This shit pisses me off. Saban is hailed as some sort of friendly grandpa who only wants what's good for the sport, yet we all know, with certainty, that the fucking guy was one of the biggest players in the competitively limited bag game. When he could no longer buy the best players and then stash them without mobility on his roster, he fucking quit.
Fuck this shit. I hate this move from Trump and hate who he has involved. JFC.

Same. I don't think the message boards were particularly happy about it.
People were pissed and tired of losing. We wanted Urban Meyer because we were tired of watching Texas get its teeth kicked in for 1.5 decades. Lucky for us, Steve, NIL and Quinn all aligned perfectly at the right time to allow us to build a perpetual fuckstomping machine.

Because that’s what this thread needed. A conversation about race. The competition is tough, but this might be the worst post in this entire thread.
Put that dumbass on ignore. You’ll thank me. He’s a complete fucking idiot. Everyone on the recruiting boards agrees.

1/3 is horrendous for a kicker. That's a fact. I've stated why I think Quinn plummeted a few times already. He can't throw a consistently good deep ball. Every QB drafted before him threw that pass better than him. It was also the difference in us winning by 2 possessions for most of our games versus breaking their backs. I just don't understand the personal vendetta that some of our fans have with Quinn. It's sad. A great deal are actively rooting for him to fail. What the fuck is that about? Derka's reasons are because some posters hurt his feelings. THAT IS FUCKING INSANE TO ME!

So it’s ok to shit on Bert?
Yeah, he should have made one of those FGs. Ideally, the offense doesnt stall and settled for a 48 yarder. Not what I’d call a satisfactory drive.
Thats where Ewers needed to seal the deal. And Sark too. We’ve lost several games because the offense did not finish the deal. Bama 22. OU and UW 23. ASU in 24. Don’t settle for FGs.
0/2 of is pretty bad. 1/2 isn't great. Who is shitting on Bert btw? I'm not calling anyone names. Just stating the facts that he missed twice inside 4 minutes left.

Bert missed 2 go ahead field goals with under 4 minutes left in the game. Thank God Quinn won the game in OT.
-
Quinn's problems begin and end with his inability to hit the deep back breaker passes. He misses all of them. Everywhere else he's actually great. Go back and watch the film. He wasn't even in the neighborhood on deep posts.

He was genuinely a nice guy, so it was hard to just overtly stick a knife into his guts and twist.
But man it’s tempting.

I was ready to jump on you about this, but you're not that far off. Kelly Bryant threw only 10 fewer picks than Ewers, but that was also in fewer attempts and more seasons at QB. So your point is valid.
Kelly Bryant - 14 picks / 762 attempts (5 seasons)
Quinn Ewers - 24 picks / 737 attempts (3 seasons)
76 total TD's to 48 total TD's. Stupid comparison by stupid posters. Run of the mill football board dipshittery.

Counterpoint: Trevor Lawrence. He played very well as a freshman and then went on to beat Bama in the National Championship game the following year. I think it's old school to think that the freshman QBs can't handle the pressure. If they are as talented as Arch and the QB1 is holding the team back, I think it makes sense to give the freshman an accelerated development plan.
I think Quinn Ewers is quite a bit better than Kelly Bryant was.

I am pretty sure that Finkley graduated.
Bryant played this year and was blown off the ball every time he was in on a snap. It was depressing to watch.
In the quiet words of Ronnie Coleman, "EVERYBODY WANNA BE A BODYBUILDER BUT DON'T NOBODY WANT TO LIFT THIS HEAVY ASS WEIGHT!"
If you wanna be a DAMNED DOG at DL you better get in the gym and learn to squat a FUCKING TRUCK!

Broughton was always a tweener, but he seemed to be strong enough to hold up at the POA this past season. His explosiveness next to Big Al made them formidable. However, I would be remiss to not mention Lole and Norton being absolute boulders coming in to spell them. Our staff is EXTREMELY good at gameplanning from what I've seen. They took Smith away from Ohio State and said beat us and you know what they did, but it was painful for them. You guys are going to get tired of winning and I believe that. I won't, but that's because I'm an extremely hateful/spiteful son of a bitch. I don't just want to win. I want the crying and the bitching at an all time high. I want us to mete out justice to the cheaters that have lorded over us for a decade and a half. I want to feel the hate and then I want to stomp their fucking skull into a fine powder, pour gasoline on the corpses, light the fucking matches and piss on the ashes.

Guilbeau in the 2nd is the biggest WTF to me.
He can't continue to have huge breakdowns and be a 2nd rounder. Screen play against Ohio State and the TD against Vandy come to mind specifically with him imo.

Quinn led the SEC in passing TD's with 17 and didn't get to feast on Miss State.
He was tied for 1st with Milroe with 18 total TD's in conference play.
