Maybe the Hawks moved on Dejounte not to pair him with Trae but to make Trae moveable.

https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/highest-fg-percentage-in-a-triple-double-game-ever 3 of the top 15 FG% in a triple double belong to the Joker, two of them in the last two weeks. Of that list only Wilt had games with as many shots and points.

Li'l dude can't sneak in and out of an open garage with a couple Nerf guns without getting caught and you think he can execute what is a minimum 45 minute prank in the front yard?

I assume Philly would have to give up young guys like maxey and thybulle to pull off that trade, which makes no sense for them. This team is their best chance to win a title since they chose Simmons over Butler.

2022-2023 Dallas Mavericks season thread: Luka's first MVP
Dinwiddie, Luka, and Wood can ball together if they get some more athletic 3 and D guys to complement them. They need a couple of dudes in the mold of Mikal Bridges, Matisse Thybulle, Dillon Brooks, Alex Caruso or Javonte Green (given in intentional order).

I can't tell if it's deliberate or not, but you are continuously missing the point. Yes, the thread title is embarrassing -- because it is an indictment of the morons who were legitimately calling it into question. The OP was not among those. The thread title was a call out of those morons, not a call out of KD, and it continues to be so.

I'm convinced he's playing with his non dominant hand and is not really left handed.

NBA 2022-2023 Season Thread
It's definitely true that the individual skill level of players on their first day in the league is far higher than in the past. The evolution of the game to focus on the 3 ball has helped equalize things too. Any team can get hot or go cold on a given night whereas teams from the 90s or early 2000s built around a dominant big in the paint or a dominant guard driving to the rack probably have a smaller standard deviation game to game. The three ball is also something any player can master with reps. You have to be touched by the basketball fairy at birth to be Ja or AI whose athleticism just cannot be manufactured. But everybody can practice catch and shoot corner 3s and achieve a decent proficiency. So the shift in tactics opened up a wider pool of talent that can effectively implement those tactics.

NBA League Pass people, how do you watch games for local/regional teams that are blacked out? I can basically never watch a game involving the Blazers live. Is it based on billing zip code or IP address? Like if I access the app via VPN that says I'm in Dusseldorf or whatever would I be able to bypass the local blackout?- Kevin Durant Longhorn Legend

Random thoughts: After the surprising start Utah is now realizing the worst case scenario for them. Not close to bad enough to tank but fringe play-in contender. Basically following the Spurs model of the first couple post-Kawhi years. Speaking of Kawhi, not sure he'll ever be himself again. Still an impact player but not a dominant force. Good. I hadn't realized Brandon Ingram has missed an entire month and is still not scheduled for a return. WTF did he do to that toe? Crazy to think the Pelicans are 12-5 without him as he seemed to be on the verge of making a transition to that dude status early in the season. The Nets are a top 10 defensive team?!? Lots of great seasons by individuals right now, but the work Luka is doing is next level. When you talk about most valuable player to their team, no one is close. You could argue that Lebron is keeping the Lakers from being hysterically bad, but they're still terrible with him. Luka is keeping the Mavs in playoff contention essentially by himself. If Ja gets the 3Pt % up to the 35-40% range the league is in trouble. The Rose comps are apt, but injury risk and decline in athleticism is going to be true for literally every player. His Asgardian level athleticism is what makes him elite, but his skill and game management will keep him in the top tier even as the athleticism wanes (which barring injury is still at least 3-4 years from reality anyway). I really think guys these days come up with such better conditioning and mindset on managing their bodies that track records from previous decades do not necessarily apply anymore. It's why I think historical Wemby comps aren't entirely relevant, FWIW. 76ers are a top 2 defensive team but 16 offensive team. Did not see that coming. James Harden still plays for them, right? The Knicks are a top 10 net rating team but 15-16 by record. I expect both rankings to drop over the rest of the season and will be surprised to see them in the playoffs. Pelicans, Grizzlies, Cavs, Celtics in the top 8. It's a new era. Most objectively disappointing season to date is a toss up between Chicago and Atlanta. Most subjectively disappointing for their fans must be T-wolves who had the most unrealistic expectations judging solely by this board.- Gym Pet Peeves
Maybe they're just that stupid and can't grasp the organizational system.- NBA 2022-2023 Season Thread
I keep seeing that Dallas has the biggest odds to land Trae in a trade? For one, what would Dallas trade to get him. And the biggest, how would that even work with Luka here? They are pretty much the same player. Dallas doesn't need someone like Trae to get better. Trae could fit easily with Luka on the offensive side, but honestly so could a guy with one leg and no thumbs. They need a consistent 3 and D guy and a shot creator who is also a plus defender.- 2022-2023 Dallas Mavericks season thread: Luka's first MVP
He's their second best player so I don't understand this comment. He's clearly a valuable asset. Memphis, the hawks, and the nets would probably kill for that dude ion their roster right now.- 2022-2023 Dallas Mavericks season thread: Luka's first MVP
He turned autistic for a minute.- 2022-2023 Dallas Mavericks season thread: Luka's first MVP
Keep Luka, Dinwiddie, and Wood. Everyone else is available for trades at favorable rates. There are ten dudes in the G league that can give you what Powell does. Same for Bertans. It wouldn't take much to upgrade this team considerably.- NBA 2022-2023 Season Thread
