it's ok to cheat at government because that's caesar's, not jesus's.

it is all speculation but i suspect it would now. but not overwhelmingly so.
the most hilarious part of all this is the british government (and its population's) utter surprise and disappointment that the e.u. didn't just lay down in the negotiations and give them everything they wanted. fucking hilarious nincompoops.
"you're not giving us everything we want even though we have the best deal of any country in the EU and just over half of us vaguely want out so give us everything we want!"

Capitalism that is not an end in itself but a means to serve the ideal of more prosperous, more just, more stable, stronger society.
GOP has completely lost sight of this. we're not here to serve the economy. the economy is here to serve us. if people are no longer satisfied with the job it is doing it is their right to change it.

You're not going to be successful in deflecting attention from yet another example of a far right-winger white nationalist plotting political violence. Unless you agree with his extremist views, I don't see why you'd want to defend or draw attention away from it.
it's onboard. it's what he does.

Why? Honest question.
it's a combination of cost+ contracts going to contractors who then have little reason to bother playing hardball with the union. so stuff ends up overstaffed by 300%. even the union chiefs are like 'why do we have so many guys standing around?' MTA just pays the bill. and the cost+ isn't the standard 10% that it is basically everywhere else in the world, it works out to nearly 50%. there's apparently only 3 companies that bid these things so no one rocks the boat. and everyone involved is someone's brother in law or cousin. so a strong union is a necessary condition but it's not sufficient to explain why NYC is $2.5 billion per mile and paris is $450 million per mile.

TXDot is rebuilding and widening highways across the state from the Valley, Houston and Dallas. New York’s subway is crumbling and they can only do a fraction of the improvements necessary because of the ridiculous bloated costs from unions. Progressives want to give more power to unions and that was one of their complaints about HQ2 LIC! Loving the new 290/I-10 interchange and can’t wait for the improvements to the West Loop and Gulf Fwy to be completed. That’s some damn good infrastructure. Take a look at the improvements to IAH and compare it to EWR.
NY unions aren't any stronger than those in paris and yet paris expansions are a fraction of the cost of NYC's.

looks like the echo chamber is attempting to turn the AOC thread into another Trump thread.
i dunno, over the weekend it looked a lot more like the hilary thread than anything else. maybe if you and the bash/euro/whoever socks keep trying it'll be like that abortion.
