  1. Do you live on a lake or have a lake house? Do your kids like to get up early and go fishing? Does your wife like fishing? If not, go ski boat of some kind. Under $40k and you can get some nice runabouts and some really decent used wakeboard boats.

    Good luck!!

  2. Quick 2-day (really a day and a half after getting here) stop in Napa Valley on our way elsewhere. Stayed in St. Helena as always.
WIneries:  Kelly Fleming, Young Inglewood and The Vineyardist. All good, Vineyardist crazy good.
    Dinner:  Farmstead and Brix
Grabbed burgers for lunch at Gott’s (original in St. Helena)

We really enjoyed Farmstead the last time we went to Napa. The pork chop was awesome.
  3. I tried Keto. I don’t like eating that way. I like some carbs in my diet. I keep them low. I also like red wine and whiskey, both of which I am very moderate on due to the damn hangovers I get now.

I’m sitting at 216. It’s my new normal. I’m looking to drop to 206 over the next 6 weeks.

Keep up the good work you guys. It took me years to get to 240. I’m trying to get to 185ish in under a year.

  4. Botas is the wingman at this point in the year. Bring home the constructors cup and help Hamilton win another drivers cup. He’s the second driver at this point. He is behind in points.

How about Gasley finishing 6 in a Honda power ToroRoso?? Kid had a good day and beat the Renault power McLaren.

I felt bad for Vandorn. He was running well.

  5. Always make sure you have some emergency procedures on your boat when you go out. Know where you are, closest ramps, etc.

Buddy exploded his knee landing a raley a month back. He had to direct the guys on the boat on how to help him, as they were newer to wakeboarding

The guys in the boat did a great job and probably saved his leg. They listened to what he wanted them to do and executed. He was lucky he was able to talk them through.

Just remember wakeboarding is an extreme sport and accidents happen.

    This is his x-ray.

  6. The new two story HEB on Bellaire in Houston was playing jazz for the first couple weeks after it opened. Not bullshit dopey elevator "jazz", but legit, classic hard jazz. Miles Davis and stuff like that. I thought it was fucking amazing but some assholes must've complained or something because last time I was in there it was back to your standard unoffensive pop/rock mix.

The one out by me on the Grand Parkway at Harlem plays Jesus music. It’s fucking terrible to shop to. I don’t need to go to church when I go to the store. I’d kill for pop music or Jazz. Instead, i just wear my ipods.

  7. My game has been a little hit and miss lately.  My draw off the tee has turned into a hook.  I've gone back to playing a fade off the tee and its improving.  Played tournament course at Golf Club of Houston on Sunday, eagled 8, drove the green on #12 and birdied 17 for a 78.
Played our Cypress course today since Tradition is aerated.  For those in Houston the Cypress is in good shape and its only $19 after 12 during the week, still only $29 on weekends.  Shot 75 tipped out, hit 10 greens, made 3 birdies, turned around and played 7 more holes with a couple of our other staff and threw 2 more birdies and damn near holed out on 18 from 148.  Hit a knockdown 8 which took one hop and stopped less than a foot after one of the other guys bounced one off the stick from about 15 yards further.

What’s the name of your Cypress course?
  8. Just finished a quick Napa trip. Thank you for the Odette and Barnett recommendations. The Barnett Rattlesnake is awesome and that tasting up on the mountain is one of the better ones.

We stayed at Hotel Yountville. It’s a nice place and we really enjoy staying there.

We hit Bottega and French Laundry for food. It was our second trip to FL and we probably won’t go back. Hard to recreate that first experience. There were still amazing dishes, but a couple of misses as well.

  9. HAM will be fine. He will race back into the points pretty easy. Marc seems to be having a string of issues this year, right when Ferrari are nailing it...

Biggest question - does Kimmy take out Bottas or wait for HAM to come through the field and take him out?

  10. I used to hit the roach coach by the engineering buildings often, along with the one by the main mall. Their hot mustard was damn good. An egg roll and pint of fried rice for like $3. Oh, and who ever said ‘96 - 2000 nailed when i was on campus.

  11. I’m still around. I’m down to 216 and holding there. Weight is coming off slowly now, but pants size has changed. I’m down another belt loop, so things are heading the right direction.

I’ve jacked my knee up. It doesn’t hurt when I squat or do any running, just when I move wrong. Is it possible to have a torn something and still be full functional?

  12. We'll give this a shot and report back.  Last night was better.  Instead of being up every 30min to an hour, she was sleeping in three hour bursts.  It's amazing what a little sleep can do.

Couple of weeks old?? You’re in new born hell. It will get better really, really soon. Not a whole lot better, but just a little better.
