  1. Somehow I never saw the initial announcement for this last year. Anyway, Season 1 launches 8/17 on Netflix.

    Great voice cast:

Created by Groening (The Simpsons, Futurama), the show takes place in the crumbling medieval kingdom named Dreamland and centers on the exploits of a hard-drinking princess named Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her plucky elf friend Elfo (Nat Faxon), and her personal demon Luci (Eric Andre) as they match wits with “ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.”

The series, whose 10-episode first season launches Aug. 17, also will feature the voice talents of John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.

  2. A possible explanation on such a dramatic swing in the Reuters poll was a huge dropoff in % of survey respondents that self-reported voting for Clinton in 2016:

The top-line result for the week ending 5/12 was D+4, and the respondent ratio was 40.6% Clinton/45.0% Trump.

Week ending 5/20 was 33.9% Clinton /47.1% Trump.

Not a single previous Reuters generic poll had a survey less than 40% Clinton. This week's poll also only had 1,022 respondents total, which is anywhere from 500-2000 less than usual.

  3. Fool me once....

Anyways, figured we would need some closure on the old Shag thread I started in 2013 called "New Tool Album Q1 2014" Lolz.

It looks like this might actually happen finally. Adam Jones has posted a handful of IG pics & videos of the band in the recording studio over the past few weeks.

And they just released what appears to be a sound-check recording of the first 4 minutes of one of the songs on the new album.

Oh lawd, don't get me started on that guy. Somehow despite his colossal fail at Linn, he still seems to have no trouble finding investors to trust him with hundreds of millions in funding. He's up and running again with a PE-backed outfit in Jackson Hole.

I swear once people reach a certain level in this industry, they can continue to cash in no matter their track record. Just keep failing their way upwards.

As for the feeder on 610N by us, they did the north side pretty quick, so I don't think that will be much of a long term disruption.

I hope it turns out that way, but according to Transtar they're expecting lane closures through October 19. Gonna take them a few months to do the outside two lanes, then they'll have to turn around close the inside lane once that's done.

  6. Thanks for re-starting the thread.

Next couple of months are gonna suck now that they're tearing up the eastbound 610 North frontage road. It's shut-down to 1 lane from Shepherd all the way to Airline. Just a disaster. in the evenings there's a line of cars stretching from Durham damn near all the way back to Office Depot.

  7. Linn formally announces they're  re-forming as a much smaller, leaner company, Riviera Resources.

Letting go of pretty much all of their existing executives and handing over the reins to a new group.

Turns out leading a billion dollar company into Ch. 11 can pay handsomely. Outgoing CEO will walk away with $60M.

  8. EIA showing draws across the board. 1 million crude, 3 million gasoline, 3 million distillates. 10.6M total commercial petroleum drawdown.

WTI approaching new 4-year highs. Currently at $68.20, back above the price on Black Friday 2014.
