Secondly ethnic cleansing =/= voluntary migration for a better life.

Just stop with this. It is absurd. You make other arguments that are not absurd. More of those, less of these.

Oh, yeah?  Well, when you’re floating down the gutter and I’m a gazllionaire, I’ll buy you a bottle of wine. You know, it doesn’t hurt to insert a word of caution. These are stonks, and as such, they are high risk and high reward.  It’s like Babe Ruth at the plate..  You either strike out or hit a home run.   Holding 27,800 shares at an avg cost of $9.77.  I’m looking for a shot into the deep centerfield seats.

Don't get me wrong. I love the stonk game. But I will take you up on that bottle of wine, and glad to turn you on to some of what I have in the cellar. I just can't with biotechs. It's all nonsensical and irrational and hits a bit too close to home. I have lost my ass repeatedly in biotechs. Bet on the ones with actually good targets. Lose. Bet against the ones that make no clinical sense. Lose. It's just ludicrous over an over again. And all the while we at a pop health level dump all sorts of healthcare resources into chasing ghosts. I just can't anymore.

Unless you got a hot tip. Then maybe.

Do we really need to go through the freedom of speech basics again?

Based on the past few days the answer is a resounding yes. Our university clearly failed a good many on basic American civics.

And fails a good many at the current.

    https://ir.immunitybio.com/news-releases/news-release-details/immunitybio-announces-positive-overall-survival-results-anktiva.

So, this week, ImmunityBio (IBRX) got approval for their bladder cancer, drug, Anktiva  This will go up against Merck’s drug, Keytruda, but Anktiva will become the standard of care for the bladder cancer indication as their results were much better than Merck’s.  Today, IBRX announced that Anktiva in conjunction with Keytruda  could almost double the survival rate in the standard of care for patients with >lung cancer<.  Even the lung cancer patients getting Keytruda and seeing a benefit will eventually relapse.  Adding Anktiva to the equation causes the checkpoint inhibitor to resume function.  This may exist for several other checkpoint inhibitors and represents a rescue therapy for those with failing checkpoint inhibitor treatments and disease progression in a variety of solid tumors.  To that end, IBRX also has a study in phase 2 treating pancreatic cancer with Anktiva in combination with other drugs (now, that Anktiva is FDA approved, label expansion based on second and third line trials can allow other applications).  ImmunityBio has a meeting scheduled with the FDA in June to discuss the path to a registration filing of Anktiva plus Keytruda for people (previously getting only Keytruda) whose lung cancer did not respond to checkpoint therapy.  ImmunityBio also gets $100 million in nondilutive cash as an infusion with Anktiva’s approval bringing their cash on hand to approximately $240 million for the launch of Anktiva as a treatment for bladder cancer.  IBRX will need to build their distribution network from the ground floor as this is their first FDA approved drug, but that’s going to happen.  Keytruda sold almost $7 billion in the last quarter as a treatment for various cancers.  Do your own DD, but IBRX appears to have limited downside and enormous upside.  *Because of the passing of my mother-in-law, I hadn’t planned on visiting Surly today, but the lung cancer treatment with Anktiva is huge and if you’re invested in IBRX or are considering investing in IBRX, you needed to know whazzup.

Here's whats up. There are trades to be made, but the reality is that there is a lot of smoke and mirrors involved when it comes to cancer treatment trials and the FDA.

Both only really require some common sense. If you really dig in, maybe the former requires some semi-advanced understanding of epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health policy. The latter is pretty simple and obvious shit in contrast. One is certainly more objectively outcomes oriented.

  6. The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign Nations, is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little Political connection as possible....

'T is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances, with any portion of the foreign world....

Taking care always to keep ourselves, by suitable establishments, on a respectable defensive posture, we may safely trust to temporary alliances for extraordinary emergencies....

Too bad we couldn't listen. So we will rip ourselves apart do the resultant internal divisions.

I’m not sure how well known it has been outside of Israel, but it makes sense of some things I observed while there.

Heh, maybe I overestimate awareness. It is well known among the armenian and greek christian communities in the holy land. An IDF soldier got into trouble for spitting on an Armenian bishop a few years back, some seminarians got into a fight with some haredi over it, and there have been numerous other instances of physical violence break out as a result. The clergy in the holy land have been filing complaints about the practice for a long time now.

Done. At no point does Brisket call you a terrorist for not supporting military aid to Israel. You made up that strawman all on your own. Par for the course for you.

You are really incapable of tracking the beat. Par for the course. Kinda amazing you grabbed that post, and not the ones that preceded it. Brisket don't need you white knighting for him. If he objects to me welcoming his evolution in tone on this topic over the last few months, or any aspect of my characterization otherwise, he is certainly capable of registering it.

FIFY. We can do this all fucking day. We both know that this is a deep and fundamentally broken geopolitical situation. You are just happy to keep on with the status quo sending C130s full of bombs paid for by American taxpayers to one side so that side can do the slow and just-acceptable-enough-to-you genocide thing to the other. This is the decency of the rules based international order and the Pax Americana afterall at stake.

And you're just happy to push for measures that will please Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah, and the usual crew you somehow always tend to side with.  Invariably.  Every.  Single.  Fucking.  Time.  With zero deviation from the course.  Yeah.  We can indeed do this all fucking day.

I can find the exact post where Brisket excused of all sorts of things for not supporting funding Ukraine, which seems to match the post I quoted save for Israel/Ukraine mix up. But I don't recall Brisket ever advocating that we absolutely need to fund Israel militarily. To be clear, he has expressed views both supportive of Israelis when they were attacked and condemning Israel for its current military campaign. But I've never seen him say that we need to fund Israel and not doing so is supporting terrorism. If you have that post, please point to it. But my belief is that you're conflating these events because in your mind they are all related to the US MIC that you oppose.

Go to the search bar, type in "N per 100" or maybe "c130" and see where it takes you. Warning: you are going to have to read multiple posts and follow the thread of discussion.

It seems like you're conflating your posts and the replies in the thread titled "Ukraine" with posts about Israel.

I am not conflating anything. I am able to track separate threads and keep the exchanges straight. I know that keeping the beat is something you continually struggle with though, so your post is unsurprising.

Funny thing is, my overall position hasn’t changed that much.

OK, cool, hookem. You accused me of wanting terrorists to win, and seeking the extermination and slaughter of jews, as I recall it for suggesting that maybe we not fund and arm an apartheid state. But maybe I misremember. Bullshit the posters that don't pay attention, but don't bullshit me, and certainly don't bullshit yourself brisket.

Again, I am glad that you are coming to your senses.

I said it several years ago, and as I recall, you agreed with me: there is nobody coming to save us. There’s nothing between us and the shitstorm. Not a single thing.

But in the overall balance, yes. I find no reason to disagree with this. Blips in history in the grand scheme of things.
