If you really wanted to launder cash in small increments over a very long time, it seems doable.  But you would also be tempted to start buying larger and larger items.

At first, you are paying cash for groceries and gas.  However you windfall is just groceries/gas for the rest of your life.  Boring.  But you are tempted to pay your mortgage in cash as that is your largest monthly bill.  All of sudden, now there is a record of a cash payment in the banking system.  No one would say anything in the first month, so why not do that every month.  Why not make a car payment in cash?

you can't tell me that the federal govt doesn't search for banking cash payment trends.  It doesn't mean that they would investigate you, or that you're  committing a crime but it puts you on a list somewhere.

That's when you shift over to hookers and blow. Maybe even two hookers and blow.

They're going to score with big plays even if you drop 8, so I say we live and die with multiple blitz looks all day. Force the quick throw and make the tackle.

Sure. Put a spy on the little fucker. Someone quick who can hit.

Gonna need Kyler to be loose with the ball again.

Kyler is always a little loose with the ball. He's just been lucky. Put a hit on him when he scrambles, and there is a good chance he looses it. The problem is putting the hit on him

You are right, one of the theories is that it is a different enterovirus. But there appears no relationship with polio vaccination, or lack thereof. Summary from CDC:

    https://www.cdc.gov/acute-flaccid-myelitis/afm-surveillance.html

What CDC has learned since 2014

    • Most of the patients with AFM (more than 90%) had a mild respiratory illness or fever consistent with a viral infection before they developed AFM.
      • Viral infections such as from enteroviruses are common, especially in children, and most people recover. We don’t know why a small number of people develop AFM, while most others recover. We are continuing to investigate this.
    • These AFM cases are not caused by poliovirus; all the stool specimens from AFM patients that we received tested negative for poliovirus.
    • We detected coxsackievirus A16, EV-A71, and EV-D68 in the spinal fluid of four of 440 confirmed cases of AFM since 2014, which points to the cause of their AFM. For all other patients, no pathogen (germ) has been detected in their spinal fluid to confirm a cause.
    • Most patients had onset of AFM between August and October, with increases in AFM cases every two years since 2014. At this same time of year, many viruses commonly circulate, including enteroviruses, and will be temporally associated with AFM.
    • Most AFM cases are children (over 90%) and have occurred in 46 states and DC.

So what you're saying is we are one virus away from the zombie apocalypse?

Yeah, the limited reading I've done on this seems to hint at some sort of relative of polio doing this.  Just spitballin' here, but you know how nature abhors a vacuum?   So, we effectively eliminate polio (we have, in the western world).  Mother Nature says "oh yeah?  Well, here's polio 2, electric boogaloo!"  Polio was no bueno.  Polio 2 doesn't sound fun either.

Nah, this probably would have happened anyway.

i'm triggered by anti-vaxxers so I automatically assumed this was their fault somehow.

Don't worry, at some point they'll develop a vaccine that anti-vaxxers can not take.

Trump does have a point about bailing out GM.  I wonder if the decade more we got out of them was a net positive or not.

Not really. Let's bail them out, then fuck them over by imposing unnecessary tariffs for political reasons.

Trump wanted to apply tariffs because it's the one thing he found out he can do on his own without needing pesky approval from any other branch of government.  He applied tariffs only because it gives the impression that he's "doing something" and it also provides him a "me, wrapped in a flag, versus them" appearance.  That was it.  He wanted another adversary solely for the sake of appearances.

I thought that was true only if "National Security" were involved?

It's not so much about portability as much as it is about actually being able to use it.  Even if you are only worried about the IRS and not some cartel, getting rid of 7.5 million at Best Buy and restaurants would become a pain.  As fun as it sounds to dream about it would certainly become a burden thinking of new stuff you want to buy.  I guess at that point you just put it in a storage facility for the next guy.

If I really really gave it my all, I could burn through 7.5 large in Vegas fairly quickly.

I am willing to consider any and all climate change solutions, under the sole condition those solutions are not predicated by the creation of a massive unassigned revenue source such as a “carbon tax”.

Went to Israel two weeks ago, stayed a night in Germany on the way back.  Had a frankfurter that I didn't think tasted right, but kept eating because I thought that's how authentic ones tasted.  Didn't feel it hit until the boarding process the next morning.  I was already puking during takeoff.  Vomiting and diarrhea  on a ten hour flight from FRA to IAH, and then to Austin took me to a level of hell I'll never experience again.  I'm sure I'm the most hated passenger ever.

  11. Flying back from Europe after our honeymoon, wife and I were served some egg salad sandwiches in first class* a few hours before landing. She declined, I ate hers. We had a layover in Toronto for a few days to visit old friends. They picked us up at the airport, just as the first rumblings were hitting. Barely made it too their house before destroying their guest bathroom.

*no humblebrag, FIL gave us a shitload of miles as a wedding gift.

"The Climate report says X on page 7, based on data points Y and Z.  What is your specific criticism of conclusion X -- why do you say it is incorrect?"

Real world we live in because we let the morons win:

Reporter: "The Climate report says X on page----"

Trump: "Brisket, I like brisket, great food they have down there in Texas, great state. A lot of people don't know that. They love me down there, love me."

Reporter: "...what is your specific criticism of--"

Trump: "We're looking into that, they're telling me that's wrong, so we'll see what happens with that, but I think we can get heating below 2, maybe 1.5, we'll see how low we can get it."
