Going to the game tonight in Arlington. I have low expectations.
That's the way to do it. Try adding a little apathy and you'll be good to go. That's about where I am until changes are made at the top.

I would like to see Yadi on the staff, but no way manager right now. They should fire Oli (and Bowtie) and hire that crazy fucker Joe Maddon.Dammit!
Thousands on twitter seem to think Yadi is gonna be the answer.
I cannot imagine Moze willfully firing Oli to hire Yadi. -
And in the lineup. About the only thing Cardinal fans have going this year is watching Walker and Baker. What a shit season.Tres Barrera gone, big ol’ Luken Baker likely up. -

Matz has to be relegated to long relief in the bullpen. He can burn innings when we are clearly taking a loss.
Yeah, if only there were someone on the current big league roster and sitting in the bullpen that could be put into the rotation. The front office is just so bad. The only reason that Matz is in the rotation is because Bowtie doesn't want to admit that he fucked up by signing Matz in the first place.

Or a cold cut?If you go to that Arby's and they advertise a new sandwich, The Long Pig, don't order that.- 2

The problem isn't the pitching staff that Mo assembled, it's the new catcher that Mo brought in. Either way this is presented, it shows that Mo is not good at his job. The front office is a clown show and Oli doesn't have the necessary skills to manage this team. Not rooting against them, but it would be really interesting to see the reaction if pitching doesn't improve over the next month. -

I'm not sure it matters if Oli has lost the clubhouse or not. I'm in near-constant contact with a shitton of Cardinals fans outside of this forum, and the overwhelming consensus is that he needs to go. It will ultimately manifest at the gate, and if that happens, management better get the message.
Do you think it will manifest at the gate? It may take longer than we hope or even expect. This fanbase is definitely loyal. However, the boos inside Busch this last series should be an indication of what's to come if the front office doesn't do SOMETHING.

That would be it. He would never talk about the clubhouse outside the clubhouse anyways. Not even to his parents.
That's because he's smart and thoughtful. That's shown in how he responded to the same question where Oli "thin skinned" and he was gracious.

I think you just asked him.
Maybe, but I really didn't intend to. I know that there is no way that he could or should tell anyone anything related to that sort of information. We, as fans, like to say things like "Oli has lost the clubhouse", but we don't know shit about fuck.
Hmmm..... (here's some speculating) Maybe Beau Vine not commenting on what his buddy may be feeling says a lot. Or, maybe his buddy hasn't said anything to him. Who knows.
-
@Beau Vine Not going to ask you and I know that you would not never share it, but man would I love to hear what your buddy has to say about what's going on inside that clubhouse.

The guy just pinch hit Motter for Gorman in the 6th inning. He's lost.

Even up 2-0 after 1, STL should never have had a win probability greater than 50%.

How I feel about this team right now.

Exactly who that comment reminded me of.
Hopefully that means he's on his way out.

This will go over real well:
He's such a fake tough guy.
ETA; Fuck! I can't just let it go. He didn't even answer the fucking question. What's your reaction to the fans being frustrated? Well, we're more frustrated than they are! It's not a dick measuring contest, you moron. This guy is starting to remind me of a passive-aggressive coach that once roamed the sidelines in Austin.

Huh... I saw a post he made on Instagram a couple of weeks ago complaining about getting kicked off of the field. He's an odd one, that's for sure.

Great news! New patch on the uniform will fix everything right up.

I agree. Mo has done the job that Dewitt asked him to do. I believe that for Mo to get fired, he would have to “lose” the minor league system pipeline. He is getting butts in seats, which is what Dewitt pays him to do.
At the end of the day, Oli is the fall guy. And I agree that he is not really suited for the job. I am not sure what he is good at in terms of being a manger.
Another fall guy will be Girsch. I am not sure what he does to be honest.Yeah, Girsch is definitely another fall guy. We all know that Mo and Dewitt are essentially the same person. The POBO title for Mo didn't come with any change of duties, just a newer, fancier title. Girsch is basically what George Costanza was for the Yankees. He's Mo's secretary/fall guy.

Do y'all really think MO is on the hot seat?
No, but he should be. Marmol will end up being the fall guy, although I believe he is in way over his head. The Cardinals have hired yes men the last couple of hires. Shildt grew a spine and wanted to shitcan Jeff Albert and Mo wouldn't hear it, so they fired him instead*. Then Marmol is hired and he is definitely a yes man. They (Mo and Dewitt) need their yes man and fall guy for when the penny pinching bites them in the ass.
* At least that's how I want to believe it went down.

So, has Oli and/or Mo been fired yet? I can't seem to find anything.

2023 St. Louis Cardinals thread -- fuckin' fire him already

My reservation is not regarding his potential to be a great manager. My fear is that he would be stepping into a horrible situation in which no one can fix without a full offseason. I don't want him to be Mo's new scapegoat. If Mo was to be fired along with Oli, then I'd be fine with Yadi now.
