Have a friend who has a cabin right by there. Brutal. I mean, they won't even show you a live feed...

Timely bump. I started poking around for places to do another quick run with my sons on President's Day and the snow situation is looking pretty grim at Steamboat. It's hard to throw down the cash on a hope and a prayer that it starts dumping.

I started running about 6 weeks ago after never really being a runner. At first I was just walking a couple of miles while my son was doing soccer practice. Started to jog for a few minutes at a time during the walks and worked up to running a couple of miles without stopping. After a month or so I decided to train enough to try and beat my sons in the Turkey Trot this year. My older son is a swimmer so it’s going to be tough for me to get him, but he’s going to have to suffer to do it.
My goal initially was to run the 5k in under 30 minutes, but now I think I can get under 28. I’ve done some interval runs, a few tempo runs, base runs, and held my target race pace for 2 miles yesterday. I got a Garmin Forerunner and that has been really helpful with pacing and tracking my progress. It has a race predictor feature and thinks I can run a 5k in 24:55, but my fastest mile time so far is only 8:42.
I definitely get the runners high now and crave getting out there. I’m 46, but am hoping that since I don’t really have many miles on my knees that I can keep it up. I feel so much better and my mental health is better too.
I ended up running 27 low and beating my younger son easily. My swimmer son hasn't run anything longer than ~50 yards in the last 2 years and went out and ran a mid 24. I had a proud dad moment when he caught up to me after the hectic start and quickly glanced over at me before striding away easily.
Next year I want to go under 25.

Do y'all even stop to think about what you are emphasizing unironically?
"Of course ADP has stopped putting out the jobs report they've released every month for the last ~20 years! Pffft, anyone that wanted their company to survive would know not to do that."
Why is that? What would happen to ADP that might impact their "survival" if they released numbers that reflected a slowing economy? Be specific.

At least they tried.

We went to the protest in Nacogdoches. There were probably ~250 people there, but as others have said, it’s harder in a small town. I know quite a few people that definitely wanted to be there but didn’t go because their livelihood depends on keeping the peace with most of their neighbors. There were more honks and waves in support than there were middle fingers and yelling. But there were a handful of people making a fool of themselves yelling Trumpaloo nonsense - all middle aged white men.
It felt good to be out there and I did see a few people I see around town that I didn’t expect to see there. But it should have been 2,500 people out there, not 250.

He is 100% right about not running HID/LED in housings not designed for them.
I have done a few HID retrofits (added projectors to stock housings, and even used all OEM parts for one of them) in the past on some of my previous vehicles which was pretty great. I thought about doing it to the FJ, but have only replaced the bulbs with better halogens so far.
It’s really just a trade off for longevity vs brightness. I’m using these and they are good and I really like the light color (rated at about 3400K which is pretty neutral):
https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/LUM9003NGPS2_50/nightguide-platinum-car-headlight-bulb
https://a.co/d/gtyjerXI'm glad I stumbled onto that write up because I was about to just order plug and play LEDs to replace the stock bulbs. I don't want to tinker with adding projectors or ballasts or any additional stuff that is likely to be one more thing that can break.
Those philips bulbs look perfect, thank you for the response!

IEA Sees Drone Strikes Weighing on Russia Oil-Processing Till Mid-2026 - Bloomberg
"The impact from Ukrainian drone strikes will suppress Russia’s refinery processing rates until at least mid-2026, the International Energy Agency says in its latest monthly oil-market report... '
Previously, we had assumed a normalization of refining activity as we approached year-end but now embed a more cautious outlook,' the Paris-based agency said in a report on Tuesday. The IEA currently sees Russian processing rates at just under 5 million barrels a day through June 2026, and a recovery toward 5.4 million barrels a day later, with the outlook to be revised as more information becomes available. '
The increasingly widespread and significant Ukrainian drone campaign against Russian oil refineries and infrastructure' has so far cut the nation’s crude processing by an estimated 500,000 barrels a day, the agency said...
With the drone strikes weighing on refinery runs, Russia raised its crude exports in September to 5.1 million barrels a day, the highest since May 2023, according to the IEA. Still, the nation’s oil-export revenues declined to a three-month low of $13.4 billion, the agency estimated.
The decline came as Russia’s crude-supply revenues, which rose $200 million month-on-month, were more than offset by a $440 million drop for oil-product exports, the report said. According to the IEA calculations, Russian fuel supplies to other countries in September reached 2.4 million barrels a day, the lowest in a decade, excluding April 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic."
I was told there would be no math..., but ~90%(?) of Russia's refineries have been hit and it's only taken ~9% of their daily processing volume offline? I realize that they haven't completely leveled every refinery that has been attacked, but only 500k bbls/day offline seems low to me.
Either way-

Has anyone replaced the low beam bulbs on their Taco/4Runner/FJ? The low beams in my 2017 Taco are pretty damn paltry but I'm on information overload after digging around on the internet for opinions on replacement options.
This dude has too much time on his hands, but this is an insane amount of information on the subject:
https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/
His main rec for staying with Halogen bulbs is no longer available, but these seem like they are pretty close:

My son’s team plays College Park in their playoff game on Friday in Rockwall. They played them earlier in the season during a tournament and got waxed. They’ve had a good season despite playing a lot of Sophomores for significant minutes all year.
Rockwall Heath won their district and they have a kid that is a really strong goal scorer. I can’t remember his name, but he has well over 100 goals this season. Really cocky kid, but he’s got a great shot and plays tough defense too.
My son backs up a senior who is the best player on their team and hasn’t played a ton this year. The senior fouled out early in the 3rd in their last game and my son held up pretty well the rest of the way. He can’t shoot nearly as well, but he had an assist and a couple of blocks. Next year he should really level up. He needs to get meaner…

I played in a tournament Monday at Dallas Athletic Club and saw some shit I’ve never seen before. It was a scramble and the group in front of us were terrible golfers, but at least they were slow too. I noticed on our 17th hole that one of their carts was parked really close to the green. They finish up putting and the lady just drives right across the middle of the green. Not like she just clipped the edge, she drove around a green side bunker and crossed all the way through the fattest part of the green.
One of my playing partners knew the driver and called her out after the round and she tried to deny it.
Brutal to see the tracks when we got up there. The greens were in fantastic shape too.

It took me for fucking ever to find one. I know a guy that is one of the sales managers at a huge Toyota dealership and he helped me get this one for not much over what the dealership gave for it on a trade. And I still ended up spending almost 2X what I thought I could find one for when I started looking.
I had a 2003 four door TRD with 130k miles that I got $10k for on a trade-in back in 2010. I should have never gotten rid of it.

This is an old and tired game at this point, but maybe this will help some of you out.
Imagine if Biden had openly threatened to use the full force of the government to block Rupert Murdoch's business deals or strip away licenses from their stations unless Fox News fired Sean Hannity for the mountains of shit he talked about Biden.

Yeah, it's not the shooter. Not unless he bought the house at 83 N Lee Ln when he was 16.

That link doesn't work for me for some reason, but it looks like you are right and it's not the shooter's (or his parents) address. I was just posting what came up when I followed chainsaw's directions to see the form.
The Washington County tax assessor's site shows this:

If you click the little "Play" symbol on the right edge of that table entry it should take you to an image that this data comes from. Usually a filled-out form. Can even be handwritten.
No other Tyler Robinson's in that zip code that donated.
