying hard but sucks ass anyway” is a hilarious defense. That dude should not be on the field at all.
  11. What’s lame and lazy is pulling random numbers out of your ass. 90%? Give me a break. Surly are not most fans. Most Texas fans are largely apathetic, it’s why our home game atmosphere sucked for years.
  12. As a whole, I’d argue that we aren’t that intense of a fanbase at all. Ohio State,Alabama, LSU, Florida and really most of the SEC are all crazier.
  13. Last I saw, he was still the backup QB behind Rising on the depth chart. He only moved up after Charlie Brewer left the program though.
  14. I agree that there is a deeper culture problem, but players come and go even faster than coaches. There has to be rot among the people that have been constants. I agree with all of this. And we all know Sarkisian is not getting fired right away, the administration will give him his chance. I don’t have much optimism that he will do anything with it though.
  15. Pretending that none of this is on the coaches is also a coping mechanism. That way, you can just hope to land 30 players from the transfer portal and everything will be a-okay next season. Everything on this board right now can be classified as a coping mechanism.
  16. Yea, who could expect Sarkisian to overcome the monumental task of dealing with a whiny parent. Impossible for sure.
  17. Desoto beat Rockwall handily 49-28. That Desoto week 1 loss to Judson has to be one of weirdest results of the year. Desoto’s only other loss is to Duncanville.
  18. Thompson and Card both suck, if Sarkisian had another plausible option, he would’ve went to it. Just because Thompson was the one they could convince to stay does not mean they preferred him over Rising. Rising was the more coveted guy out of high school, I doubt Thompson wowed them enough in practice to flip the script on that. Especially since according to reports, Thompson is not a good practice player.
  19. We didn’t “let” those guys go, they wanted out. Thompson is just the one who stayed. Jackson made a mistake though, he definitely would be playing right now, and it wouldn’t have been for Herman and his staff, who he had beef with.
  20. It’s not even debatable, about to be 4-8 and lost to Kansas at home, literally worse than any Strong year
  21. Well, the Brian Jones stuff didn’t really matter before, but it definitely doesn’t now. The only thing that matters is that this team stinks.
  22. It’s honestly worse not to name the kid, now people are just going to attack multiple kids who they think is the culprit.
