There's truly nothing this admin does, or could do, that you don't chalk up as a win.  Your lurch from "both sides" to "other than perhaps his decorating taste, everything the admin does is a net positive," has been entertaining to watch.

I am not going to lose my mind over USAID funding cuts. They intermingled the very good with the very bad under that orgs banner. My greater wish generally in terms of haircuts would be for substantial military spending cuts. We all know that that is one of the two primary areas in government where fraud, waste, and abuse is out of hand.

What he posted, which was intended to make you believe that the US is providing the necessary level of funding to alleviate the crisis, and that funding has been restored or somesuch, was a lie by omission.

Funding has been continued, yes at reduced level. According to that article we are sending aid money there at greater than a 2 to 1 ratio compared to the rest of the world combined.

Still waiting on the "good things can be continued."

    From the article:

In a statement to the AP, the State Department said the U.S. has provided more than $168 million to the Rohingya since the beginning of Trump’s term, although data from the U.N.’s financial tracking service show the U.S. contribution in 2025 is $156 million. Asked about the disparity, the State Department said the U.N.’s financial tracking service had not been recently updated and “generally does not show the latest information on all U.S. funding.”

The department said it had “advanced burden sharing and improved efficiency” in the Rohingya response, resulting in 11 countries increasing their funding by more than 10% year on year, collectively contributing $72 million.

Just a reminder that everyone's favorite pro-life pharma libertarian was all for destroying USAID, regardless of the harm that might result:

Yes, the shit that USAID has funded over the years since its inception has fucked over countless lives. They were running drugs with the CIA in Laos within years of their inception. Training South American police in torture techniques, funding collection of corona virus in Yunnan, spreading social contagion programming...It's a long list. And yes, they dosome good things as well. Those good things can be continued after we root out the rot.

To that quoted text you can add "funded forced sterilization programs in Peru". Thanks for the opportunity to update.

Let me know wildcat if you need me to find an appropriate charity for you to send the checks representing your genuine concern on the issue in Bangladesh, versus just trying to score message board points.

It's been more than 24 hours now. Must be harder than he thought to roll that tape.

If this was RFK, Jr. there would be social media regurgitation across a couple threads on the board.

It’s fucking fascinating that a thread about Trump raping children has been derailed into vaccine talk by a guy that can’t shut the fuck up about the vaccine. These things are not related.

Its not really an exchange about the vaccine BOOM.

Thanks for sourcing me the direct quote re: testing:

"The way he (Trump) talks about the vaccine is not particularly rational. He’s talking about it being ready, he’s going to talk about moving it quicker than the scientists think it should be moved … . People don’t believe that he’s telling the truth, therefore they’re not at all certain they’re going to take the vaccine. And one more thing: If and when the vaccine comes, it’s not likely to go through all the tests that need to be done, and the trials that are needed to be done."

You see, anonymous message board users and Sally the Home Depot cashier on Facebook should be held to a higher standard than the President of the United States.

I haven't seen a single person here defending Trump's post. It's bottom on the barrel narcissistic lack of humanity shit.

Here is what Reiner said after Kirk's murder.

"I unfortunately saw the video of it and it’s beyond belief what happened to him and that should never happen to anybody. I don’t care what your political beliefs are. That’s not acceptable..."

That is a complete load of shit.  Roll that tape, I double dog dare you.

We scoffed at him taking credit for it, but that's it.

Oh please. Joe Fn Biden was literally on the campaign trail undermining the COVID vaccine development and regulatory process. Paraphrasing..."You want to be the first to get in line?" "It's not going through all the testing". A year later his administration is threatening to take away people's livelihood to coerce them to get vaccinated. Don't act like that shit was not political fodder.

Well he kind of helped "cure" COVID and almost everyone here probably got that vaccination when it became available. It was one of the only good things he did and he can't even take credit for it because his base turns on him when he does.

They were anti vax when it was trumps vax. Doernt tape much effort to roll that tape. Facts are facts.

Mom and pops have a place in this world. Especially with their attention to store picks that the big box stores have no interest in. But they shouldn’t do this to their regulars. I’m sure y’all would gladly pay $400 cash for BTAC. There’s still making money, and their regulars get a terrific bottle. Win-win.

    Spot on.

WLW is the one bottle I've always wanted to try but have never gotten a chance to find. If anyone wants to sell one to help  fulfill a chap's last alcohol bucket item I'd be grateful.

Same. Got this text this week. LOL.

I have always used the bucket on the tractor and some rope to string my deer up for cleaning. Put it in the shop a few weeks ago and it’s gonna be there a while. So I bought this thing and it’s awesome. The swivel that allows you to use it to load your harvest is kickass. I can’t believe I waited this long to get something like this

I have one of these and it is awesome.  The tripod pictured is tenuous. Needs to be concreted in for some weight. The hitch mount was fine when I had an old truck that I didn’t mind when it swung around and hit the tailgate. I am thinking about concreting a 4x4 in a bucket and mounting a receiver so that I can bring it out of the container and use it again. Either that or I need to figure out a better grounding for the tripod.
