Honestly I think you made out ok given the circumstances.
Oh, I agree. Listed them at midnight when our game ended for around what I paid for them hoping to catch a drunk Michigan or Husky fan. Dropped to about 10% below the prevailing price in my and neighboring sections around 10:30 or 11 Tuesday morning and they were sold within a couple of hours. Prices this morning are below what I sold for and not selling.
The TX/USC Rose Bowl was an outlier. Another one was Georgia vs. Bama CFP Championship game at the end of the 2017 season in ATLANTA. My son and I had planned a trip to that game early in the season. It was Georgia's first Championship opportunity in close to 40 years. I watched tix on that for a while anticipating / hoping for a drop that never came. Ended up paying close to double what I had originally anticipated but by then my son and I were sitting in our hotel in Atlanta starting to figure out what time we should head over to the stadium.
I think this game in Houston with Texas (especially if it had been Texas vs. Michigan) would have been ridiculous for ticket prices. I rolled the dice and lost, but

Walk of Shame time...
Bought two on Dec. 3rd, lower bowl 15 yard line "
TexasWashington" side for a smooth 3k per ticket including fees.Sold today for 1.8k per ticket net of fees. In general, the listing prices still seem too high, I'm anticipating prices in that area will end up in the 650-850 range by gameday.

My girls are still elementary aged but goddam I’m dreading their teenage years. Legitimately worried we might not all make it thru unscathed. Sanity and reason doesn’t seem to prevail at all during those times and love doesn’t seem to be enough. And I’ve already failed enough as a parent that they’ll have plenty of reasons to hate me by that point (and plenty of reasons for me to blame myself for any negative outcomes they experience). I’m their hero and confidant and generally their favorite person right now and the thought of the other shoe dropping is terrifying.
I don't remember the quote exactly, but back when my older kids were little I read some book talking about raising kids, etc. and the line that stood out to me was something to the effect of "you don't build a relationship with your teenager, you build the relationship with your teenager when they are in elementary school." Teen years can be tough, but patience is your friend.

Had. He's over 1 now. Nah, don't have the millions, but I do have 2 older kids to 'babysit'.
The scariest part for me was wondering if I would have the energy for a baby.
And I can forget about retiring at 60.Did you get much younger at that position or is your wife older than average also?
I'm asking as someone who had my last at 41 while my wife was 40. I can't imagine a whole lot older.

Hang in there man. 23 year old daughter and my wife had a terrible run from age 16-21. It has gotten better from age 21-23 (1,000 miles of distance helps) but if they are around each other for more than 4 or 5 days I start to see some of the old fire.
Shot of me exiting the scene when they get started these days.

To the comment above, I have 21-year-old son and a 10-year-old son. The difference in the parents' attitudes toward letting their boys play football between those two ages has been remarkable. My 21-year-old had 2 tackle football teams for his private North Dallas elementary school by 3rd grade back in 2011 or so. My 10-year-old son, they can barely field a flag team. I think 3 kids started playing tackle independently in 5th grade this year but no team of school kids was formed. I'll be surprised if there are more than about 15 kids (out of around 60 boys versus I think my older son's class had about 40-45 out of 60 boys) who come out for 7th-grade tackle football in a couple of years.
I know North Dallas private schools are NOT the most fertile of recruiting grounds but participation levels are declining elsewhere I'll bet.

We had him do a Cameo for my son's 10th birthday earlier this year. He went above and beyond my expectations for something like that.

It was awesome. My son couldn't believe it.
He has my vote!!

I can't imagine the communication management taking place with multiple baby mamas.
And F him. He's a piece of dirt that has done plenty of terrible things people overlook.
[csb]When our youngest was a newborn we did a family photo session with a friend who is a photographer to the rich and famous around here. During the session she starts telling us stories about some of the people she has shot and my favorite was about one of the Mavs who she did a session for with his wife and kids along with two other baby mamas and the kids from those. Some Male / Female / Kid shots and some entire group shots. Photographer said she was nervous the whole time but that they all seemed perfectly fine with it. [\csb]

It started before his arrival, 7 years of helton killed off any interest
it's almost criminal that Helton lasted 7 years there. It's like they just gave up after the shenanigans that led to him.

I am curious if the end game is two forty school super leagues or four 20 school super leagues.
But I feel like the playoff gives the ACC and Big 12 a good chance to survive as viable second tier leagues.
Otherwise I think things will become more and more professionalized. I do wonder if players will eventually start signing contracts to play for a school for a certain amount of time to prevent all the transfers.
I lean toward four 20 team leagues is probably where things settle. (2 auto bids to the playoff for each and 4 at-large based on committee selection (seeding also set by committee)
Agree that a contract between player and school is probably coming in an attempt to slow down the transfer whirlwind.

It sounds like he’s In the right place and the debt / money factor is in his favor. He still a kid, let him figure things out and live
me / ee - I was a chem e major and we had a petro e program. Of the people I graduated with, i never saw near the success with ee’s as I did chem / petro e’s, and it’s not even close. The most successful ee I knew was a good friend and she went to work for a large company. She was young, columbian, drop dead gorgeous and damn smart: she got high end fake tits within 6 months of hiring on. Locked down a sr vp at her company and became a stay at home mom: maid, nanny, they travel the world.

So what would the financial plan be if he moved from A&M-TXARK to any of the other schools you mentioned?
Going from a free place to live and net positive cashflow while getting his degree to anything that involved cash outflow and / or debt would have to be looked at skeptically based on the situation you described.
Good on him (and you) for efforts to date though.

random FB accounts celebrating being #1 in the transfer portal rankings before the portal even closes is certainly a choice.
not just "random" but Prime Sports Media account. It's akin Luicci talking about how great the Aggies are doing in meat judging.

Wasn't it a new leader (Gorby) recognizing that the Afghani related actions of a former leader (Brezhnev) were failing and unsustainable in wobbly Soviet Union?

I think we all agree on these scenarios, but the estimated price range for each scenario is where we may diverge:
MAX PEAK - TX / Mich (possibly 2X current market)
Low PEAK - TX / Bama (1X - 1.5X current market)
Mid - Wash / Mich ( .75X - 1X current market)
Bottom - Wash / Bama ( <Face - .5X current market)
Anybody have a different order of high to low price scenarios?

Does anyone know which direction they’re splitting the stadium? Talking to tcu people who went to the games last year, they divided the stadium in half from one corner to the opposite corner (as opposed to splitting at the 50 yard line or the middle of the end zones). I’m trying to locate the right areas on the secondary market, and hoping not to buy in a Washington area.
I think this is roughly the split if it was even. I added the TX and UW in the areas that seem to be the school allotment for each school. In reality I bet it is 70% Texas.

I was charged $2800 for 6, so I am also interested in seeing section differences. Blind bidding kind of blows.

Referring to boys under 12 as master as opposed to mister isn't racist and if the boy's last name is Bates - should evoke snickering from all.
Have a buddy whose last name is Bator. Needless to say his closest friends always call him Master. That won't stop.

I think that is the tough part. These protests can't start as a few hundred that grow to a few thousand. They need to start as at least tens of thousands growing to hundreds of thousands. Anything less and they all just get arrested.
Building the initial tens of thousands without being ratted out is close to impossible. Really sad situation for the average Russian and I can see how many just choose to flee if they have the means, or just keep their head down and hope for this to end. Obviously I know there are shitbird Russians who support Putler, but there are also a lot who just don't know what else to do but try to keep living their life and hope they see the end of this before their life is destroyed.
