  1. I'd hang a poster with the Seven Tenets of the Satanic Church right next to the 10 commandments. Honestly, these don't sound so bad:

    I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
    II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
    III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
    IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
    V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
    VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
    VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

Deadly Asian Needle Ants Found in US

June 14, 2025 by David Jones

Dr. Debbie Castle, an ant behavior biologist at the University of South Florida, has provided some insight into the behavior of these ants. According to her, only the worker ants have the capacity to sting, while the queens and males do not. The sting of an Asian needle ant is similar to that of a fire ant, known for their painful bites. As a precautionary measure, individuals allergic to fire ant stings are advised to carry an EpiPen.

This is true for all ant species. This fact is not "according to Dr. Debbie Castle."

And there is a hot tip for the day: If you are allergic to fire ant stings, carry an epipen.

So what else is bullshit, bad science, or shitty journalism in that article?

I'm almost certain that small, self-inflicted embarrassment is now the reason he has a personal hatred with everything and anyone involved with atmospheric science.

Of course. He's also going after Columbia because they didn't buy land from him back in the 80s (90s?) when they wanted to expand their campus/open a satellite campus in lower Manhattan.

He's also going after Harvard because they didn't accept his cyber-genius son.

I was intrigued until I opened the “reveal hidden contents” tab. Has disappointment.

In your eagerness, you obviously missed the "British Airways" part of the "British Airways" flight attendant. They got some battle axes working on BA.

Come on, friend, you haven't even tried. Sure we can measure it. The question is, how?

But first, are we talking one sliding scale from zero possible stupidity to maximum, or are there multiple axes for like, say, a Juggalo Amway Maga Autotuned Speakerphone-in-Restaurant Spam-clicking Flat-Earther?

Do we use some Godless French decimal system, or quirky medieval soup of twelves, eights, and body parts?

In honor of the departed milking crew, maybe we should throw in some intricate wheel-within-wheel calculations.

Which ever axis stupidity is on will have to use a logarithmic scale.

I have no desire to ever fly in a small plane or a helicopter.

I have a friend with a small plane. I've ridden in it probably 10 times in 20 years or so. We're both nearing 60, and I've begun to wonder what I would do if he had a massive coronary suddenly

I mean if that happened in a car, I could steer from the passenger seat, shift to Neutral, maybe use the emergency brake to slow down.

Greenland Signs Lucrative Minerals Deal with Europe in Blow to Trump

Greenland has sparked international attention since President Trump expressed his interest in acquiring the Arctic island rich in minerals, oil and natural gas.

Greenland's Mineral Resources Minister Naaja Nathanielsen said that U.S. interest in the island has not resulted in any investment and the deal signals that business dialog with European partners was progressing more quickly.
