Whenever we go anywhere in my wife's SUV, we have drama over locking the doors when we get out.
It's a newer vehicle, so no key - just the proximity keyfob. Which she keeps in her purse at all times. Even when I'm driving. So, I drive. We get to our destination and get out - I get out on the driver's side, she gets out on the passenger side (and of course, I have to wait while she gets out, because for some reason, she has to get all her stuff together because she was totally caught off guard by the fact that we were actually heading to a destination). I cannot lock the doors, because I don't have the fob. I can't press the button (obviously). But you can also just press the little button on the door handle to lock the doors....if you have the fob on you, right next to the door. Which I do not. So, we get out, and I ask her to lock the doors, and she gets exasperated with me EVERY SINGLE TIME. Often "you can just press the button on the door, you know." No, I can't. Because you got out and immediately walked away from the car.
But if I ask her to give me her keys before we leave the house, she gets annoyed because she has to dig them out of her purse (which has 479 "secret compartment pockets," and the key is in the 234th one).
So, bottom line, whenever I drive her car anywhere, she's going to be annoyed with me not being able to lock the door even though she is solely responsible for the fact that I am unable to lock the door.
At least if this was my wife’s SUV, you don’t understand how key fobs work at all. You can still lock the car by pushing the door handle even if the key is in her purse on the other side of the vehicle. The fob doesn’t have to be beside the door handle you use to lock the vehicle. -
nvm.

Was on hand yesterday to see Baylor lose. His attendance is the kiss of death to Texas teams.
Someone should go through his twitter and figure out his actual record in games he attended in person. -

Barton Bands are inexpensive and decent quality. That way if you cant return them you can just throw them in a lake.
Picked this up as my summer watch (don’t think I’ve posted it before) and put a Barton Band on it:

Enjoyed this. Good stuff. -
Somebody posted this a few months ago, but I can’t remember who to give credit to. Really flavorful dish. Pepperoncini chicken:

Not really. You may get lucky but they turn people down a dozen times each time I’m there.
Go for lunch. It’s a limited menu but you can get a reservation a couple days out usually.- 2

Well that was dark as shit. I only laughed at Jesse’s heel click jump. The show did do an incredible job of casting the young versions of Jesse, Judy, and Kelvin.
To be perfectly honest, I don’t care for the mental health jokes. This shit is no joke, and it feels like they’re punching down. Judy could be a really funny, confident character. Don’t belittle her because she’s sick.
Why do you keep watching? Why do you keep posting about it? If you don’t like it just stop.- 2

The shrimp/crab combo looks excellent, but I have to comment on the ceviche. I had never made it myself until about two years ago. It's incredibly easy, damn tasty, and an easy way to impress guests. I usually use snapper, but I got some fresh tuna on my last trip to Rosemary Beach and used it for ceviche. Good stuff.
I usually use snapper, but the freezer where we were staying was stocked with tuna they had recently caught, so I went that route. No shrimp due to food allergies.- 2

We were planning on making BBQ shrimp but then checked the crab traps where we’re staying and threw some crab in:

I attended an event at Navy Blue a few weeks back. Probably tried most of the menu as it was served family style. The food was great. No clue on the cost value analysis because I never saw a menu and didn’t pay for dinner.

Los Tios
And you shouldn't be a Los Tios family. La Fiesta 1A, La Hacienda 1B... Los Tios C.
Bacaro is pretty good. Urban American Kitchen is as well. Pizarro's is overrated and overpriced. Hungry's has some good food.
Drive down Memorial to Jonathan's or The Union Kitchen. Jonathan's in particular is outstanding.
There’s a lot to unwrap here. I think my biggest issue is with Union Kitchen? Really? You’re actually recommending Union Kitchen?- 1

We went a couple of months after it opened and weren't overly impressed and have never been back.
This was our experience. It wasn’t bad but don’t think I’ve even thought of it for a meal since then. Was just kind of meh. -
Street to Kitchen thai in the East End is finominle
Probably my favorite restaurant in town over the past six months or so.
The dessert literally brought my wife to tears it reminded her so much of a dish her mother made.- 4

They often have some non menu specials. Can’t say they have it all the time.

Tell me more about pepperoncini chicken.

Since we've sidetracked into Houston-area brisket fried rice, the version of it at Blind Goat is significantly better than what I've had at Blood Bros. Not a BBQ restaurant, but a good BBQ-adjacent dish I guess.

If these Latin American countries weren’t such shitholes, you’d have a lot less of the stars from those countries playing in this. The WBC is really the only thing these countries have going for them now so they feel the pressure to play. I mean, look at the scrubs the USA has on their pitching staff. It’s a joke.
Worthless post from a worthless poster.- 3
